Very small park but very unique in a simple way. Not much to this park, a tennis court and the tower (cant enter it) but an amazing view of downtown Minneapolis!!! Very great place to take some fall photos.
A cool park to walk the dog around while in the city, a few paths and a good view of Minneapolis.
If you want to see Intriguing view of Minneapolis. This is go-to spot.
Great little inner city gem. Best view in the city, its the highest natural point in the twincities.
Gorgeous sundown Vista overlooking Minneapolis skyline.
Lovely area right in the city and they have picnic tables.
Nice park. wish tower was open to public.
Theres two possible ways to get inside the tower. One is the day of the Pratt Ice Cream Social which the tower is only open for a few hours and very difficult to get into. The other way is to attend the Open Doors event for various Minneapolis buildings. I was able to get into the tower very quickly on the Open Doors event with virtually no line. Photo was taken from the top of the tower.
Dramatic views. Iconic water tower.
Beautiful view of the skyline. You can see all the protests for george floyds death here! Many helicopters circling above. Someone shot off a firework close! 2020 yall .
First of all, dont be naive like me, the way to top is not from the front, but from the backside. Better ask someone what is the way to top.And yes, avoid going alone, I saw people smoking stuff ( I guess) and drinking at the bottom of that tower. Though view from top was amazing. Apart from that nothing much here. Can avoid, wont miss much.
Pretty neat little park area. The trees are cool and theres a nice little lookout area by the tower.
Nice but small park area with an old water tower. Great view even from base of tower.
Very nice view of the city, I enjoyed it. Its too bad the top of the water towers observation area isnt open to the public.
Great view of Downtown and of course the Witchs Hat.
Super duper view of the city and the (tops of buildings from the) University of Minnesota campus. Good place for sledding when snow graces Minneapolis with its presence. Perhaps a good spot for a marriage proposal, though I wouldnt know about that.
Super chill spot. Good place to hang out and look at the skyline. Ive also heard this placed referred to as the witches hat. In a cool neighborhood with lots of trees and some short trails to the base of the tower
Awesome historic point is interest and great views of the city skyline.
Trash needed to be picked up. It was over flowing
Awesome view of Minneapolis
Nice little area to visit if you can. There is a good view of the city of Minneapolis.
Awesome scenery
Beautiful. The Pratt school has an ice cream social once a year and you can go up in the witchs hat water tower. Spectacular views.
You get nice views in winter as trees dont block anything. But could be pretty slippery to get to the tower, as people use Hill for sledding.
Sweet view. They should open the tower more often though.
Pretty little park, you can hear birds and the highway. Great view of the skyline, but could use a trash clean up.
Very nice place
Cool area with walking path up to the base of the witch’s hat tower.Once a year in the spring they have an event that allows you to go to the top to view the Minneapolis skyline.
Worth taking a walk.night views day and nightcould see whole minnepolis
Can you tell it was windy and cold? Fantastic opportunity to go up the stairs and enjoy the platform on Open Door Tour Minneapolis weekend. Now that pointy green hat tower isnt something in the corner of our eye as we drive by. We have fun memories now!
Very small, but picturesque. Good for a picnic in nice weather!
Always a good place to catch a view and chill for a minute.
The view from the park to Minneapolis Downtown is breathtaking ️
Lovely location with beautiful views... But other visitors were playing loud music and doing drugs. :(
It was beautiful but, there was a lot of mosquitoes & bugs that bite people!
As the highest geological point in the twin cities you are afforded one of the clearest views of the Minneapolis skyline. The tower itself is only open one day a -year- but just imagine the view. The park itself is compact with lots of tables, seating, and trash/recycling bins. There are water fountains and a tennis court present. Enjoy!
Nice little park and it was amazing to go up the tower for the views!
One of my favorite spots in the cities to relax and take in the world roundabout me. Such a spectacular view of Minneapolis! One of my favorite skyline and city views!
Fun quirky historic visit... Cant go up tower, only park around base of it
Great views of Minneapolis!
Tower Hill park is located in a quiet quaint neighborhood in the universe of the area of Minneapolis. Its many trees and fit Nick tables offer a very inviting environment to enjoy a picnic or family gathering
Always called it the witches tower. Grew up in this neighborhood, never realized what an awesome view it is up there but then again I was much shorter. Great place for a quick walk or a dog walk.
Beautiful sloping hill in the shade, and an excellent view looking out towards downtown.
A beautiful view of a city
A very nice spot to watch at the minneapolis skyline at the distance, unfortunately you cannot jump on top of the tower that is closed
The highest natural land point in Minneapolis, Tower Hill offers a great view as well as a historic Water Tower that you can summit one day each year. Though if you want to do that, get there early, as the lines go around the block. I think its during the summer sometime, they post it online, be on the lookout!
Is this place still open you guys?
Beautiful view of the skyline and a great place to run to or take your dog to.
Great view
Great place for a picnic!
I spent my first 20 years growing up on the Hill! Spectacular view of mpls from there! And once a year during the icecream social they open the tower to the public!
Beautiful.
Needs some serious TLC. Here is an idea open the tower more than one day a year and take the money to rehab the park. They could probably make $1000 every weekend the tower is open. I think that is a conservative guess too. Here is a mini list to improve the park:Repair the trail and rail going down the east sideRepair the blacktop path or install something with a lower grade so this is more accessible to everyoneRepair the wooden stepsRepair the water fountain that is like a giant bird toiletRepair the tennis courts that look like there were high by an earthquakeRepair the base around the tower with some concrete.Install new picnic tables and grilling locationsInstall a wooden fence between the sidewalk and university to add a little character to the park.
Nice park with good views of Minneapolis. Great place to watch fireworks on the Fourth.
Majestic quiet
Great view. A nice spot to visit for sunset. Plenty of parking on the street.
Cool place
A fun little park with a cool tower and great skyline view. If you want to go up in the tower (which is only open once a year, the Friday after Memorial Day) get there EARLY and be prepared to stand in line! We got there around 6:30 and stood in line for 2 hours. Great views once we were finally up there though!
Nice view of the city and the tower is pretty... But theres not much else going on. It would be a good dog park.
Wish it was open more often. The view is astounding from the top of the tower. Ever since I read War for the Oaks by Emma Bull, I have especially enjoyed this park. Its hard to be there without imagining gatherings of fae dancing through the night. Being in the park, I totally understand why Emma Bull chose it as one of the settings for the book.
The prospect water tower is 1 of 4 water towers that were built around the 1930s. The creative architecture and view of the city make it a good place to explore.
Peaceful, good view of Minneapolis
Beautiful views of the city.
Iconic Minneapolis landmark. The park is nice but few amenities. Go during the Pratt Ice Cream social and you can climb the tower for the view.
Good little park with a great view of city and claim of being highest ground elevation in Minneapolis. Also has water tower but its only open 1 day a year.I often watch the sunset here. On any nice summer nights, lots of couples, dog walkers, and groups of friends come to do the same. Can hear the light rail train below. The fixtures are a little run down, could be more seating, tables. Tennis courts seem active. There is plenty of trees and shades, so nice park for a hot day
You can see this tower for miles in every direction, so its view has to be great, right? Well it is:
One of my favorite places to go when I want to sit quietly and enjoy a beautiful view of Minneapolis. Great spot to picnic in a quiet neighborhood.Easily accessible by car, bike or foot.
Great view of the Minneapolis skyline! Has benches to sit and relax on to enjoy the view, I recommend going around sunset. Can be a little busy sometimes, my only complaint is the tower itself is only open one day a year to climb up it
Couldnt go un the tower. Not much to explore. Good view of the city.
This park is kind of tucked away and not to many people know it as Tower hill. It mostly goes by the witches hat because of the water tower. It has a beautiful view from the top of the hill. Unfortunately you can not go up the water tower except for certain times of the year.
Good place to watch sunset
Great city view. Avoid the crowd and enjoy peace and quiet during the week.
Fascinating water tower.
Best view of Minneapolis no matter the season. Snow removal to the top could have been a bit better.
Head down on Friday, May 31st from 5:30 to 8:30 to climb up the tower, it is ice cream social so there is also games and food!(Hosted by Pratt Community School) which is right across the street.
Beautiful view
One of my favorite parks in the city. The views of the Minneapolis skyline are simply stunning and breathtaking. I recommend visiting when the sun is setting to capture some amazing photos.
My toddler thought it was the funnest place ever to run around the tower and along all the side walks.
A great park with amazing views!
Lovely view.
A good place to chill with the homies at
Going to the Witchs Hat Park as we like to call it has been a fun place for my 3 year old son & I to venture off to when having our father & son days together.
Long line to the Witchs Tower was absolutely ridiculous. 3 hrs. a year just isnt practical for this event. They need to keep it open for a weekend, like Highland Park does with their tower, so nobody gets turned away.
Great hangout spot.
Great, quiet place for a nice view of Minneapolis.
Spectacular but limited views due to overgrowth of vegetation.
Nice place to take a walk. It is the citys highest point has a nice view of the city. Also, we saw a gopher and a bunny here!
Crazy high spot! Good view!
Pro: A beautiful view of downtown MN from a historical spot..Gives a good view of downtown from the base area too .Have local vendors with corn and snack stalls .Con: Access to tower Opens once in a year .Closes at 9pmLong line after 7pmcrowded on top by shutterbugs .No souvenir shop .
Really nice view of skyline
Nice
My dad used to take me here when I was a little girl so its fun to see that its still there. I enjoy seeing it driving past
