We brought three grandsons 11 12 and 13 and all really enjoyed this. Did not solve all the clues but did quite a few. There was no social contact until the end and with masks felt very comfortable. Hand sanitizer and spray cleaner was available. This was a very fun hour for all of us.
McSnootys is now one of my top 3 favorite escape rooms in the Milwaukee area! Definitely the largest room Ive ever done, we took 22 people and everyone had something to do. Most of the puzzles here are custom-made large-scale, and surprisingly high-tech; there were only a couple standard find the combo for a padlock puzzles. The story and logic of the room is really well-designed. Difficulty of the puzzles was medium to hard, definitely lots of lateral thinking and out-of-the-box solutions involved -- not a room for 1st-timers in my opinion! But we brought along 4 kids under the age of 10, and they were able to participate in many of the features. Staff super friendly and efficient. Parking on cross streets is free if you can find space. One suggestion I would make to the company: provide more coat trees/hooks, so large groups in winter dont have to pile their coats up on the floor.DO NOTICE: this is a free-standing building on a downtown city street in Milwaukee, and your group will stand on the sidewalk until you receive the doorcode on your phone (unless you want to wait in a bar across the street - not a great option if youre bringing kids). This means (1) dress warmly in winter, and (2) be prepared for panhandlers to corner you for change.
We were a group of 13, ages 18-58! We all had such an amazing time!! The puzzles were challenging, so when one got solved, it was very gratifying. You and your group have the whole place to yourself. Making the reservation and entrance instructions were all very clear and organized. We will definitely be trying one of the other Save Milwaukee escape rooms!! Mcsnootys exceeded all our expectations! Enjoy!!
We had the best time. We had a group of 8 and finished in 50 minutes. What we like about this company is that all of can work independent and yet we all worked together.
I believe McSnootys would have been fine for adults but it seemed to be a bit challenging for younger teens. Maybe posting on your different rooms what the recommended age is so we can choose appropriately for kids or make a suggestion that an adult or two should be present to assist the kids with a bit of direction. Even though they did not complete the mission, it did appear as though they had some fun.
This brilliantly crafted escape room really put my group to the test! The experience was heightened by the authenticity and originality of the various clues and riddles that comprised the room. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in doing an escape room, this is one that definitely lives up to the hype!
We took our graduating high school seniors (with Young Life Wauwatosa) and had an absolute blast! Because the room is able to hold a larger group, it worked perfect for us!
On Monday, January 15, the FITWIGS Writers Group (Im a member in okay standing) had the pleasure of a jaunt to Caspian P. McSnooty’s Gallery of Fine Art on Brady Street. We stepped into this escape room with no idea of what we were in for! The “gallery of fine arts”, actually filled with interesting original art pieces, had become a front for thieves ready to steal identities. The brilliant writers in my group became a team of agents in quest of evidence to nail the thieves. The electronic gadgets and their sometimes elusive clues required clever detective work—and finally (in our case) an intervention to help out… but as the clock ticked away the hour, we drew very close to solving the mystery. Not to give too much away, I am sure there are better detectives than we were, who will triumph in figuring this all out before the time is up. Go try it! It’s an original team-building experience, a trendy diversion to discuss afterward at one of the many great Brady Street eateries (or drinkeries) nearby; one way or another, you will leave in better shape than when you entered!
