A 5-year-old, 34-year-old, and 60-something-year-old all had a great time. The 6-month-old has fun at the grocery store, but also enjoyed the large moving objects at the museum. We had no problem spending our 3 hours on just the first floor and aquarium. The hands-on Power exhibit was really neat, especially because we basically had the place to ourselves. Very clean during Covid restrictions.

Really great place to take kids in the Milwaukee area. Also great for toddlers as theres a lot of hands on exhibits such as a small aquarium with stingray touch and submarine, indoor ship, craft area, and mechanical area with lots of switches and gears for kids to turn. The exhibits are small but high quality.Membership is really reasonable. It includes admission to other science/technology centers around the country and Halloween night at the museum. Located right off the lake with attached parking. Also has a small cafe with food and snacks.

This is a great place for families and children too.We visited last weekend and stayed there for almost 3 hours going through their exhibits one at a time. They have a lot of interactive exhibits so exploring the entire place will take a lot of time. The Reiman Aquarium is a wonderful place which has animal encounters, incredible information about the great lakes and lovely aquatic creatures. They also have ample parking space, reasonable tickets with discounted tickets for seniors, veterans and college students.

I realize that the target audience are parents looking for something to do with their younger children. I also really enjoy the essence of what this museum is trying to be. That being said, many of the hands on, interactive exhibits in the first floor technology area are not fully functional and need maintenance. If the DW management were to fix these exhibits and let me know, Id be happy to return, try these exhibits again, and give 5 stars if they work. For now, and for my money, I would not return nor would I recommend this to others at the $20 price point.

Absolutely an unbelievable experience! I had my wedding here on 6/29/19 and let me start this review by saying that I cannot recommend this place enough! I chose Discovery World Museum as my venue because I really like the way the building looks and the views are easily some of the best in Milwaukee. My point of contact and venue coordinator was Madeline Cope. From my initial email to the last one, she was extremely attentive, gave awesome recommendations and thought of details that both my (now) wife and I didn’t even think about at the time but now realize how impactful it made our wedding. I have seen the wedding planning process done with friends and other family and I was always afraid of having that same stress with my wedding, but with Madeline helping and all the options available through Bartollota Catering, the whole process was unbelievably easy. The food was outstanding – especially the grilled cheese and tomato soup appetizer (GET IT - trust me on this one) and the ravioli and steak meals were probably some of the best dishes we’ve had. Our guests could not stop talking about the food all night! We had our cocktail hour in the aquarium and our main event at the Pilot house. The aquarium was perfect for that portion because it felt intimate and the lighting and tanks were just stunning and a great conversation starter between guests. The pilot house was perfect for the wedding because it has this amazing 360 degree view of the city and lake (and Summerfest) plus the balcony is just an added bonus for guests to walk around, enjoy their drinks and take in the views. The service was that of a 5 star hotel – all of the staff members were super kind, always smiling, sharply dressed and just so pleasant to talk with. Madeline coordinated just about everything once the celebrations started, from us walking out for ceremony, the transition between the ceremony to dinner (another cocktail hour), drinks after dinner and lastly our fireworks. We chose to have our first dance after dinner and wanted to surprise our guests with fireworks during our dance (Discovery World offers that service by the way). She knew how long our song was and coordinated it PERFECTLY with their fireworks crew so that as soon as I dipped my wife at the end of the song, the fireworks launched EXACTLY at that moment. My family, my guests and especially my wife were so amazed at how beautiful this wedding turned out that they kept talking about it all weekend and I’m still getting texts and emails as I’m writing this review! Madeline Cope was perfect, Discovery World was perfect and Bartolotta Catering was perfect. I honestly hope that my sincerest admiration shows in this review.

For our wedding anniversary, my wife and I took advantage of visiting Discovery World for the first time. We were not disappointed. We started out by paying for admission and were given senior discounts. Included in my admission was still another discount - that of being a military veteran. We were then given a few minutes of discussion by the person checking us in (he had the time since nobody was behind us). He explained the many things we could take advantage of at Discovery World. So off we went to the aquarium side and spent a good amount of time on the several floors of displays. Some, were absolutely amazing in size and the variety of fish was incredible. There were exhibits where things like rays or sand dollars (?) could actually be touched by people in their exhibit. We met several people who worked at Discovery World and everyone was friendly and helpful and full of information. Nice! We especially like the huge display of the Great Lakes. In a large room was this display of the five lakes, to scale and with large cities in the appropriate locations. There were numerous animal displays around the larger display. While it was nice to see this large exhibit, one should take advantage of going half way up a staircase and look back down on the display. This will afford you the opportunity to take it all in.
