Amazing gem right in the heart of Milwaukee! Excited to know that Dr. Camerons vision will continue in such a nice, new space. Griot Reggie Jackson was extremely knowledgeable and helped the history to come alive. He made it relatable and demonstrated the need for the continuation of oral and written traditions being passed down. So glad we were able to visit. Looking forward to returning when additional exhibits will be installed.

The Museum Is Under Construction and Will Be Open To The Public In The Fall. However, what is standing of the building is beautiful. I had the opportunity to participate in the official grand opening that took place this summer.Donald Glover, Congress Woman Gwen Moore, and the Woman behind it all Ms. Melissa graced the stage during the opening.

So excited to see the preview. The layers of ancient through contemporary history provide a rich layering, fodder for interconnected learning, reflection, and future action. Cant wait until the Grand Opening.
