I cannot say enough great things about Amy and Jeff. They are truly a gift from God. They are so humble and welcoming of anyone that wants to visit. They are patient and will answer any and all questions you have.My fiancé and I stayed at the farm for a few days, and it was just a wonderful time. We stayed in Time Well Wasted and felt right at home.I have known Jeff and Amy since 2011 and always been in awe of how they run the farm and treat every guest. You have such a personalized experience, and each time you see something new.I cannot express how great they are in every aspect. We went horseback riding and paddle boating on the big lake. Each experience is unique and wonderful. I cannot recommend them enough!Dont think twice about going, bring your kids, grandparents, and friends! It is an experience you will never forget! Very reasonably priced with the best customer service.

After reading some mean reviews we were skeptical to go but I am glad we went. We had 5 and 2 year old kids and they were tired and thirsty very quickly. No one yelled at us. Our tour guide waited patiently. Then my sister with kids did not show up until the end. But all in all we still enjoyed. When kids are older we will come back again.

This farm is amazing! I can not say enough nice things about Jeff & Amy. Nine months ago I moved my family 800 miles to NC. We were building our dream home. In the process we needed a place to stay (my expecting wife, daughter, myself, 11 rescued pigs and two dogs). Let’s just say it was a lot of two and four legged critters. Jeff and Amy took our family in with loving arms. First, they are the most down to earth genuine people you can meet. They will forever be family to us. Please please please go and support this farm. They have beautiful cabins, both large and small, great fishing ponds and the most beautiful animals. Second, they have wonderful services they can provide (hay, field/pasture work, decorating, horse/dog/pig/any animal boarding, fence drilling, skid steer work... You name it they do it well. Again if you our your family is looking for a fun day trip or weekend getaway, support this farm. Farms and frankly people like this are a dying breed in our world. Thanks again for everything.Love,The Smith’s

Yesterday we attended a 3YR old party that was suppose to happen here, we walk up on a staff member yelling at parent who reserve the party! The inside was very nasty etc.. the party was suppose to start at 4’o clock and nothing was setup, the stuff was very rude because the parent was expressing how disappointed she was. Not one time did they apologize for the inconvenience or try to make it right. A lot of people had arrived to the party by this time and they Cancel the party. The birthday boy was crying and very upset, they threaten to call the police several times on them! This was my first time coming here and I would never come back! They was unprofessional and very rude

I took my daughter here for the first time. It was her birthday. First we scheduled a time to go horseback riding. Scheduling it was awesome! The owner texted me through it and was very accommodating. We rode for an hour. Then we went over to the petting zoo and was guided through it. Be sure to tip the guide ;). We had some time after that. So we grabbed snacks from the car and enjoyed a peaceful time on the property and made ourselves at home. I cant wait to go back!

One of the Greatest days experiences my family has had in a while... Staff was out of the way friendly, and full of knowledge.. we got to ride horses for 30 minutes and my guide was obviously passionate and well versed on the farm.. he talked about getting the opportunity to do something new everyday and was proud to be a part of this wonderful team... Thank you so much guys! The animals are well kept and more importantly well fed and watched after..all staff I came in contact with was well informed about the ins and outs about the facility including knowing how many dogs, horses, animals and backgrounds..I was very impressed with these fine people who obviously have a passion for what they do... Thank you for an amazing day, and if you are willing to spend some fair money and have a wonderful experience... An absolutely amazing experience! Came here from Savannah when the hurricane was threatening the south. The owners were absolutely wonderful. They offered snacks and drinks. Paid for the animal tour and horseback riding. Be prepared! Bring some boots you don’t mind a little bit of poop on. You get to pet, touch, or hold any animal you see! They’re all quite sweet. The guide was extremely knowledgable! You will not regret coming here. Spent about 3 hours here with the wife. Be sure to bring sunscreen! You will get to see the following: goats, turtles, kangaroos, foxes, camels, ostriches, cows, pigs, horses, donkeys, zebras, buffalos, rhinos...etc! And you’re up close and personal with each!

I can not recommend this place enough. The tour guides and owners were beyond nice and informative. It felt more like you are walking around on someone’s farm rather than a traditional petting zoo. A few free roaming animals and dogs makes the place feel special. Our tour guide Allen did a great job telling us stories of each animal whether it was how they got there or just personal interactions he has had with the animals. We were able to see a baby goat that was born just hours earlier as well as all kinds of unexpected animals. Find the time to go support them. Good people doing good things.

This was actually a really cool place! We got the deal on Groupon, and took out 2 year old daughter. Was a little skeptical because it was was out in deep Monroe, NC. We drove almost 50 minutes, but it was TOTALLY worth the ride! They had alot more animals than we expected, and were able to feed almost all of them by hand. Even our daughter wasnt scared to do so, and no problems with the animals being aggressive with anyone. The camels will steal your whole food bucket if youre not careful! Yes there were camels, goats, a zebra, some African leopard (?), ponies, pigs, and more Im forgetting. Really a cool place for kids! My daughter was talking about it for days after, and already wants to go back

Okay so this place had some very bad reviews and I feel that they are not fair. It was a very fun outing for my toddler. They had goats, foxes, zebras, camels, donkeys, several cute dogs... a good selection of birds and some other animals I can’t remember... it was definitely worth the money that we paid. The pony ride was great, my son really enjoyed it. Fair warning, the tour guide warns you that the camel is a food thief! I was not smart enough to listen and he stole my bucket of feed. So watch out for that hungry camel, but do go enjoy a tour. It’s worth the time.

We attended here with a group today. The group consisted of 18 girls who are 7-8 years old. These girl scouts have been on many outings and have always been completely respectful and well-behaved. They truly exhibit what it means to be a good Girl Scout. The Bad, Bad, Bad — The owner. Our group was scheduled to be at the event area to eat at 11. We arrived there at 11. Lunch was quick and the girls were ready to learn about the horse as soon as a hand brought it over. They went straight to the barn afterwards following the horse. The owner was at the barn loudly talking on her phone. She seemed more than a little annoyed with questions from each caller. In between calls, the owner was barking at the kids, adults and employees. In advance, we were told that parents and siblings could ride as well, as long as they were told about it ahead of time. One of the siblings was placed on a horse by her employee and she barked at him that he wasn’t a girl and shouldn’t be on the horse. This upset him and he didn’t want to ride anymore. She barked that we had decided to show up late and she didn’t have time for all that. The owner went on to tell another girl that she was way too big to be on the horse that her employee put her on. A mom told another mom that she would be writing a bad review due to her rudeness. This was apparently overheard and shared with the owner. Our group was split into two groups with one going riding and the others going on a petting zoo tour. Upon arriving back to the barn with the first group, the owner loudly said that she wasn’t taking the other group because of how the girls treated her horses. Most of these girls were scared but excited to be on a horse. They certainly were not acting wild or being mean in any way. As she’s leading a horse away, she suddenly turned and freaked out saying that if someone wanted to write a bad review about her then she would give them something to write a bad review about. I asked her twice to please not do this in front of the girls and to stop yelling. She continued to loudly rant in front of a group of young kids.I walked away and took my daughter to the side and asked quietly if the owner had been being mean on the trail ride. She replied no, thankfully. Though one of the other girls said she had been loud and bossy. One of her young employees overheard me ask my daughter that and said that “if the owner had been mean then she had good reason for it” in a nasty tone. Our leader came down to find out what was going on and the owner wouldn’t even let her speak because she was ranting. This leader was only trying to make sure that the other group would be able to ride as well. The owner screamed at our leader and asked for our troop number because she was calling to report us to council. She finally decided to allow the other group of girls to ride but said two of them would have to ride together on the same horse because she refused to go with the second group.Never have I seen an adult act this way with children present. I absolutely haven’t ever witnessed a business owner or manager act in such an unprofessional and irate manner. This is clearly how her personality is under every circumstance because we were nothing but respectful there. The Good — The Petting Zoo Tour GuideJennifer led both groups on the tour around the farm to meet the animals. Wow! Such a nice person! She was knowledgeable about the animals, answered all of our questions and was really kind to all of us. Jennifer has a great personality and is perfectly suited for her job.The other owner came to meet with us at the end to get the final numbers for the rides and tours. He was very nice to all of us and thankedus for coming out today.Obviously, we will not be returning there as a group but they’ve also lost business from our family and friends as well.

Recently went on a family trip. To begin with the staff and tour guide are really really friendly!! The tour will last about an hour and its 10 bucks per person except kids under 2. I wish it was much longer because I felt rushed in the group we were in. They had a nice amount of animals and they looked good for being on a farm. My main complaint is that you had to pet all the animals over the fence. I understand petting the zebras, camels, emu and donkeys over the fence but the goats, sheep, pigs, cow and possibly baby Lamas would had been much better inside with them in the enclosure. But it was still a good time and I would make the drive again with my family.

I have boarded my dogs at WNAAA for 20+ years, Ive ridden horses there for 10+ years and my daughters currently work there. The owners have worked with several of my former students in the past and they both set an amazing example for kids as people and in the way to care for animals. They have enriched childrens lives for years and as protective as I am of my children, I trust them completely with my girls. It is unfortunate that there were 3 negative reviews left by a group today. My daughters were working there today and one of them is referenced in the review. However, this group leaving bad reviews arrived two and a half hours after their scheduled time and this left the owners scrambling to still accommodate them along with other scheduled groups for the day. The children wanted to choose their horses but that wasnt possible because of the number of children and the fact they were trying to stay somewhat on schedule. The children were excited and respectful, but some of the mothers in the group were overheard cursing (the F bomb no less!!) and being super disrespectful to adult and young workers alike. My daughter, who was referenced in the review, told me about this incident as soon as I picked her up today. She said the mother asked her child if the owner had been ugly to her because she sure is being ugly right now. Her daughter responded that the owner had been really nice and talked the entire time. When the mother continued to look right at my daughter and carry on in a loud voice about the owner, my daughter stepped over to her and said, Maam, Im sorry you feel like that but you guys got here late, there was some confusion among the workers, but I can promise you we are doing our best. The mom said back to my daughter, I am not talking to you, I am talking to my daughter! This is not pointed towards you so you dont need to go and defend her! My girls work their tails off to still accommodate them but were horrified by the language and behavior by the moms in this group!I absolutely love WNAAA and its owners. I love to see how it has grown and how more people are able to enjoy more parts of the farm. On a farm, come farm values: hard work, respect for animals and respect for others. If you come to WNAAA with these things in mind (and yes, there is poop on the farm !! ), you and your family will make memories to treasure! We do every time, and I absolutely love bringing our out of town guests there! ️ ️

My mother, nephew two children (ages 3 and 5 yrs old) and I visited the farm for a private tour this week and were extremely pleased with our experience! When we drove up we were greeted by the owner, her husband and about 15 - 20 dogs! Now we are dog lovers and were absolutely over joyed by this friendly pack that followed us throughout the entire tour. The kids were first taken on a pony/horse ride around the farm while my mom and I walked beside them. Then we visited the animals on the farm by foot with a tour lead by the farm owner. To our surprise there were many different types of animals and we were able to interact with them directly. The animals were all very friendly and the kids loved it! The farm itself was also well groomed and not super stinky and filled with flies. If you dont like dogs and a hands on experience with animals this is NOT the place for you. Id also say that the private tour with a smaller group is definitely the way to go. For about $25 each the experience exceeded the value!
