Ignore all reviews that are over a year old, sadly the junction is an empty shell of what it once was. No food. Terrible beer selection. Poorly made drinks with watered down liquor. No character or decor. It’s good they have good local acts. It’d be nice if the place or owners took some pride in their business, treated and paid their staff well which would show to the customers. Certainly not here with as much interest or frequency as once before.

Pleezer is playing Weezer songs tonight as the first band tonight. I believe theres another 2 or 3 blands playing afterwards. 90s night. We know one of the members and try to see them play when possible.

We LOVE bars that host local musicians and appreciate live music. The Whiskey Junction was a Twin Cities staple for many years and we were sad to see it go. Support local bars that support live bands before they are gone! Keep Minneapolis and St. Paul alive and dont just hand it over to the DJ scene!

Love Whiskey Junction! I have been going here for years. I live in Wisconsin now and still make regular trips out to see the music and have a good time. I have never had a problem with customer service, the staff are always nice and fun! An overall great place to spend a Friday or Saturday night, I will actually be spending this Saturday night at the Junction :) Keep up the good work!

Whiskey Junction is a wonderful bar with some very great music events! I highly suggest this venue/bar for a future outing. Great staff & fantastic live events make this bar one to visit.

Inexpensive drinks good quality food and free music. Lots of room to dance or play pool.Its a lost gem of a bar in the cities.

Amazing food, Especially the dry rub wings! Great bartenders and beer selection! I dont do mix drinks, but Im sure their great... and unbelievably great music most nights! Definetly a wonderful place to be!

My fiancé and I came here on our way to Scooterville. The bartender was great, and they have good chili. Warning: the clientele in the bar were dudes who wore affliction t-shirts, and older, weathered ladies who wear bejewelled bandanas. Not a bad thing, but if your going to be a biker, why not go all out and wear butt-less chaps??

This place is pretty divey but the prices are more consistent with nicer spots in downtown and uptown. They had some decent beers on tap, like Magic Hat and Surly. We went here during a pub crawl for work and most people seemed to have a good time there. Overall, not bad, but I wouldnt make it a destination given the other options within 4-ish miles from here.

Hippies and bad jambands abound. If you are either of those things, youll love it. If, on the other hand, white boy dreads, dirty counters and sloppy guitar noodling isnt your thing, run away. Far, far away.

They have pool tables, darts and live music. Its in the lesbian skanky part of town just down the street from Somali Junction Cedar and Riverside. My cousin was held at gunpoint and robbed near that intersection. So keep on alert, there are a lot of non-conforming immigrants nearby. Theyre not all bad but the bad element exists.

Music and atmosphere was great - and our server was nice as well. When we were waiting for our food we watched someone eating fries at the end of the bar, and then hand those baskets to our server who then brought them too us. We told our server that someone on the other side of the bar was eating our fries and she said sorry let me get my manager.Manager came over and was rude and defensive they have their own food - how do you know they were eating your food and not their own plate of fries which is right to the side? I said even if they were eating food just to the side, they were still eating food directly over ours and then handing that off. I dont want someone eating directly over my food, do you? She said they can eat there if they want too. Nothing productive came of that conversation and we asked for our tab to leave.5 minutes later another employee came over and said we have 28 cameras and they did not eat our food. So you saw them eating fries over our food? But they didnt eat our fries...hmmm Ok - even if that were true, it doesnt change the fact they were eating directly over our food and handing it off - thats not an acceptable practice.The whole situation could have easily been handled better and instead of management being sympathetic and working with us it was nothing but being defensive and basically calling us dumb and telling us we were wrong and couldnt have seen that (even though 2 of us at the table clearly did).Will not be returning. 2 stars only because our actual server was very nice through the situation else this would have been 1 star. Fried food was mediocre at best anyways.

Me and my friend and my brother went down to play Pool. We were disappointed that they have a band there and the cover was 8 dollars for a crappy Stevey Ray Vaughn wanna be band. I decided to say hey screw it pay the cover i dont want to drive half an hour to play pool.Little did i know they raise there drink prices and dont tell you for live event we each had 2 double shots and 2 beers 107 DOLLARS LATER im pissed off.They did not advise there prices are raised for shows. This dive should be turned into a parking lot for the way better bar next store.

Decent burgers and friendly help, but I usually go for the rougher crowd next door at the Joint.

The customer at Whiskey Junction can be compared to the customer service you expect to get from your local Mc Donald’s! Don’t advertise a service if you do not plan on offering that service! And the managers should be trained better on customer service. Hanging up on customers is NERVER acceptable! When a customer calls wanting to express their frustrations re: your bad business decisions and does so in a calm and mature way it’s your job to listen. More than just the kitchen needs to be redone at this place. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!

Whiskey Junction has great shows, but terrible service and food. The drinks are poured irregularly, and its hard to get any service unless you physically go search out one of the waitstaff. Management could really use a refresher course on training and staff expectations. We wont be back unless this place gets completely overhauled.
