Comfortably sized venue with an intimate feel but a big enough crowd to create lots of excitement when applauding. The show, Who Brought the Humbug, was a great mixture of tap dancing and song. The performances were great, and the guests created an intriguing and unique unscripted performance that was delightful. I really appreciated this experience and I looking for additional shows to see here.

Very beautiful venue, well staffed and much more intimate than your typical theater. The chairs are smaller and closer than other theaters. The lobby has a bar and is pretty small. Parking is not easy - come early and plan to spend $15-20. The parking at Embassy Suites hotel is probably your best bet. Overall, a neat experience and worth a visit!

I have only been too a performance here once, but my experience was great. Parking is the usual for downtown events, but super close to rail for a savvy visitor! The reception area is pleasant, contemporary, and lit with the ambiance of the bustling street contrasting the lobby chic. Reception personnel were engaging, hosts were very knowledgeable and helpful. Theater was nice, classic feel, good acoustics, lighting, etc. But fyi-seats are paired, meaning, if you got 3 seats, there would be a gap between 2 of you (out of you are a couple, u may be split--but it seemed everyone was great about shuffling)The performance was phenomenal, but I cant judge to center based on the show other than to presume a center that chooses its events of a certain caliber would be a reflection on the center. The performance was entertaining, beautiful, sad, but most critically it was unique, raw, inspiring, relevant, and poignant. This first impression is a very positive reflection on the arts here.

What a great venue with helpful and friendly staff! There isnt a bad seat in the house--the rows are correctly stacked to make even the vertically challenged right at home. The performance I saw was a Minneapolis Ballet production that included a modern Frankenstein and a stunning classical piece. I hope that the ballet program continues to grow. Beautiful performance. Theres snacks and drinks on premises. Parking can be found in the paid lot across the street for roughly 12 dollars depending on time and show length.

This old theater is a good example of days gone by. The stage looked workable and the acoustics are fine. I was given seats in the balcony. I use a walker and had to be escorted to the elevator in the next building. Doors were unlocked to allow my passage. Discovered that the only way to a rest room or the elevator was locked. Trapped! Marred a great performance of Candide.

Beautiful space, we attended a ballet at this venue. Good visibility, comfortable seats. The only complaint was there were not enough people working concessions for intermission, the line was so long we missed the first few minutes getting back. It was so hot in the venue at the time, waiting to buy the bottle of water was a necessity at intermission.

We saw the Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota performance of Pink Floyds The Wall: A Rock Ballet. It was a sold out performance. My whole family rated 5 stars. For some, it was a first ballet, for all it is definitely not the last.

Very nice venue, right in the middle of everything in Minneapolis. Excellent acoustics and good views from just about anywhere you are seated. A very short 1/2 block walk from the Metro Blue line (Wharehouse District/Hennepin Ave stop) and convenient parking next door or within one block.

Gorgeous facility. The Goodale Theatre within the Cowles Center is beautiful. Not a bad seat in the house. However, if you are bringing a child or teen, the first 2 rows will put their eye level below the stage. This was challenging for watching tap dance performances. The studios adjacent to the Cowles Center (Tek Box, 5B, Target studio) were impressive large spaces. Within feet of both the light rail and bus line. Ample parking ($$$) within easy walking distance. Not an upper echelon neighborhood, and this was NOT an issue.

The cowles center is a wonderful venue for watching dance. The sight lines are great, even in the balcony. I love the mix of modern and classic aesthetics. My only caution is that parking in that area can be a bit difficult, take light rail if you can.
