My family and I saw Jeanne Robertson here on 2/23/20. This was our first experience at Gallo Center For The Arts and we will definitely be returning. We sat at the second balcony area in the wheelchair section due a recent surgery I had. To my surprise, our seats were wonderful and it was very easy to get to them. Access into the building was a breeze, staff was very kind and quick to help. Parking was also made easy due to a parking garage a 1/2 block away. We did not arrive early enough to get street parking, which seemed plentiful, but that was fine with me. My strong son was able to wheel me quickly down the street. The family and I enjoyed the hilarious comedic stories of Mrs. Robertson and look forward to seeing her again. She is a true gem and her clean comedy is refreshing. What a great evening to spend with loved ones of all ages.Thank you to the staff at Gallo for volunteering your time at the show. Your smiles and upbeat professionalism made this evening special. Keep up the great work!
We visited and saw The Blue Man Group. It was beautiful and we had an amazing time. It was our first time. It was great. Parking garage was close, and lots of space to park (paid parking). It wasnt too expensive. The lobby was beautiful and clean. Consession stands and bathrooms easy to get to. Small theatre great for a more personal experience. I plan to visit again in the future.(with-uh K)
Beautiful venue. Not a bad seat in either theater. All the volunteers are extremely nice and very helpful. Restrooms are extremely clean. Beverages available from beer to hot chocolate. Seats are comfortable. Modesto should be very proud to have this venue. Top notch entertainment all year.
The Gallo Center for the Arts is our home away from home! The center has provided life changing opportunities for our local talent and brings phenomenal entertainment to our city. We are grateful for all you do! We love the docents, coordinators and backstage staff. A magical and brilliant addition to Modesto. Kalea and Yolanda
First time we saw a play there. It was fantastic. Great sets. Top balcony still had great access to refreshments and restrooms. Very nice. We will be back.
Had the pleasure of Mannheim Steamroller s music from the 2nd row - wow! Good acoustics, so great sound. Ladies bathroom easily accommodates the sizable crowd with little to no waiting. (Yes, this is important to the ladies). Covered parking is across the street for a small fee - we paid $5. Ate a scrumptious lunch at the Fox pub across the street, reasonably priced. Looking forward to enjoying another event here!
Watched the house full show The Rumors on a Sunday afternoon for 15$. The stage was well lit and the theatre is acoustically designed. The overall look and feel of the building is very modern and rich. This is a great free for theater and musicals. The staff were very excited and cheerful. There was one intermission and the drinks were expensive since the cups cost 2$ more. We had to park in a parking lot in downtown.
Friendly staff, great acoustics, great lighting, reasonable priced refreshments. Seating is a little tight if youre a bigger person like I am. But fantastic experience. Looking forward to enjoying another show soon
It is a beautiful facility, clean, has some neat programming, a little overpriced *sometimes* for the quality but does give our Valley a place to go to see more upscale shows and the excuse to dress up and enjoy an outing. Going there is much much better than driving two plus hours to the way over crowded, super busy, overpriced Bay Area. Two issues:(1) one is that womens bathrooms should always be larger than mens bathrooms as the lines are literally out the door during every intermission at the womens bathrooms. Pretty ridiculous that we still have this problem at public establishments thousands of years later... issue number(2) two and more angering is that the concession *women* were all super, duper, crabby, unwelcoming, cold-hearted, and careless to be helpful last weekend during the Carmen Opera. That was very shocking and quite disappointing. Our kids noticed it as well. Bottom line is that Concession workers are a service industry and customer service goes a long, long, way to make the total experience wonderful or not. That took away from our time at The Gallo Center. We get treated much better at a Grizzlies Baseball game!!!!
For me the Gallo Center is a 1st class facility. It has a vibe that makes me feel like Im going somewhere special--beautiful theater, ushers are very professional and helpful. Love it there!
I enjoyed Shen Yun immensely. Not only was each number beautifully executed but I valued the message behind the production. As for the Gallo Center as a venue, I love it. I feel like I am going into a palace to enjoy beauty and fun. I appreciate the helpfulness of the ushers. Everyone tries to make the experience unique and special.Next time I will plan my parking better. Daytime programs are easier. For evening programs, I will have at least 3 parking possibilities scoped out.
Nice theater! Really elegant and clean! Just went there for my daughters field trip, I hope to go back for a comedy show or concert.
Beautiful building. Great show. Wish parking was a little closer or there was a side entrance into the center.
Great theater - its intimate, but grand. The theater seats 1200 and every seat has a good view with great acoustics all around. There are some wonderful events and performances -- see their website for their listing.
Im was very impressed with the quality of the seating, and the sound system. Although I was not impressed with the way security treated me and my wife. Apparently we were thought to be a couple of panhandlers or something like that. We were told that we couldnt hangout in front of the building. All we were doing was sitting on a bench waiting for another couple to meet up with before we went in to see the show. The problem was solved once we showed them our tickets. What really upset us was we were dressed casual, and well groomed. I mean dam how could we possibly be mistaken for a couple of homeless people ? NOT COOL !!!
The Gallo Center is a very beautiful building and the staff is very nice and helpful. I went for first time to see Felipe Esparza and he did not disappoint, he is so talented and hilarious. It was an amazing night with my family that Ill never forget.
I love this place. So beautiful! I have watch several plays and musicals there. Both theaters are awesome! Really nice staff too.
It was great. I once had a recital (dance) over there, it was great lighting and music quality. I hope i will have another one again soon.
I love the Gallo center for the arts.....every time we go there we have a good time! Weve been here for many different occasions. We went to the nutcracker ballet, and a few concerts. Very beautiful and fancy place for a concert venue. I highly recommend attending a show at the Gallo center. You wont be disappointed.
Beautiful building close to the rest of downtown. Walking distance of several good restaurants and parking structures. Kids have thoroughly enjoyed the classes they are taking and look forward to attending an event here in the near future.
Luxurious venue with a great sound system & acoustics will not disappoint! And the optimum seating arrangement ensures an unblocked view for all. Be sure to purchase your Tix directly from the box office to avoid scalper fees.
Great selection of shows from high culture to pop culture. Not a bad seat in the house, and there are usually options within our price range. (Its nice not having to say, All right, kiddos, you can either experience culture and innovative performance art OR I can help you pay for college, but not both. Whats it gonna be?) Love, love, love having the Gallo here in the valley. ️
Saw MST3K Live there, love this little theater and all the people that work there. So nice
The folks who work there are so nice and friendly. Always ready to escort a lost patron to her seat..
What an amazing place we have in Modesto CA. I have been to events held in the lobby, business talks in the theater, and world class entertainment. Thank you to all that contributed to making the Gallo Center a reality 13 years ago and for Lynn Dickerson for bringing amazing shows to Modesto
Ive sat in many different spots and I dont think you can have a bad seat!
Wonderful place all of the volunteers are very helpful. Got a selfie with Jeanne Robertson who is a very classy lady as well as extremely funny.
We were here with a school group. It’s always crowded with lots of kids. The staff always has everything organized and everyone is helpful and friendly.
We really enjoy the Broadway series. Wonderful experience every time we go.
I dont believe there is a bad seat in the whole place. Saw Bj. THOMASwas a wonderful show. I will be back again for sure... thank you for a fantastic night
Beautiful theatre. Not a bad seat in the house sound wise. A really great stage and sound crew. Id love to play there again soon!
Great venue for special events. Great acoustics and live entrainment unique to the area.
Not a bad seat in the place. Affordable tickets give more people access to live entertainment.
Best place to enjoy a show. My oldest kids went to go see the post modern jukebox show. They enjoy it a lot. First time gor my 21 yr old daughter to be inside of the Gallo Center. She loved it. My younger kids go all the time on field trips from school. Nice. Elegant. Place.
Great venue just wish there was more variety of shows to watch. Please bring Mariachi bands and some hip hop shows!
I went to support my 3yo niece and was pleasantly surprised by the outside of the building when first approaching. The landscaping is on point and lovely for visiting. I always enjoyed attending any event hosted by 5,6,7,8 dance and Im glad they had an audience big enough for the Gallo center. The seats are comfy and I had a lovely view of my niece trying to fix her bunny ears for a solid 2 minutes. I would go again.
Hard to tell when you are really there for a show or guest but the place itself is alright. Nice building
The Art Work Was Close, And Heartfelt. I Hope Others Have as Much Enjoyment From the Past as I Do. Because One Day The Population and Building Will Remove all Traces if the good ole Days
Seen (Fluffy) Gabriel Iglesias for the 2nd time. It was a good show. It seemed to go by just so fast. I received a couple of gifts from my man. If Fluffy comes again I am definitely getting tickets whenever he is close by. Fluffy always has a sold out show...so if hes in your area get them tickets quick.
Lovely facility. Excellent visibility, even from upper balcony seats.
Slick theater. Well put together and the staff is friendly. I got to see one of my favorite music artist there. Im looking forward to doing it again.
Nice and clean venue. However, if you are going to require a 5 month old to purchase a ticket you should at least have a usable changing table. Changing table was in the handicap stall that was locked with a note that said out of order. Smh
Beautiful building. Great place to see various performing arts. Concerts, shows, plays and Modesto symphony orchestra
Amazing!! The Staff, facility, and show were all Amazing!! I love everything about my experience there!! And I was on a field trip with 1st-3rd graders!!
Love this theater! All seats are great, from anywhere you can see the stage. Cant wait to be able to go again!
It was fabulous! Saw the Blue Man Group. Excellent show. Recommend everyone see it.
I love it I been here to plenty off concerts and they are enjoyable because everyone actually does down and I can enjoy it very well.
Beautiful venue. Friendly staff. Any seat is a good seat.
My wife and I came to see Jeanne Robertson. Should be a lot of fun.
A great venue for stand-up comedy, if you want to pay a lot of money see a stand-up comic
The center is very clean and well decorated kind of upscale establishment the seats are comfortable and there are three theaters inside the center they have a concession stand inside with alcoholic beverages that you can purchase but the staff all of them were wonderful very very helpful informative knowledgeable and just all over pleasant to interact with! We went to see Tyler Henry Hollywood psychic medium and it was such a great show at such a nice place!!
Was disappointed in the seating.Online showed our seats were in front middle row ...we get there and find out were not...was not too happy about this for what I paid for my tickets.Having said that...MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 LIVE was hilarious. Laughed from beginning to the end. #MST3Klive
The Gallo Center is the Jewel of downtown Modesto. Beautiful theater and a great helping friendly staff. But I was disappointed in the sound mix at the recent Forever Motown show. The sound engineer couldnt find a proper mix between the vocals and the live band. One lead singer went through an entire song with a bad mic. Very unfortunate.
This event center is a great location to visit and watch live shows and to listen to amazing music performed by Modestos Orchestra or by talent on tour and more. Definitely recommend this venue if your wanting entertainment. They do also serve beer and wine for the adults and a small assortment of snacks and drinks as well.
August Wilson play will be remembered for a long time.
Have been here for various events and always impressed as to how organized and professional the staff is. Not to mention how wonderful the events and entertainers are. Love this place.
Nice place.. Clean & not too big inside... So regardless where your seats are... Theres a descent view of the stage.
Beautiful building. They accommodated my handi cap mother and myself very nice. Staff was friendly and the venue is clean.
Stomp was absolutely amazing!! Second time seeing this.Always entertained! A must for families!
I have been to the Gallo Center around ten times over fifteen years, and it only gets better. There is a good selection of parking as well as location in Modesto. The feeling when you enter is excitement and the staff is very helpful. The seats are comfortable and the venue is beautiful. I will be back again and visiting is always a pleasure.
Great experience - centrally located downtown. Variety of shows for all interests. Great community center.
The Gallo Center is a really nice place to go to enjoy a show. The theaters are well kept, the bathrooms are very clean, and smell nice. My only gripe is that the snack bar doesnt really offer anything. They are hugely limited in their offerings. Other than that, I recommend you visit at least once.
From 10 y/o: Good concert experience, even in the very top row!
Beautiful auditorium. Helpful staff. You can also volunteer to work there.
Very nice venue!!! Very comfortable seating. And the people that work there are super friendly and very helpful!!! Will definitely go back for future shows!!!
This is a beautiful and well planned entertainment complex for Modesto, CA. Good sound, comfortable room, seats could use a little more room - but they are bigger than most on Broadway. We saw Priscilla Pressley and it was a perfect venue for a comfortable chat with her. I have seen musical performances, and musicals - all have seamlessly played this location with the same positive experience. I wish this were around when I was doing theatre in Modesto. I still love going to see one of the diverse offerings when I am in town.
Good location in Modesto for concerts. Study the layout of the theater. You can choose a seat where you have a wonderful view. Seats in the rows are elevated, so you do not have an obstructed view.I saw Yanni in concert there on June 4, 2018.
Beautiful building with every seat having an excellent view of the stage.
Comfortable venue. Well designed for entry/exit.
So enjoyed the Rescue Mission Benefit with Mac Powell and the Family Reunion!!
Our first visit! We saw Postmodern Jukebox and we had a great time. After intermission, drunk, annoying women a couple rows away were swiftly dealt with, once with a warning, and secondly with removal. Good job on ushers part.
Had a really nice time, great show! It was to hot inside. Especially third floor.
Not a bad set. Very nice.
Nice, clean theatre. Seats were comfortable, lighting and sound were good. The staff was organized and very nice. We were there for a field trip so tons of kids, and they kept everyone very organized in and out.
Always an amazing experience. Thoroughly enjoyed presentation.
Just left the Lance Burton show at the Gallo Center. Let me just say how disappointed I was with the show, it was the worst magic show I have ever seen. There were no big magic tricks, definitely nothing to brag about. They should have advertised it as a kid show because it was a ripoff for adults.
Beautiful center and every seat doesnt disappoint.
Gallo was great ! The BLue Man Group,They are very talented, but a lot of it I didnt care for, just my opinion!
