Excellent round of golf fast pace of play course in decent shape good bang for the buck

The course was in moderate condition but played fair and fun. The highlight of the round was definitely the marshal, Al, who went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a good time and staying hydrated. Thanks Al - you’re the best!

I had never played Montebello before and happened to get it on the day they punched the greens, but I liked the course.

Lush fairways. Good layouts. Excellent greens. Green speed is around 8 or 9 when played here today after two days of rains. A really good bargain for those who want to escape afternoon parking lot traffic in summer.

Where is the country club! No dress code lots of youngsters who show no respect to the residents . You are here to golf not be nosey or give your opinion... Its not your business? This is by farACOUNTRY CLUB!THEY LET ANYONE IN AND IT IS STARTING TO REALLY SHOW!

The course is back on track after a long layoff. Conditions are great as long as you stay in the fairway. A big shout out to the new management crew for their outstanding job getting the the course ready and getting groups out on time. Remember also the 10th hole is the starting point until further notice. Walking only for now. Only push carts allowed.

Decent course. needs a bit more water.

The course is well manicures, today the bunkers were packed to solid not resembling sand in anyway. But the play was quick, well kept greens, great scenery, the carts were washed and serviced, and ready to go. The coffee and the cafe were on point. Great service, awesome round.

Great public course right off the freeway, prices/rates are not to bad. Reports are they are going to convert it into a 9 hole course and put in a top golf driving range.

Ever since the new company took ove the course the service has gone to hell.No structure and no directions towards improving service to the golfer.Sunrise is at 6am... good luck trying to find the starter to show up to work.This place needs help.... seriouslyR M

Fine relaxing place for some golf

This is a very pretty place to celebrate any of lifes occasion, weddings, baptisms. quinceaneras. Nice green, lush gardens, Etc. The reason I gave it three stars is because their brunch menu is out dated in terms of providing meat options. I was there for an all you can eat brunch baby shower. Very disappointed that all their meat was pork based. No chicken, turkey or vegan sausage or patties. All breakfast meats were pork.

Beautiful golf course! The gazebo garden area was beautifully decorated for my friends wedding. The location for the reception was amazing. Also beautifully decorated. I would have an event here.

Decent Golf course for a round, nice greens

Course is always in great condition and the greens are a challenging offset to the open fairways. Definitely recommend.

I like playing in different places and this one is near by

Visited for a party in one of the Salons. A bit hard to navigate if you havent been there before. Easy to get in and ample parking. Would be nice if there was a person or signs to point you in the right direction, whether its for the course, the hotels, or the event building.Once everyone parked and made it in it was great. Food was great, attendants were nice, set up was nice.

Course is in great condition played in 4 hours

The pin placements were super tough today, the greens were amazing and the course was as green, green, green. Love the experience today.

Played here in April of 2019. Tee boxes and fairways in good condition. Greens were lovely and soft, but extremely slow. We left strokes out there trying to adjust to the slow speed. Sand traps were awful, full of hard dirt and small rocks. Very little sand to be seen. Length of course is good for the average golfer. The coffee shop is excellent. $45 with a cart is about right for green fees. Will play again for sure

Tree line fairways. Some really good par 4s . Challenging tee-shots . Good resteraunt and bar.

What a great public golf course w/ a fantastic grill & bar to relax after a round. Bring ur game & be rewarded. Great locals & regulars. The Golf Club & its member are very inviting.

Better park to golf ! Better than Coltons! But its much harder, longer drives.

The course is always in decent condition, the fairways could be better but the greens are usually good. The guy upfront is usually cool but has his bad days too.

Pro Shop needs to learn how to improve slow play. Staggering tee times better would help. Shame such a nice course is so plagued by the slow play

Well maintained course challenging but not so difficult as to scare away the average golfer.

This course is legendary. Built in 1928 by Max Behr on 120 acres in Montebello, this course has good routing, nice tee boxes, good fairways and tough greens. If your going to take a cart, wait until twilight for the better price

Course is in good shape except for the majority of the bunkers. They are lacking sand but, if they roto till the bunkers they may be 100% better.

Best place to practice at golf range the counrty clu b for special events. Nice park uphill shaded teees to relax with a beautifyl view of the Cities surounding the couse.

Im not much of a golfer but a friend of mine is always takes me with them to different courses I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Montebello Golf Course big very beautiful clean whoever maintains it does an excellent job and should get an atta-boy by the owners well go enjoy your golf on a nice day they have a great Clubhouse good sandwiches nice cold drink go enjoy your golf course Montebello hats off to you Norwalk Raider

Montebello golf course is always a great experience. The staff is considerate and always helpful. The waitresses are very accommodating and courteous. The course is in great shape. Thanks.

This place sucks. Staff is rude, heartless .All they care about is money. They don’t cater to brides, there’s no perks for spending thousands of dollars to get married here. Place is outdated. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HEADACHE. Sales reps are heartless, they’ll promise you the world then on your special day won’t even be capable of producing a piece of chewed up gum. If ANYONE. Has the number to their corporate off please post it. Trust me when I say this is not the place you want your wedding or special event. The food was gross! They’ll fool you at the wedding expo and tasting but once it’s on your plate at your event, you’ll want to hurt somebody. My wedding and reception was beautiful ONLY because of Tracy Sanders Event Productions (look her up).

Wide open fairways and huge greens make this a fun course.There is a little water on the course but it isnt much of a problem. There is a cozy sports bar and adjacent grill for after the round 19th hole action. PS.....the bunkers need lots of sand added. They are beautifully sculpted but are mostly dirt.

Really good value for a full 18 hole course. Greens are in good shape but some of the tee boxes could use some improvement. Fairways are decent. Carts could definitely use a upgrade they seem like they are 20yrs old. Has a full driving range however golf balls are a bit worn out. Has bar/cafe/restaurant. Pace of play is good.

Totally agree this is the first time I saw people doing what we are sopost to do, living theyre on live and dont get in somebody elses life.I gat a accident on 60 fwy so I have to pull over on the street to fix the tire and force to spend the night on the gas station and they dont get in mad or anything else whit as THANKS

The bunkers are like hitting off of concrete, but the course is awsome

Course is in horrible shape. Fairways are chewed up, greens are ok, bunkers are hardened sand, like hitting off concrete. I played there a few years ago and it was nice. They mustve fired the course maintenance crew and never hired a new crew.

Greens are great right now. Rough is ROUGH...so just hit it straight!

Watch out for the old guy selling range balls. He tried to cheat me out of 2$ by giving you change with all ones.

I cant imagine why anyone would say that the staff at this course is unfriendly. Al and I were in town for the Rose Bowl and they bent over backwards for us. And dont miss the bar where the usual TV personalities show up. The golf pro Eddie is fantastic.

Been here many times before having the worst interaction with the Marshall on duty Saturday [8/18/2018]. After following my group for most of our round his racist remark on hole number 16 was the breaking point. We will not be back there ever. Course was in decent shape
