The Miller High Life Theatre is always a comfortable, classy venue. Ive been to multiple performances here and they bring in #ome great shows. This time around, it was Shark Tanks Kevin OLeary who came to town. He spoke about leadership, entrepreneurship, finances, and also shared his personal story, which was very inspiring. I would be glad to come back for another event!
Concert we attended was pretty good.Drink prices were at its original rates. What was really appreciated, was when we entered the front door of the theater we noticed they finally had metal detectors in motion. This secured the night with a little more enjoyment to know weapons would not be a factoring downfall for this old school 90s event. This made the night a bit more secure. Thanks for thinking of everyones safety.
First time being here, I have always walked past this building going to the Panther Arena for Admirals games. Very large venue with plenty of seats, was a little confusing on where my seats were but there was plenty of ushers to guide you. The staff were extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your visit. The one complaint that I have, and the reason why I gave it a 4 stars rating, is the price to quantity of the adult beverages. I paid $9 for 8 ounces at best of a rum and coke.
Had a good time @ DanceFest. However if you attend this event in the future, be prepared to bring your own food/snacks for the day. No healthy options were available. This was rather disappointing, we had to walk and find a restaurant and convenience store to buy food from. Being an all weekend event it would be assumed they would offer more for a food selection besides popcorn and candy. Also very high priced for the unhealthy snacks. Lastly, the admission is also Cash only for your wristband for the DanceFest event. Hope this is helpful!
The theater itself is nice enough although a few more strategically placed bathrooms might be useful. But we saw Elvis Costello there and apart from his off key and out of time singing, the sound was horrible. I dont know whether to blame this on the theater sound system or the guy manning the mixer. If you love to hear the bass drum thumping above everything else, this is the place for you!
It was very organized they were not ready for the event that they were putting on so as a result a lot of people were left waiting long periods of time.
My friend and I, Music Clark, went to the Miller High Life theater in Milwaukee to watch Mott the Hoople 74. The theatre was beautiful well laid out and carpeted with plenty of helpful Ushers. To that point theres an issue that thats the how far we needed to go and he also gave us a review of the band that was playing that night. The band was Mott the Hoople 74 the last version of Mott the Hoople and they havent played for 45 years. The Usher said he saw the warm-ups and said youre going to like it. You he was right vMott the Hoople 74 play for nearly two hours. Mott the Hoople 74 consisted of a bass player, two keyboardist, a drummer, and three guitars not counting when vocalist Ian Hunter played guitar giving them four guitarists. The band was also supplemented by a three-piece brass section and a three person group of backup singers. 4 bands that are not played the other for 45 years they sounded tight. I would say that Mott the Hoople 74 sounded even better than they did 45 years ago. This band didnt have much of a chance back-in-the-day due to the Columbia Records mismanagement. This version of magical last part of your a little less and put I want cereal and one to record live album. Its good its not Hoople 74 sounded Id love to see them put out a new record. At the very least a concert DVD CD but at the best a new studio album. Its really great for a band Led by Ian Hunter who is a young 79. And listening to him you would never know that this man is nearly 80 years old. Long Live Ian Hunter Long Live Mott the Hoople
Awesome place... Didnt know it was there until tonight. Beautiful place... Lots to drink!
Excellent venue for a concert. We got good seats for a great price. Saw Dream Theater at the end of March. Parked one block west and was able to leave like there wasnt an event in the area due to the smaller capacity. Easy place to get in and out of quickly. Would definitely come here again.
Venue was good services were good bathrooms were clean and and large enough to host without much backup. However all their candy bars were expired after buying one and returning it a staff member checked her stock and it was all the same. This is pretty disappointing and potentially dangerous.
I performed the national anthem with my instructors and son at the MATC graduation. What fun! What a beautiful venue!
Theatre is nice! Ive been here twice, sound system needs improvement tho! Still I had a great time with my sisters!!
This place is really shaping up. Noticed alot of great food. Go Admirals
Place was very elegant. Just being in the theater was an experience. Auditorium had no obstructive views, and the acoustics were great.
Absolutely gorgeous theater the staff are spectacular. Saw Weird Al there, and of course he was amazing as always. I hope he comes back here on his next tour because I would love to come back to this theater it was just such a great experience.
I absolutely love visiting this theater. Its an old building so it feels like youre taking a trip back in time. Plenty of seating and walking space. The lobby is beautifully decorated with shiny chandeliers and tall drapes. This theater has a diverse entertainment line up and their staff is exceptionally attentive. I will definitely be visiting here again.
I love this place. Great venue, they book great shows and talent. They make great mixers reasonably priced.
I recently saw Shen Yun there because the advertising was great. I paid almost $160 for an orchestra seat and expected to be comfortable. Wow! It was like an airplane in second class. Packed like sardines. I might have enjoyed the concert more had I been more comfortable. Really! I kept bumping my knees with the seat in front of me. Shen Yuns products are also overly priced .
Everyone was very accommodating as I was with a concert goer in a wheelchair. Intimate performance setting.
This is where I celebrated the best day of my life my graduation! Great location.
Beautiful theater. Not a bad seat in the house. My biggest critique is that the bar lines were incredibly slow. Waited about 20 minutes for a beer. The seats are also pretty close together so its a little tight.
It is great to see how this classic venue has been refurbished and given a touch of its original class.
Class of 2019 awesome theatre no outside food or drink FYI the search your purses girls
Awesome graduation last night for those who put in the hard work, young and not so young and for family and friends to be there to help celebrate their dreams!! Very diverse audience just a great night. So very Proud of my Beautiful granddaughter Alexus Staples!!! Im Proud of them all!!
Great 90s concert but there was some sound issues but overall a good night out!
First time in this part of the building. What a great event. A friends son was performing and we all turned out to support the cause. Everyone was having a great time and the performers really went all out. Free yer mind!
Nice comfortable seats, clean bathrooms. The stage may not be quite as visible if you are sitting up high but the screens on either side of the stage make the action visible from any distance. Located right next to the new Bucks arena of youre into basketball.
The Miller High Life Theater will always have a special place in our hearts. The staff was very accommodating and allowed our group to take over the facility for a few days to have a private ceremony which went off flawlessly.
Great Theater! There was a dance competition there and it was a great venue for the kids to enjoy the feel of a real stage! Ive seen numerous shows there and always felt the views were very good!
More room, more space than the Riverside Theater.
It is really a nice venue. I dont go to concerts there very often. We listen to The Beatles versus the Stones. There are really very good musicians. It was a lot of fun.
Its a smaller venue. They had the mezzanine and balcony closed for our event, forcing 1100 people to fit in a theater that seats 1300. The theater seating is not great...the seats are very close together and narrow. I hate having people pressed in around me & even though I work with these folks (others attending same event), I DO NOT WANT 2peoples thighs pressing on mine for the entire program. Thats offensive and uncomfortable. They had coffee, water, & breakfast items (donuts, cookies, fruit) available for the AM session of our all-day event. But there was no caffeine available for the PM session after lunch when we needed it to stay awake. There are no vendors open to sell soda or coffee ( that I saw) & no vending machines for same. My employer used this venue last year, so I was forewarned and this year, I brought my own beverages, snacks, and a water bottle.
Staff here is EXCELLENT! Professional, helpful, kind, courteous. Facility very wheelchair accessible. Would have been 5 stars except for problems leaving. No one policing the front of the building, so there were groups of people blocking the entrance to the driveway cutout and scattered throughout the halfmoon cutout area. My wheelchair had to be brought out to the busy street for pickup because my driver couldnt safely drive up to the doors and pick me up
I havent been here in over 20 years and was quite surprised with how beautiful and comfortable its become. Fantastic place to hear live music. Glad to see its back and restored.
Beautiful facility! Shen Yun was beautiful!
Great venue. We saw Weird Al there in his Strings Attached tour. Actually has good acoustics.
Awesome! Ive been here before but this time we did the Cinderella dinner. Everything was great! They had a princess come out and greet everyone. The food was good and it was a self serve buffet but the room attendants and bussers were all really great. I hope we can do it again next time.
Gorgeous venue! Staff was kind and helpful!
Saw a great show here with my girlfriends. The only downside was the bar lines. I recommend going elsewhere for drinks before a performance. We waited over 30 minutes. Overall, everyone enjoyed the experience.
Very nice, but wish there were more food options
One of the nicest one I have been in.
Very nice facility, seats are comfortable and size of theater makes for an intimate experience. Beer lines are numerous so short waits and beverages are allowed in the theater. Overall impressive venue.
Purchased tickets to blues show. Service was great.
My niece graduated from Milwaukee School of Arts and the entire staff was helpful in directing where we needed to be. Acoustics in building were really good. The seating was plentiful and there did not seen to be any obstructions. The only complaint was the restrooms were on the far opposite side of building than where we were seated. While the restrooms were clean and spacious, could use a second set of restrooms on other side of building as well.
Great place, atmosphere and commodity. Now my negative stems from watching concerts there. Why would people spend money on seats if they are going to stand through the whole show? I was in the Mezzini section and I could barely see because everyone in the floor section stood up, which made me stand up also. They should implement the same rules as Riverside, everyone should remain seated. Experience would be 10/10 if this happened.
The Weird Al concert here was spectacular! The seating was very comfy! Great experience!
I was there for a childrens show. Great venue. Meets a need in Milwaukee. Interestingly, the farther north you park, the cheaper the parking. Right next to the theater, parking for the event was going for $25, half a block further it was $20, a block away at $10 and two blocks north at $5. Other than street meter parking, walk a few steps for a better rate.
Views are good but seats way small, crowded. Plus held shining spotlights into eyes of crowd, almost blinding us for 1/2 hour before show started. Developed floaters and migraine and although 3-4 ushers tried to help, it didnt stop. I understand scanning audience, but this constant blinding spotlight was uncalled for!!
Our urban meeting spot for great entertainment
Really nice theater, clean restrooms, very friendly staff. Seats are from years gone by then everyone was smaller. Seating is pretty tight if you have a larger person next to you. Had to lean over the whole concert.
Beautiful Casino we ate at the buffet the food was very good. Parking lot was spacious and well-lit.
Top notch venue. Great hosts. The flow was organized. Seating was wonderful.
The box office and staff were friendly and helpful.
I lose all my money but it helps me relax I just laugh I know Im crazy
Great place to watch any event...
Well organized event. Took the grandkids ages 4,3,2 to see the stage play Paw Patrol. They loved it! This was a great venue to have it in, not a bad seat in the house.
They could update the sound system. Other than that I like it. Very clean and friendly staff
The concert I went to was great, and they nailed it acoustically. But like most venues, the bathroom lines were a mile long, the lines for a drink were a mile long, they seemed understaffed for the event I attended.
Nice theater, friendly personnel working there. However, we were in the 3rd balcony, seats are very close together. My mom had a larger person next to her who apologetically encroached upon her space throughout the event. I am 56 130lbs and I felt like I had to cross my arms to avoid rubbing up against the person to my left. Not sure if you are allotted more space down below? Would think twice about attending another event there.
Had a very good experience, staff is so nice and helpful
Pleasantly surprised. I live in a suburb of Chicago and the commute to this theater beats the commute to downtown Chicago. Will go back for sure. Plus Mariah was great!
Such a beautiful theater and it had a great time seeing my nephew Jack Kaufman get commissioned by the Salvation Army and become a pastor
Concert was great. Vendors were awesome.
Great event venue with comfy seats and excellent sound system!I wish more acts I want to see were booked here versus other venues in Milwaukee.
Definitely a place to go visit.
I came to the Miller High Life Theater to see a performance of Chen Yen, which was spectacular! The theater was easy to find and there was plenty of parking and restaurants in the area. The staff in the theater was friendly and very accommodating. The only drawback was that there wasnt much of a selection for food, but that would not keep me from seeing another performance here.
Beautiful setting, worth the drive!
We were seated in Orchestra 3 row E seats 3&4. There was plenty of knee room and there were cupholders. It was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The carpet was regal.
A wonderfully restored theater that has hosted an annual event for us for the past 5 years. Anything that is done here will appear more upscale than if it was hosted at another location.Comfortable seats, great view of the stage. Large screens, bright lights. It has it all.Just beware of the Union for food service, although they have become more flexible in the past year. Hopefully that continues.
Awesome experience at a beautiful venue! Spacious lobby and good acoustics! Definitely would come back!
Waited in line for 35 mins for a drink on upper level due to only one bar tender. Bad planning & unorganized. Balcony seats are extremely close together & temperature was very hot. However, ushers were very helpful & friendly & bar tenders (although some not trained well) were kind & personable.
Saw Weird Al here, show was fantastic, acoustics were great, even up in the balcony
Weird al was the best I saw him there it was awsome
Small theater but had a great time
I was here for a party, and the building was nice and easy to find. Definitely a beautiful venue.
Had a wonderful time here..Ive been here a few times for concerts and comedy shows and glad when its at this venue..
Seats are very close together. Building is really neat. Good view from multiple areas. Lots of places to order souvineers and drinks. Clean restrooms. We went to see spamalot. Program was well done. Location is very convenient to food and other fun places to walk to in Milwaukee. The carpet and ceilings are very patterned and elaborate.
Dont let the make up fool you!!!! Was very powerful thank you to those who prayed for me im thinking about joining thw church!
Neat old theater. Was there for a graduation and the sound system and lighting did the grads justice
Nice show. It would be even better if they would do some upgrades.
Beautiful place for entertainment use to work there
I enjoyed the show very much
