I loved it. What a wonderful, diverse park. Spectacular scenery with lots of green space that can accommodate any type of activity for any age - including pets. And the scenery and photo opportunities are spectacular, limited only by the imagination. The weather and mighty Mississippi make for a constantly changing display of the power of the elements and water - its different every time you visit. The park is surrounded by tons of restaunts and other establishments so its just so easy to find relief and refreshment whenever needed. Parking is a bit limited, but with persistence you can always find a place.Bottom line is it is always worth the effort to visit any time of the year. Highly recommended.

My friends and I walked the Stone Arch Bridge and some of the trails below. The DNR guide gave us the wrong info to get to the portable toilets. I liked the informational plaques along the way. I also liked the trails being flat and gradual. I read info but had difficulty identifying objects referred to due to the similarity if several of the trusses in the bridges.

A secret, not so secret wooded trail around the river in DT. Secret to me cause I never knew there was a little nature getaway right there in the middle of DT mpls. Its just a short path to walk around and see a few bridges and dams. Not to mention I got to see some ducks and their babys.

Absolutely enjoyable experience! My step son and I went here when we were in town for a family vacation. The day we went, they had a craft fair going on with music and crafts for all to enjoy for all ages! We loved the walk across the bridge into downtown. Beautiful sights, enjoyed taking pictures and loved the weather that day as well! Sunny and cool! Lots of people walking their dogs, kids roller skating, adults on bikes, people walking, talking and taking pics. They have benches in the park to relax, trash cans to throw away trash, of course! Felt completely safe.

No bluff but still a good park. Trails by the river offer unique mixes of woods/developed sceneries although can be spooky by yourself. You can hear everyone walking around by the road or elsewhere and they have no idea you are just waiting in the woods. I enjoy the cubes area, good for pondering.

One of my favorite places to walk and explore the Minneapolis riverfront! Connects to the Stone Arch Bridge and Nicollet Island for miles of uninterrupted walking. One of my favorite things to do is explore the islands and ruins of over a century of milling accessible by stairs from the end of the park near The Pillsbury A Mill. A great place to get lost and explore without going very far, right in the heart of the city!

Nice park, Stone Arch bridge. Paths to the river. Live music in the summers. Many 5ks start or end here. Stone Arch bridge festival on fathers day weekend is popular. Fireworks for the 4th and aquatennial are right nearby. Main St is historic and the section of 6th Ave SE reminds us why we dont make streets like that anymore. Parking meters are very strictly enforced, Stone Arch apartment lot can be an expensive tow so dont park there!
