Wow! What a fantastic remodel. All new look and quality seating throughout the whole complex. Did I mention that the new seating are recliners! Everything looks to be updated. Well worth checking out.
Its an ok experience, really your only option here in town if you want to see a movie on opening day. Prices are a bit out there but not as bad as most bigger city theatres. Its very messy in the theatres. Floor is always very audibly sticky and the chairs arent very comfortable for the price your paying for admission. Theres no IMAX option which is also a bummer. They do have 3D showing though. The create-your-own flavor coke machines are a plus.
Was not too expensive, matinee.
This was my first time ever being in the theater so Idk what it looked like before renovations. Its nice! The theater has comfy recliners and lots of leg room. My husband and I went to purchase some 4pm tickets but were sold out,so we settled for a 645pm and I could see why. The total occupancy sign said 51. I would have given a 5 star rating but the employees were less than interested in anything. not even a response to my thanks...it was awkward to be honest.
Love the new theater!!! However, before the new construction the heater when out in one theater and they still were playing movies without letting any one know. it was too cold to enjoy the movie. They should have shut the auditorium down or at least warn people. Also, they never have a ticket sales person out front so your always waiting behind food customers to buy a movie ticket.I love the new upgrades so thats why i give it a 5
Not too shabby. They made some improvements.
Just went to Call of the wild movie not bad, if you could dim the lights so you dont have them shinning in your eyes. the picture was really dull granny and lack of color! the big theater experience is truly over To bad
It was cold as hell in the theater. Like the heat was turned off! Good movie, but would have been a lot better if I wasnt wishing it would be over so I could get out.
Nice theater, but way too crowded with the new reduced seating and no cup holders between paired seats for those who share a drink. Appreciate the updates, but maybe wasnt as well thought out as it could have been.
Worst thing ever, my wife and I were enjoying the new Sonic movie, and when my son started crying, one of the employees literally kicked us out without so much as an explanation other than me guessing that my son was being too loud. This left me and my wife with such a sour expression on this place, and never have I felt disrespected ever.
Recently remodeled with comfy seats. As a result, the theaters dont hold as many people. Make sure you get your tickets online, or early in person.
It was hot in the theater on our last trip. Really hot. Prices are about the same as other places. You butter and salt your own popcorn which is nice. The seats are nice. Dont use the bathrooms if you can help it. In 20 years they have never been sparkly clean.
AMC theatres offers membership and promotions on its website that allows the movie goer to select the best experience in big screen movie viewing which is best for you. AMC theatres online posts dates and times of currently playing motion pictures and movies that will be released in the near future with options to purchase tickets in advance.
Good theater. Currently under renovation to have large lounge chairs and a seat reservation system. Staff could be better trained and motivated to better serve customers and avoid long lines.
I couldnt believe the poor quality of the cleaning crew. The floors of the theater were insanely sticky as were the seats. Food on the floor everywhere. I understand that there is little time to clean between showings, but if a theater is that bad, postpone the movie and clean. The length of the film should be plenty of time to mop the floors. Btw....the floor was so sticky, my shoe was pulled off of my foot as I exited the theater.
The quality of the movie projection was great, sound was good, and loved the different snack selections available. One major improvement needed: better signage! We are new to the area and there are no signs on the mall building indicating which entrance leads to the theater. If you are new to the area and reading this, look for Scheels.
Prices are a little high for tickets.Definitely not the best theater Ive been to. AMC in Grand forks, now thats the best by far as far as ticket prices are concerned...$3.99 + tax =$4.20.
If you’re 30 mins late to a movie don’t bother coming. We got there at 6:30pm when the movie was at 6pm and they will NOT let you buy the ticket or into the theater to watch the movie with your friends(even tho they were already inside).I also lost my wallet in a theater here before and called the theater the next day so they would check and they said there wasn’t anything. I find out through a Facebook post from a buy/sell group that it was indeed in the theater and they found it instead of the employees there.
It’s great for what it is. Not the nicest but the balance of price and quality is about right.
Rude staff who wouldn’t let us into the movie until 8 minutes before it started. Stated that it was being cleaned. Staff wouldn’t check status or anything. Finally get released in the theatre and it hasn’t been touched since the last movie. Cups still in holders and popcorn everywhere. This place needs to get it under control.
Love taking the family here. The snack packs help save money with the kids too.
Been going for years. Decent place to sit and watch movies. I love the AMC members options.
Can’t wait till they finish the renovation. Recliner seats and a bar. We have this kind of theater in Maryland. So kewl!!!
I was really surprised at this theater. The lobby is nice and inviting, but upon entering the theater room itself, we noticed the floor was not swept clean, and the back covers of some of the chairs were missing. I also have to note that the seats we were in were not comfortable. They leaned forward slightly. During previews, nothing played on the screen, but the volume was on. We could hear the AMC ads, but not see anything. That was peculiar. I wanted more. I wanted a better experience. And if Im paying 18.00 for two matinee tickets, I want a decently comfortable seat.
Was happy we could purchase tickets online. Got to the theater on a rainy Saturday afternoon to two people working concessions. ALL drinks (except slushies) are out! Come into the theater and the previews are running with sound only and no video! Come on people! Get it together!!!
My mom accidentally tripped and fell yesterday while getting in line to buy tickets for The Lion King. I can’t say enough excellent things about the men that came immediately to assist myself and my mom to make sure she was ok help her get up, settled in a chair to rest a bit and a cup of water. I think all 3 worked for the theatre, 2 were in uniform and one man in street clothes. Thank you again, we went to the 4:00 movie. You are truly gentlemen and good samaritans! God Bless You all.
Its a good theater, but a little aged. Otherwise, super affordable especially outside matinee hours
The rear ladies restroom was very dirty and absolutely no paper towels. They completely ran out of popcorn twice and out of soda cups while my husband waited for 30 minutes. It may be the only game in town but for the price we pay it should be a better experience. This is NOT the first time this theatre has been in this shape when my family has been there.
My Opinion- this place is absolutely disgusting. I’m assuming that the only reason they are able to stay in business, is because there is no other competition. I’m grateful to have experienced “real theaters “ in other states. Reclining seats, clean theaters and amazing food/drink options. Also- in other states, you can reserve seats. So no line waiting. If I was the Minot Manager or even the owner- I would be greatly embarrassed.
We enjoy their movie clubs and popcorn bucket specials. We dont see a lot of movies every year but if we do go to a first run movie we go here. Seating is good and the theater is clean and well maintained. If you go very often I would suggest joining one of their special offer clubs. We get some special offers and savings every year.
Good popcorn and excellent customer service
This place is in a dire need of an update. The place is absolutely filthy. AMC should feel embarrassed to have this as one of their locations.
Always has sticky floors. Most seats are comfortable, with a few exceptions. Usually no technical difficulties. Most staff are pleasant & helpful.
Apparently they like to tell even parents that they cant bring their children into a R movie WITH their parents.. thanks for parenting my kids and what I think they can see. Get with the times.
Its good. Just needs more icee flavors.
$9 for a small popcornThere membership charged me 75 dollars when I signed up to watch a movie then I was harrassed and said no refunds Im now suing for the harassment and credit card fraud. 2 staff agents of amc stubs harrassed me. Scam company. Staff said many people scammed.
Reclining seats make every seat great.
Polite staff lots of people to help on a busy day
Uncomfortable seats. Staff acts like surly bored teenagers because they well... are surly bored teenagers. Shabby decor.
Great theater lots of selections. Just wish they did 3d.
Its a nice theater, clean and its always fun to get away for a great movie. They lost one star because if the concession prices....I mean my grandson had $5 and I had to run up and help him cause it wasnt enough money for a small drink!
This was one of the dirtiest theaters that I have ever been to. The overall movie quality was soso. Concessions were disappointing and slowly served.
Very dirty, smelly, outdated, rude customer service at the counter, the popcorn is always stale. This theater is in need of some SERIOUS renovations.
Lion King was awesome. Grandsons were happy.
Nice and clean. Great place to watch a movie!
The theater you love to hate. The service there is like a deleted scene from Idoiocracy. I only go when theres a blockbuster movie that I super want to see. Even then, I set the standard for horrible expectations so that Im only a slightly disappointed walking back through the urinal hallways when leaving, (dont believe? Look at umpteen other reviews). I also find it cheeky how the five star reviews kind of sound like an AMC promotional.
Great service, great seating. Popcorn tasted great, fresh even though they werent busy when we went in
Great remodeled theaters, affordable snacksGreat staff.
Dirty! Popcorn, show tickets, candy wrappers in front of the butter dispenser. There was a storage closet with the door open. Lots of unorganized junk in there. Looked like that has been that way for a long time. What a mess! Then, I set my purse on the floor in front of me, during the show, and it was sticky from whom ever spilled a drink earlier. It wasnt wet but already dry/sticky.Really disappointed in the appearance of it all. Neglect, laziness, .......Probably going to go to Oak Park Theater more. Its cheaper and I dont need to see some of these shows as soon as they get released?
Movies are good the theaters are alright the people are okay
New seating - rigid but cushioned, good
Planned to enjoy a movie with my husband, ended up sitting in the theater full of children (infants, toddlers, pre-school, etc) who talked throughout the entire movie (Jurassic Park PG-13). A possible solution for parents who do not want to get a baby sitter would be to offer two showings of the same movie; one for families with small children and one for adults who would prefer to watch a movie without chatter...will consider another theater option next time.
Enjoyed the movie chairs are a bit uncomfortable but I enjoyed my movie date with the wife
Just a traditional movie theater. The audience was a bit rowdy but I cant blame the theater for that.
Staff is very helpful. Theaters are pretty clean but sometimes bathrooms are not stocked which can be very problematic.
Movie was great but I cant believe we paid 40.00 for 1 bucket of popcorn, 2 sodas and 1 ice cream. Snack bar is overpriced. I think I will just go to oak park its so much cheaper for admission and concessions.
The biggest faults of this place are not the fault of the employees... They dont set the prices, invest money into the cinema (or seating) or make the decisions that keep traffic within the business bottlenecked... I actually think the staff is holding together quite well as I do see the same individuals working there over time... Which says something - so thats good.Overall, its frustrating that THIS cinema is our only option in Minot. I wish the price werent so expensive for such a low quality experience. I am hopeful that things are changing for the better - but this place is in serious need of an operational over hall.Im not trying to be rude - but its a very sad state considering what they charge. No bad wishes. And I completely admit a customer could never know what goes on behind the scenes (rent, staffing, cost, etc...) But, as a resident of Minot - I hope something changes.
They didnt have anything playing on the screen during the pre show
Ever time there has been broken chairs, sticky floors, tears in the screens. Today the previews were sound only,, no picture, about 85 degrees in the theater, and old popcorn. Only first run in town, but hands down the worst theater i have ever been too. I see what zero choices do for owners and managers. Shame. You cut quality and cleanliness, but not prices.
Could be a bit cleaner but other than that, weve had great experience with staff.
Was a very good experience and easy to get in.
It is an in mall theater, so, its a little older, but still good.
The staff were very pleasant and happy to be of service
Pretty expensive and the theater was very dirty. Come one people help out and throw your cups and popcorn bags away and not on the floor.
Customer service was absolutely awful, buying our tickets and snacks was like interacting with a dead person. She was terrible
Disgusting and filthy every time we go. Completely outdated and it smells like urine in the halls. I have a very difficult time going to this theater and frequently reject offers to attend a movie at this location with friends simply because I can not stand to step foot in their restrooms.
Love going to the Movies here in Minot!!! Got good staff and great food and drinks for your Movies!!!
Best thing about this place is the fact that the movie was good. Prices were too expensive and the seats were extremely uncomfortable. For the amount of money that you pay this was definitely not good.
Nice clean friendly people working there
Many updates, and continually improving.
Place needs repairs. Some of the screens have noticeable damage and tears. Some of the seats arent in the best shape either. The prices are kinda high which would be fine if the place wasnt so beat up. The service is fine and the 5 dollar Tuesdays deal is great.
Way to pricey for that movie theater. But only real choice in the area. Kindve dirty alot of the times we go in and employers were sometimes short like they didnt want to be there.
Chairs are falling apart, carpet is nasty and the halls smell like an outhouse.
The theater is clean. The premier service is nice. The concession stand is pricey.
Theater was filthy. Seat arm rest was broken off. For the ammount they charge for tickets and snacks along with 15 minutes of commercials youd think theyd make enough to keep a clean theater. Not sure how they are still in business.
Obviously the person in charge of this theatre puts more money in their pocket than anywhere else. Horrible prices for snacks, food, and drinks. $6 dollars for a bottle of water is unrealistic. I’ve brought my son to watch a movie a couple times and we will wait for movies to come out and buy them rather than support this poorly run business robbing people of time and money they probably already don’t have enough of.
No ticket sales person. Waited in concession line 20 minutes to find out the movie was sold out! Very poor experience!!! Well wait for the movies to come out from now on!
Cold popcorn. pop dispensers had run completely out of ice movie was late starting just overall not a good time. i go to the movie for the big theater experience and wish i would have stayed home!
This place does not live up to standards of other theaters. They named it AMC classic so that way they wouldnt put any real money into making it a nice theater.
Clean but alittle $$
Lots of stores and beautiful store
Friendly staff, clean, over priced (food and snacks)! Watched Endgame and some guy fail asleep and this crazy girl used the back of her chair to wake him up! Super rude, we all heard the guy, but girl was just to wild. Some people
For where we live, in an area where minimum wage is only $7, this theatre is too darn expensive. Ticket prices should not exceed minimum wage. The annual bucket is a good deal, until you raise the price of the refill on an annual basis!! I can buy popcorn, soda, hot dogs, and nachos with Fresh chips, plus rent a movie from Video Magic for less than it costs me to go to the theatre! Its too bad they cant adjust prices to enable more people to enjoy a night out!
Nice movie theater great prices few little games you can play always can grab a few items at the concession stand nice friendly people overall my experience here has been really good so for me its a 5 star
Omg we signed up for the amc A list it’s only $20 a month and you get to go to any movie at anytime it just made sense anymore a ticket it $13 so why not pay the little extra as go up to 3 times a week for a month we have really enjoyed getting to go on a dates whenever we want and not have to pay crazy amount to see whatever we want! Also we played the arcade and won the road trip twice in a row last night and got to medium prizes was very enjoyable
Sound is always too low and screen skips (theater #6)
Ridiculously overpriced! Asolutely disgusting, food and ants everywhere. The bathrooms were completely filthy. Spoke to a manager and all he could say was, yeah, other people have complained about that stuff too. Will never go back.
My 35 year old buddy got carded for an R rated movie, confusing exits led us through a janitor’s closet hallway, through the closed mall, and seemed to barely get out before the night gate was up.
Its pretty sad how this place went down hill. I remember when they reopened the theater, it was well maintained. Now the floors and bathrooms are dirty, and some of the backs of the chairs are missing.
I came to this movie theatre & I had a outside drink which I threw away before I enter the movie theatre a staff from the front followed me into the movie theatre after I didn’t clearly have my drink staff need to work on communication with other staff members I’m sure they check if you have outside drinks when they check your tickets as you enter.
If there was another place in town, Id go there, but since there isnt, Im stuck going to this dirty, dated movie theater until something better comes along.
2 tickets and Large popcorn $38.02 If you enjoy shity customer services way over priced popcorn. this is the place to go i took my girlfriend to watch a movie grabed a cup of regular coffee from Barns&Nobels and the ticket checker told me i cant let you take that in there.... then serve coffee...
As expensive as these tickets an popcorn are u think theyd have recliner seats by now . There screens are horrible. U can see the lines in the screen, not to mention they are small compared to other theater ... You think they would have upgraded there tech by now ..I tried to buy my ticket ahead of time along with claiming my seat but u can only purchase a ticket . I live in Fargo so Im not trying to compare. But I really cant help it .All of Fargos theaters have reclining seats an nice screens . Not to mention a dollar cheaper to watch a movie .Minot movie theater in my book is garbage .an I dont give bad reviews offten but this theater deserves it . .. thumbs down
This theater was totally disgusting and dirty. You would think being attached to a great mall and motel it woulda been ALOT cleaner. And the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.
Too expensive for food/drinks and long lines just to pour yourself a drink. Staff is friendly but thats only good thing. Uncomfortable seating, outdated theaters.
Dirty, outdated, expensive and... oh, dirty! This place needs to be torn down. Minot needs a NEW and updated theatre that isn’t attached to a mall. Get with it.
Took a friend and 5 kids to a movie on Tuesday, Feb 20. Was in for over $60 with passes and snacks. Went to the counter later on to see if I could get a small cup to give my daughter some water. The would not give me a cup. I had to ask to buy one. The bearded counter agent (would not use the word “Customer Service Agent”) eventually sold me one for $3.22. Wow, talk about not seeing the forest for the trees. Congrats, you got my $3.22, but that’s the last dime I will ever spend at this AMC theatre.
Usually come here because it is the only theater in town. Tickets and snacks are expensive but so is other theaters. Lobby looks nice and their is some really nice employees. But when you go in a room it is dirty. Floors are sticky... popcorn everywhere. I dont remember amc ever being like this.Rented one of those mall carts for children for 7$ and drove it directly to the theater. Bought the tickets and drinks. At the check in, they tell me we cant take the cart in.... but its ok to bring in strollers? I dont understand? I told them I have been in here plenty of times with the cart and they never told me anything till now. I offered to leave the cart outside the room and they refused. I walked out to see if I see any signs prohibiting the entry with carts but their isnt any. Had to turn in my cart and spent 7$ for less than 10 mins.Lesson... dont bring in carts...
Way too much money I want to leave the theater with my arms and legs please.
Good place to see a movie go to the mall stuff like that
