Had a wonderful time, was a bit surprised that even beer cost $10 each. I knew it would b higher priced at a concert, but do feel thats overly so. Beyond that had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well as being efficient. Would definitely recommend the venue, just be prepared for high priced drinks if ya go.

This is my all time favorite venue!!! I have enjoyed multiple shows on 2 of the stages here. Both were perfectly intimate settings, where you can find a great view to really feel involvement in the performance. Prices are very reasonable for shows, drinks, and merch as compared with other places I have experienced. Best of all the location is near a great little diner across the street so you can soak up all those drinks you had, and fall into bed at 1 of the 2 hotels within a minute or 2 walking distance. Or keep the party going and stop at the convenience store kiddie corner! Everything you could need is all right within walking distance.

There is a fenced in outdoor area where various food vendors, beer and drinks are. Inside there is NO AIR Conditioning so dress comfortable. Downstairs by the band is just a large hall/ballroom there are no seats you will be standing. There is a bar and 2 visible bathroom locations. There is a upstairs bar and outdoor patio. Upper area has VIP Seating that cost more to sit in. Atmosphere is clean and the Vibes were great. If you like to go to concerts the Rave is a place you might like to go.

Awesome historic venue in downtown Milwaukee! Rock concert sounded great, and the view was good from most spots. Would be 5 stars if they took credit/debit at the bars. Its 2020... No signs telling you cash only, then youre stuck using the atms that charge a $5 fee.

I had bought tickets to a concert a few months ago. The concert was first postponed, then a few days before the concert was supposed to take place it was cancelled. The email stated I should be expecting a refund (over $200) its been a month. I have not received my refund and all attempts to find out when will I be receiving my refund have gone unanswered. Email and by telephone. Be careful buying tickets to any shows here, Im angry and disappointed I didnt get to see Youngboy AND I never received a refund or at least a courtesy of a return phone call or email.

Went here gor the Mama Tried motorcycle show on a snowy Sunday in February. Pretty easy to get to, just a little ways off the freeway. Extremely cool venue. The bikes were all upstairs in the Ballroom. Not sure of the history of the building itself, but the photos on the walls dictate almost every popular music act has been thru here. I parked about a block away on the street, but there is a parking garage just down from the Rave. I will definitely be back next year for this show and to hopefully explore The Rave a bit more.

So much fun here. I love this venue. They have some great bands play. Last night it was Sevendust and In This Moment. Tech N9ne was also there, but on a different floor. So great variety. I like that they allow for a large crowd, but not too big to get overwhelmed. The only issue I have is the price of drinks. It shouldnt cost 30 bucks for 2 beers and a rum and coke.

One of the best 80s tribute bands from Chicago Sixteen Candles have had a better stage I dont understand why they got the smallest one when people love to dance and have some room. It was very claustrophobic and we all felt like passing out. I really enjoy all the bands you bring in but I really wish that the drinks were more affordable and someone told me that they paid $4 for a cup of water which I think is ridiculous and it wasnt even bottled water.

I have been to the Eagles Club twice. Once to see Gary Allen and recently to see Alter Bridge. The ballroom is a good size for decent sized crowds. The floor space is all standing room which can get tiring after a while. Then they have the balcony lining the wall which costs extra but has seats. The ballroom can be echoey at times. The side stage is a similar set up but the balcony seating is on the sides of the stage. Drinks are very expensive. My buddy paid $9.50 for a tall beer. I saw Alter Bridge on the side stage which was a great show but insanely loud. The staff need to monitor the sound levels because Im pretty sure they were over legal limit. Promoters do a great job to host a lot of different types of music here.

For the actual Rave and Eagles Ballroom, there are balcony options for both. You can always seem to find a good view in alot of places in The Rave. Been here a couple times. Last visit saw Bob Dylan and had reserved floor seats for the first time. Great venue to see a show - probably one of Bobs best shows Ive seen in +15 years - but this was the most disorganized event I have ever been to. Took 45 min to be seated (good thing its an open venue and can see the stage while waiting). No one to direct people. Got to the ballroom and stood in a line for floor seats. When we got to the usher we were told we needed to walk to a line on the other side of the ballroom. Finally seated about 3 songs into the set. People werent allowed to stand during show, ushers ordered them to sit. I will go back for shows but wont drop the extra money for reserved seats.

The concerts here are decent. However, the venue is showing its age and it is not a good thing. Throughout the building it is very poorly lit, with the bathroom being so dark I had to use my phone flashlight to even see inside the stall. Ventilation in the main room isnt great and it can get pretty hot. Mixing of the audio could be better as it is a little bass heavy and it seems that they believe more volume=better sound, which really isnt the case. Overall, decent place to attend concerts but there is a lot of stuff that could be better.

Let me clear in saying, this is an exceptional venue. The history and experience of the building in which The Rave operates is not to be missed; a true Milwaukee landmark. Conversely, the management of said venue has made concert-going more of a chore than an event to look forward to. The staff is consistently unpleasant, their drinks are wildly overpriced and the sound (in the Ballroom) is alright at best. The poor ventilation (which may be out of their control as it is a historic building) makes every oversold show unnecessarily hot and foul. While I will do anything to see acts like Jack White and Marilyn Manson - two staples they’ve taken great care of - I will avoid shows here at all costs otherwise. As an avid live music enthusiast, I genuinely hope they are able to adjust their strategy in the future for a more pleasant concert going experience.

Beware of the cash only scam. If you want a water or drink at the bar you need cash. The bartenders directed me to the ATM with the $5 fee and $80 maximum withdrawal. Heading to a show I do not bring a wad of cash because that’s foolish when you are in a tight crowd and mosh pits. Also, seemingly everyone accepts credit card. The merch area even accepts credit cards. From now on I will check websites to see if credit cards are accepted. However, to not have a way for people without cash or a debit card to get water at a rock show is a scam and accident waiting to happen.

Enjoyed the recent Bob Dylan concert there. All the previous concerts I went to were hosted in arena/stadium kind of settings. This was my time in a hall room setting. So, it was a new experience for me.The security checking was the least efficient ever! They didn’t check me and my husband at all. Saw many other people just passing through without any security checking. They didn’t check everyone. There was no metal detection at the entrance door. In that case, this personal checking by the security personnel should have been much more rigorous.

A historic building that hosts concerts and events. We went to the upper floor. The show was definitely fun and there was seating area on the balconies but not in front of the stage. People stand and watch the show which could be good and bad depending on what you expect. There are couple of bars that serve popular beers in Wisconsin. Its cash only. There are ATMs but they charge 5$ to withdraw money. So I recommend to bring some cash with you. The sound and lighting quality is not as good as newers concert halls like Fiserv Forum but it was totally acceptable. It was more about the vibe and energy from the crowd that made it a good night.

We drove to Milwaukee to see Motionless In White do their Trick or Treat show. Venue was all decorated for Halloween which was awesome. We got lost since venue is so large (we were not the only ones) and ended up in the ballroom (impressive) instead of The Rave so slightly better directing of people would of been nice but we eventually found it. Where we were located the sound was great during the show. The security staff at our show were phenomenal. They would signal if you had a crowd surfer coming behind you so you could actually enjoy the show instead of constantly looking over your shoulder. At literally 3:01 AM on New Year’s, Eagle’s Club bartenders refused to give me water, after I spent hours dancing in their building. The building has poor ventilation and gets very hot in crowded areas, so it’s easy to get dehydrated. Ok where do I start... it was so many negative things going on in here... 1st off this place is trapped in the 1960xx. I been to a few concert there, and over the past years they haven’t tried to upgrade anything except the prices. The bathrooms are a joke and disgusting, the toilets are so cheap, they get clogged super easily!!The drinks are wayyyyyy over priced and they charge $4.50 for water!!! They’re so money hungry that, you can’t even order tap water. Which could be a potential hazard to someone. What if someone overheated or got dehydrated, because it’s no good air circulation in the place, and they don’t have $4.50 in CASH because the bar doesn’t accept debit cards..The sound sucked, if you’re in the far back because you don’t wanna die of a heatstroke at the front of the stage you can’t hear or see anything.. why haven’t they added projector screens on each side or something to help see the stage better, they need more speakers or something...!!!THEY NEED TO UPGRADE THIS PLACE!!!

While the atmosphere and the look of the place are great (loved the Halloween decor), and theres not a bad seat in the house, the staffing of the event and the way things were run ended up spoiling significant parts of the show.I was there to see Bob Dylan last week, and they only had two entrances to the main floor seating area. They also insisted on seating everyone one by one (or as groups if you were with friends). This took FOREVER. Im sure there were plenty of folks who thought they could grab a quick drink before heading to their seats, as it usually does not take 20 minutes to walk 50 yards. But the lines were so backed up that people couldnt get to their seats before the show started. I was in the second row and I had to endure ushers and those they were ushering in my line of site, walking back and forth and causing distractions while giving directions. If Im going to pay over $100 for a seat, I shouldnt have to deal with this. Very poor logistics.

Sound always has been terrible at the Rave and last night was no exception. Ruined what would have been a great show. We might have had the best seats in the place with front row dead center balcony and still were disappointed. NO AIR CONDITIONING and only a few fans to circulate a bit of air. Miserably hot. Oh yeah, and a can of Bud Light costs $9.50. No Miller products available and this is Milwaukee! I cannot overstate how terrible the Rave ballroom is for a show. The smaller stages are not as bad for sound but all of the other issues apply.

I was excited about going to see the Racounters and from the minute I walked in the building it just never got to be a good experience. I showed my phone and the tickets were scanned. I asked about how I would show I was in the VIP area but was herded to the next area where my phone was placed in a lock bag and my question was ignored. I understand about locking up the phone due to the request of the entertainer and I totally agree. I should have gone old school and printed out my tickets, but I didnt think this would ignored. We walked up the several fights of stairs to only be turned around and told that we had to go back down the several flights of stairs to get a sticker. Once I made it back up all of the very limited seats were taken. I was there well ahead of time just for this reason. The sound was horrible and there was no moving air. Yes they had fans but many of the fans were not turned on. I ended up standing in front of a window looking out at the city and listening to the music so that I could get air and not pass our from the overbearing heat. Like the other people have written bring cash and expect to pay $4 for a bottle of water just so you dont pass out.
