I’d never been to a Round theater like this before with the attend stage. The ambiance is fantastic the production value is surprisingly high for such a small space and the staff seem super dedicated to the art. I’ve had very few better theatre experiences.

This theater is such a delightful consistent gem of quality entertainment in the twin cities! Inside it feels intimate like you are part of a group of old friends invited to an evening of fun. Its not stuffy so its a great place to try if you arent sure you are a theater person. The actors are such great talents and you can tell that everyone on and off stage believes in the power and magic of theater to bring people together. I recently was there after nearly 10 years and Im getting a season package! Speaking of season passes I love how they do theres. You can do traditional where you select your dates and seats in advance or puchase a package of coupons at a significant discount to use as you please. That may be going with 5 friends to one show, giving 2 away as gifts or date nights with your someone special. I love this because I have to coordinate babysitting but knowing the show is paid for gives me incentive to schedule date night with my hubs. Check it out at $22 - $25 for regular prices you have nothing to lose and a great night to gain.

Beautiful theater. Weve been to several Sunday Night Magic events there. I also saw the okay Radium Girls there. Its was a sad story but beautifully told. They used simple decor and props to create the atmosphere. I recommend this theater for a great date night. Close to several good restaurants

Probably one of the best, if not the best theatre ticket you can find in Minneapolis. This theatre is not only historic with a great story (they will share with you at the start I youve never been) but also full of character and class! The actors were great and the intimacy of this theatre really takes the production to a different level. This was my first visit...and plan to see more of this place in the future! Bravo. Brava.

The show, Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, was great! Really liked the intimate setting of theater-in-the-round. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning and it got quite hot where we were sitting. You could see others across the theater fanning themselves as well. It would have been nice to have some cool air in the theater. They allow you to bring in bottled water. I would suggest that you do so. Other than that it was a fabulous venue.

A fun little theatre group, went to see Zelda: Hero of the Fringe. Though overall Id say it was over priced. The theatre is kind of falling apart. The show was only an hour long but fun. The leads were phenomenal but the supporting characters not as much. Id probably frequent this place at $8 but not at $14 a ticket.

What a special theatre! There is truly no bad seat and each section offers a different and unique perspective. It was so neat to walk through the set to your seat. There is a real intimate feel to this theatre, everyone is welcoming and it was comfortable in the seats (no issue with A/C). The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance was really well done, such great characters and the plot moved along at a nice pace- one of my favorite plays I’ve ever seen.

The play was great (Agatha Christie), actors were fantastic, fun, well worth the money, view was awesome. I wish the chairs were comfy, it was rough sitting there, always adjusting cause I couldnt get comfy, plus not much in leg room if youre in the 6 foot height range.

Great local theatre. Intimate stage with not a bad seat in the house. They offer a variety of types of plays each season, but have some consistencies from season to season. We have been attending the Jeeves and Agatha Christie adaptations consistently the past few years and have enjoyed them very much. Be sure to take time to admire the floor which is re-painted for every new production.

We have gone to this place for over 30 years, and we have been impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and performers. I love the fact that its run by volunteers that are devoted top their craft! The only thing that I would like to see are larger seats... they are not comfortable for larger/taller people. I had a shoulder surgery, and was quite uncomfortable as the arms of the chair were squishy.

Theatre in the Round offers a unique in-person entertainment experience. The two most recent shows I have seen there were both of a very high quality. The proscenium is round -- it goes around 360 degrees. The theater is accessible, and has good restaurant/bars nearby, and parking is not too difficult. Even the snack bar inside the theater is welcoming and the design of the theater house invites interaction.

We left season Guthrie tickets for the fresh air that Theatre in the Round offered us. Now in our second season as flex pass owners, we need to share our disappointment with WAIT UNTIL DARK. While leaving we overheard Dann explaining the plot sequence to 3 couples. We could easily have been the 4th couple with the confusion we felt at the final lights out. Could representatives from the masses be a part of future play selections? Your repetitive selections from Agatha Christie, Jeeves and especially from Jeffrey Hatcher seem like formula choices. Were hoping for a much better final outcome with the second play-- and the season!?

I have always passed by this theater and never gone in. Today I went in. It is beautiful inside. The seats are around the stage. I was thinking that this could be an inconvenience especially when you are seeing people back it it turned out great. There was no time that I felt that I was watching the actors backs for too long. They were moving most of the time giving the audience a full view of the show. The show tonight was amazing. Murder in the Nile was the name of the show by Agatha Christie.
