With the intricacies of Joey Jones football coaching career and the phenomenal teaching from the professors, South Alabama has a hard time making our lives better. But with the new and improved Rec center, South Alabama actually did it. Im not saying this University is perfect, but it is almost there. Could use a few more white ball courts.

I looked at having a birthday at the rock wall for my son. But they changed their protocol while i was booking! It used to be a great deal and affordable. But they have limited it now to only 20 kids but less the 20 can actually be on the wall at one time and then there is nothing left for the other half to do. They used to include the foosball tables and the indoor soccer courts but now for the same price you only get the rock wall. Its too small to hold 20 kids plus adults in that small space. Its a shame beacuse it could have been awesome.

The rec is always clean and organized. There is a wide variety of things to do at the rec and the facilities are very nice. In the weight room they have almost everything you would need including multiple Olympic weightlifting platforms (squats, powerclean, deadlifts, etc.).

This gym is an ongoing pleasure that everyone should go to at least once, John the safety specialist is THE MAN. They have a rock wall, two pools, a sauna, a full indoor basketball court, and even a golf hole so you can work on your putt. The only thing that I do not enjoy about the rec is that Alumni has to pay $100 a year for for luxury to go, and then an additional $35 a month for the entire year. So $520 a year if you are not a student. On top of that they charge $10 a day if you are not a student, another deal not worth it in my opinion.

This is a great facility. We were actually there for a racket ball tournament. I took the time to go through the different areas and was amazed at the size of each area and the condition or equipment.In addition, the basketball courts are large and open. The restrooms are large and clean. The climbing wall area is fantastic. They even have several table tennis stations.

Theres a really cool and handsome man at the front desk named Austin. Hes so upbeat and bright when welcoming the patrons. He always jokes about being a king and think he should have a name tag that says King Austin

Great place to workout. Just dont go around 5 to 8 because its crowded. They recently bought brand new cardio machines.

They have so much to do. Swimming, racquetball, rock climbing, cardio, weights. Its the best.
