Lived in modesto for 8 years and this theatre is by far the best one here!! polite and clean, i movie hop without people batting an eye. worth it. buy drinks, buy snacks and chill there all day basically.

I recommend this theatre because its really nice, me and my family usually go on Tuesdays because it only $6 per person on that day which is why I like it. Also the seating is really good you have lots of space

It was okay the theater was a little too warm for me at least the popcorn lids to the buckets did not fit so that was a little disappointing cost a dollar for a refill now on popcorn and soda the most you pay out-of-pocket is for snacks and refreshments you literally can buy a 24 case of Pepsi for the price of one large soda I mean since when does popcorn or even a soda cost more than a movie ticket rhetorical question but jumanji was funny very entertaining spoiler alert there will be another one

The theater itself was good. Seats recline sound is great. But issue is with staff they are not trained right. Manners are huge in customer service.

Movie theaters are way too expensive these days, but the theatre is nice, reclining chairs, alcohol is now served. Friendly service. Popcorn is hit or miss but typically good. A lot of employees seem unhappy however, which concerns me for how they are treated/payed. 10 years ago it looked like everyone LOVED to work there. What changed?

This theater has been my go to for new movies. I always watch movies in auditorium 1 which has JBX sound system. The sound and bass is awesome. Shakes the seats which are recliners as well. The screen is the largest one aside from one other screen out of the 18 auditoriums. Reason for my rating is there have been times when I have gotten a recliner seats that wouldnt recline. Ive gotten so used to them now I wouldnt want to watch movies any other way. Very comfortable. Alcohol is also sold now and I love it.

Weve always been a Regal couple, since one was by us. I would have to say this is just as nice, if not more. Parking garage is nice and just a few steps to the front of the theaters.

I actually like this place. I grew up watching movies at the Briggsmore 7 and for some reason, I get reminded of that when Im here. Except now that Im adulting Im not paying for a $4 matinee and sneaking in to every other movie in the house. The fact that they have a great beer selection on tap, the lazy boy showcase in every theater, friendly staff, clean restrooms, and a video arcade make Brendan theaters a decent choice for the whole family or friends, date night, or even flying solo. Im glad they stopped frisking people as they enter the joint too. That kept me away for a couple years.

This was a very nice theatre. Seats were comfy, theatre was huge, and you get to put butter on your popcorn yourself. However, when I went, the bathrooms were not cared for. There was no soap in both mens bathrooms, and they werent seemingly cleaned on a regular basis.Overall it was a goos experience, but not great.

Whit my wife to see maleficent 2 excellent . I love nachos cheese jalapenos. Take your family. And have fun

LOVE THE NEW SEATS. Once you go recliner... you never wanna go back to a regular theater. The new upgrade looks good.

Always a great experience here at Brenden. My 3 children & I came to see a movie. It is a very clean & organized place. They have reserved luxury recliner seating & regular seats as well. We parked in parking garage conveniently across the street & the theater valet the parking ticket for free. We ordered a large combo of popcorn & soda, we all shared. Popcorn was fresh & good tasting. On Tuesdays its $6 bucks all day & night! They also are supported by Fandego.

This is a wonderful date night place. The decor is adorable and its in a really nice area.

Always great. Seating is awesome, roomy and comfortable. Its like everyone has their own recliner. Lots to choose from in concessions. Love that now you can also have a beer or some wine if youd like with your movie. Anytime there has been a problem they are quick to fix the problem or if need be, they will give you tickets for a movie at a different time.

This place isnt so bad. The seats are comfy and big, but need to be cleaned properly. The seats me and my friends had was sticky. Aside of that, the theater is in a decent location and they validate parking. They also serve beer and margaritas. Its not super expensive, but its enough to enjoy a night out at the cinemas.

Had a great time! The only complaint I had was that we had to make a point of asking for 3d glasses for the 3d movie. Many others in the theater had a similar issue, and had to go back out and ask as they werent provided them at the door.Getting the newer style 3d glasses that are sealed and handed out vs the facility spraying them to clean between showings would also be better.

Saw the Boy 2 and tried the jalapeno stuff pretzel and was really good.

A great place to watch the movies at. Love the lobby because of how huge it is. The workers are always polite and the chairs where you sit on are all comfortable. Love how they updated them to where we can lay down and put our food and drinks on the holders.

Incredibly comfortable seating with tray tables for your food. The nachos with cheese have generous amounts of cheese instead of tiny cups that you cant even fit a chip into. If you get the JBX sound you will find the whole theater rumbles and shakes with static free sound. Tuesday nights, seniors and students get great prices

Always a good time, $6 Tuesdays are awesome, when you have a big family its hard to get out and have fun as a family when your on a Budget, but for us a family of 6 its only $36 to watch a movie. Weve kinda started a family thing going every week. The kids love it. The seating is comfortable.

Hit up $6 Tuesday and we saw Frozen 2, well lit, comfortable atmosphere, theater seats recline and are comfy. We also got our refills for a $1 on our large popcorn and drink.

What an awesome experience I absolutely loved the reclining chairs. The only bad experience was with the lights no one wants to watch a horror movie with all the lights on had I to call while in the movie theater to let them know to turn them off or I would have watched a horror with all the lights on if I hadnt.

This theater is awesome. It has the feeling of an old school theater on the outside of the building. The prices arent bad for a movie theater either.

This is by far my favorite place to watch movies in Modesto the theater is clean and the concession stands has a good choice of drinks and snacks the theater located in a good location to have food and drinks before or after the the movie

They have upgraded the seats and added a bar so thats a plus. But the snack bar leaves alot be desired compared to other theaters in the area. A bonus is 6 dollar tuesday where you can catch a good flick at a great price and select your seats to be nice a comfy. Over all a good theater for teens and the young kids but mom and dad might prefer a upperscale experience for that midweek date night.

I havent been to Brenden in years mainly because of the parking garage fees, how the chairs were not yet recliners, and the area. They have certainly upgraded but when we sat in the theater waiting for the trailers to end and for our movie to start, there was a problem with the speakers. It was muffled for majority of the trailers playing and made us worry if the movie was going to be the same way but luckily the movies audio was fine. Yet, watching the trailers was not easy because the muffled speakers made me uncomfortable. It felt as if I had earplugs on or something.

Great seats clean, great sound just the prices for the food are way too high!!!!!

I went here for the second time tonight and watched How to train your dragon. THE FOOD IS AMAZING! LOL I love the variety of food they have to offer! I also love their reclining cushioned seats! When exiting the movie the cleaners were on their phones. Im still young too and I understand the high demand for phones but at the same time, it takes the professionalism out of what you pay for. I felt like they should have greeted and goodbye gust as they walked out. I like that parking can be validated! Thats awesome!!

Love how active Brenden is with community. There is always something fun going on in this center. See young kids hanging out which is a good sign. Well lit area.

I used to really like this movie theater but its gone downhill over the years. They updated their chairs and theyre nice and they have assigned seating. The snack bar is why theyre getting Stars marked off. If its slow the popcorns going to be stale. And also they are now charging a dollar for refills on soda. Everywhere else its one refill free. Theyre getting better but that downtown is just not the same anymore.

Tonight was not good. We went to see Lion King and around 1015 my daughter went to go get a refill an a worker told her they were closed. So then my daughter went to another register an he then told her the whole thing was closed. So when we were done with the movie i went up to the concession stand an asked for a refill the lady then gave me a refill. Sad that i had to wait till my movie was over to get a refill.

Saw the mule here. First time watching a movie at this theater and was impressed. The seats were amazingly comfortable and you can recline in them. The tickets were priced decent as well as the snacks. Clean theater, just a great experience overall.

The seats are way better now and I like the pre purchase seating, Brendan has come a long way to be as good as Riverbank Galaxy. Now they need better food and better beer. A dedicated place to purchase and pick up beer would be amazing. I hate Fandango as a third party vendor for online tickets. They use your email to send you garbage.

Great theatre and love the upgrades to the seats. Been coming here for years and never really had a complaint. Parking is free in the garage once you get the ticket validated inside the theatre.

Bought tickets the evening before for an all-movies all-day $6 Tuesday showing of RP1 in 3D. Show up 30 minutes early to get a good seat (4:30pm). No one taking tickets at the door or anywhere in sight except selling food. Get seated right where we want, and think: we have no 3D glasses. Go to the food area and tell them and they give us glasses. 5pm rolls around, movie doesnt see start. Send my son at 5:10pm to tell them the movie didnt start on time at 5pm. They send someone to tell a theater half full of people that the showing is in the room across the hallway. We walk in, of course it is half full, trailers nearly done, and no good seats left. Not sure how you foul things up this poorly, not having a greeter, not telling folks about the room change-up. So we missed the last 3D showing of the day and saw it in 30 minutes later in 2D. Not a fan. Wont be back just to save a few bucks, plus we can get assigned seats at both the other movie theaters in the greater Modesto area and dont have to show up early.

Since the addition of more comfortable seating this theater has become an, all around better, date-night stop.

Great theater. This is very amazing theater with really nice atmosphere. The theater has a classic feeling and does not give a vibe of usual mega chain theaters which is very nice. The seating arrangement is amazing, they have reclining seat so you dont have to sit upright like its a class. You can feel free to recline and enjoy the movie like you would when you are home. Enough space in front of the seats as well. Its not expensive either, would recommend. They also have bollywood movies sometime.

Adria waiting in hallways had a security come ask me wheres my ticket at just because were in the hallway doesnt mean that we dont have a ticket and I didnt show him cuz I need to show him but yeah other people that were in the hallway just kind of hanging out as well. Went to the hallway we had all kinds of trash the 2 hours I was in there nobody swept it up Bathrooms were not clean It was hot inside the movie theaters when we are watching the movie the air conditioner was not working good. I spent over a $120 that night it was not worth it $26 for 2 mixed drinks

Brenden Theatres is a timeless and classic theater that stays relevant with the soft and comfortable recliners we all love. From the downtown location and appearance you are put in a good mood before you get your snacks and see your movie. Branden also validates for the parking garage across the street so parking is taken care of. I would definitely recommend the experience of going to the movies at Brenden Theatres.

After seeing Brendan Theatres sort of evolve over the years, and having visited quite a few other theatres, I can say that we have a good movie theatre in Modesto. Unfortunately, prices for concessions are unbelievable and ridiculously exorbitant. Theres literally no reason a 44 oz soda needs to cost $6.25. Thats why 4 stars. Couldve been 3 stars because of this, but I relented.

Love the new chairs and staff are always friendly. Especially that one time a movie reel failed to work and we didnt end up watching the movie. However, they gave us a refund and a free ticket for any other movie of our choosing. Dope.

The movies tickets and food are extremely expensive. But the movies are good

This theater offers individual cushioned seating. Its clean. However, my only concern is that when you go and watch a movie at their last showtime, somehow it seems as if they turn the A/C down. This leads to having a stuffy screening room inside to the point where you are able to smell different peoples food all around. I dont know how it is to attend to other earlier showtimes yet, but so far the two times Ive gone during their last showtimes, this has been happening.
