Grabbed two friends and finally went. Ive been on a kick of just good lagers, Helles and such and thought this would be a prime spot. Huge open spot with two sides of patio and a soccer area. Also in house food.No flights so I had to pick and choose carefully, though what was listed online and in house were different and they were out of what seemed like a lot. Beer tender was pleasant enough and the beer fell about a step higher than, ok. Food was good, larger taco than I had anticipated.Do appreciate their costs for their 4 packs.

I love the theme and the patio area is great. The service at the food bar was great and they were friendly. Our bartender for the night wasnt the friendliest. The beer itself was also good, but I didnt find anything that wowed me. I will go back again and continue to work through those. The food is pretty good. Recommend the burgadilla

La Doña Cervecería was a great place for a beer. The beer itself is slightly above average but the staff was exceptional. The room is spacious and has cool art hanging. They misjudged the food truck situation for the Women’s World Cup event they were advertising. Food wait was 50 minutes to “an hour or the best we can do.” I would assume a non event day this would be a good enough spot for a beer. Parking was accessible and brewery and bathrooms were as clean as one would expect for a tap room.

Ive come here many times since it opened and I suppose Id better leave a review eh? I love this place. Currently they make my favorite IPA available year-round in Minneapolis (La Reyna), and the staff are fantastic and excellent. The kitchen is also amazing - try the chorizo tacos, or an elote. You will not be disappointed! Just a phenomenal establishment.

A great new and unique concept for a tap room. Beer selection is ample (but could improve with more dark choices, eg porter, stouts, etc). The beer I had was all above average (a tough feat to pull off with such a competitive beer scene). The Mexican lager in particular was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were reasonable. There is a large outdoor patio and a soccer field. Food is offered at certain times through food truck/visiting chefs. Artwork and ambiance was vibrant and engaging. There is plenty of seating available. Parking is free but could be more plentiful. They do not offer a tasting flight option for the beers (but they should).

I loved the beer and the atmosphere. But the thing that ruined my experience at la dona was the bartender we had last night. Obviously people go to bars to forget about their problems and anything negative. It was my first time there, I went yesterday Sunday at around 6 pm and the bartender was rude as she was counting money from the cashier, as if she was annoyed I had asked her to help me. When she finally did come to help me she kept rushing me like she wanted me to make my choice quickly as she kept asking me anything else several times. I was very happy to try the michelada there and it was a great choice, I went there looking for the same experience my friends had got, but it was much more difference the service was not great. That bartender ruined my first experience. Next time I go I will make sure to memorize my order and order as fast as I can so I can accommodate that rude bartender. If you go and run into her make sure to know your order right away and make sure to not take any of her time, she has short hair caucasian lady. Other than that the beer was great, but she needs to be fired or removed from the bar area because with that attitude no one will want to come back.

A great newer brewery in the up and coming West Loop. The interior design is distinctly Mexican, as is the beer selections on offer. Stout and Porter fans will not find much here. But you will find some great and unique Mexican-style beers as well as small plate food (snacks) at La Tiendita next to the bar. This place is big, great for large groups and usually not super busy. Bar staff are super friendly. Dogs are not allowed inside.

Great beer and food. Its a Mexican themed brewery with similar food offerings. The food is typical Mexican offerings with some unique items like the burgerdilla. They have a great facility with plenty of space and a large outdoor patio area. On the patio is a 3v3 soccer pitch with high fences.

Might be my new favorite brew spot in Minneapolis. Awesome concept of a Mexican style brewery in an odd part of town, but they definitely pull it off. The space is large and industrial, very well decorated with Mexican flare and style, and it is well set up for summer patio time. They have two bar areas and a medium sized event space that I am sure you can reserve. The beer was delicious. It was unique but it was not super out of the ordinary that you were surprised by the taste. The IPAs were top 5 in the city and I can see the Mexican Lager being a complete HIT in the summer. They have a mini-soccer field on the side of the brewery, with leagues starting in the summer. Put this brewery on your list ASAP.

I came with my girlfriend to visit the patio on July 14, 2020 for what we hoped to be a good experience based on the overall look of the space, sadly the bartender who took our order was so rude taking our orders that made a bad first impression on us. We left since is not ok to be rude to customers. The michelada was ok.

Beer selection was fairly standard but a good variety to make sure you’ll find something you’ll like, so don’t get turned off by not seeing “Not Your Average Beard IPA but 4x IPA Madness Extravaganza” or whatever flavor found under the sink in the menu - it’s good. Flagsmash was bomb. It was a quiet night but they have a lot of events so I will definitely make it back over once it gets warm again.

I ordered the Dona Fria and my friends ordered the Die Nacht and the Big Mama blonde. The beers were really good. There is a little stall for tacos and other snacks and possibly a separate area for private events. An odd order to have with beer but I ordered one of those tres leches and it wasnt that good. A cool mini soccer field outside.

This new taproom in North Minneapolis is about to become the next big thing. Even though they only have 3 beers on tap when they open, the IPA and the Pale Ale are delightful and enjoyable. The atmosphere is quiet but that is bound to change as people find out that they are open now.Off their patio they had a soccer arena and you can kick a ball around or join their new 3x3 leagues. Watching the leagues play is bound to be entertainment as well that is not found elsewhere at a taproom in Minneapolis.Although I have not experienced it myself I have been told that Saturday evenings have Latin Dance lessons followed by music and more dancing late into the evening.During the weekend days they had food trucks as well, so there should be plenty to do and experience at this taproom in the future.

Every time I come into town I have to stop at La Dona. The rotating craft beer is so delicious and its one of the coolest urban venues in Minneapolis. Im obsessed with the classic Dona Fria - Mexican Lager because its so clean and you can never have just one. The space is huge and caters to whether Im on a date night with the Mrs for their salsa/yoga nights or if Im with a big group. The soccer court they have is tons of fun too. Staff is always helpful/nice and the owner is usually around. That guy is the best. Highly recommend.

The beer and atmosphere was good. The service was friendly but the server almost charged me for three extra beers. After correcting her, I asked her about the extra cost and she said it was taxes. I didnt get a receipt. It was not until I saw the emailed receipt that I saw she charged me a 20% tip. But I had tipped her in cash. I trusted her explanation but she abused the situation. Also, one food truck was too little for the amount of people and the food was not worth the wait.

I was excited to check out this brewery in their opening weeks. The space itself is really a great mix of industrial and colorfully day-of-the-dead inspired murals designed by Luis Fitch. ️ the chalk art menu board was artfully done, and the three beers they had on tap were each distinct, myself not a beer connoisseur, I did enjoy the less hoppy of the three. We enjoyed a behind the scenes tour chatting with the founder and his quest to create a low abv light beer that could be enjoyed without worrying about getting too drunk too quickly, enhancing the social “stay a while” feel. They had a mini soccer field, a food truck on site with (of course) tacos, and attentive although slightly overwhelmed bartenders. I had to dock a star because numerous people had been waiting for longer than 5 minutes to even be noticed. I just think they weren’t prepared for the volume.

We live in the neighborhood and have stopped by a handful of times. This time i was very put off. We swung in with some friends (Friday) and was informed that they were closed for a private event. The person at the door told us to come back in a half hour. We went next door for a few drinks and came back and the doors were open, but the beer tender informed us they were closed for the whole evening, even though the event ended. We simply told him what we were told (to come back) and with snark, he told us the person who told us that didn’t work there and continued to make rude responses when we expressed our dissatisfaction about the situation. We dont plan on returning. Last time we visited, there was a cover charge as well for a dance class in another room. No big deal, but it seems like a common occurrence to be inaccessible for folks to just simply grab a beer.

The beer is good but the service is terrible. Especially the bartender with the man bun. He’s rude and abrupt and you have to really work hard to get him to serve you. I’ve been here twice. The first time I was so disappointed that I walked out and went out to the distillery next doors where the service is excellent. If I was the owner I’d have a serious conversation with Mr. Manbun and try for an attitude adjustment. Unless of course he’s the owner. I won’t be back.

Stopped in Saturday’s night and was excited as I have lived in NOMI for 10 years. However, had a disappointing experience.Came in and was not serviced for 20 minutes, not even acknowledged. The bartender was pouring growlers and there was what looked like another bartender/busboy. The busboy said he was not allowed to serve us - and did not serve us but served other people ) please see picture). Once the woman bartender was done with the growlers she still didn’t serve us until flagged down. I ordered an IPA and she responded “don’t you want the Mexican Lager”. Perhaps I am not privy to a Mexican IPA but it tasted like a lager. Am interested to be educated more as I am used to a Surly Furious IPA and was expecting more of a hoppy IPA bite to it. I then finished the IPA and the “busboy” asked if we wanted another drink. Again, we never flagged him down as he had originally said he couldn’t serve. Really wanted to love this neighborhood place so ordered another beer and had the Bromista. For a pale ale it had a good flavor. Not sure, if we’ll be back, maybe it was since they are new but I was not impressed and with so many other places I and wish them the best and may try again later.
