Place is in a kinda hidden location. Quiet but can’t ask for better atmosphere. New seats comfortable. Will be back while I am here for work.
We went here on a Saturday around 2:45 and it was very chilled, not a lot of people! It was our first time coming here! I didnt quite like the seats as they dont lean back like the ones in Cinergy! My 3 year old couldnt sit on it comfortably without him falling in it due to the chair folding in so I had to hold the seat with my hand the entire time until he just eventually sat on my lap! I really liked how loud the movie sounded and how clean the restrooms were! Would come back but not with toddlers!
Facilities are great, always missing something when going for food otherwise 5 stars for sure
Bryce and the other lady at the concession stand felt the need to yell over three other customers to inform me about regal policy it was very embarrassing and unprofessional I will no longer visit this location. Cinergy is my family movie theater now I dont mind paying a little extra for great services and great staff.
Great place to take the family.lets pray these places stay open.
Still a great place to go to. Prices were a little high paid around $30 for 2 tickets but was worth it. Bought some snacks and it was great too.
The theater is a sad shell of what it used to be. It is run down. Only reason I even go is to see the few exclusive shows that they partner with fathom events for. Example tonight we went for a showing and the carpet is rolly in the main lobby, the bathroom half of the toilets were out of order and the stalls were so misaligned that the seat of the toilet touched the stall wall, the stairs to the seats had a rubber guard on the edge that was falling off on almost every step (I actually tripped on one) and Ive was missing and replaced with neon pink duck tape. I remember this theater from my childhood being the cool place to go, now unfortunately Id rather go anywhere else including the theaters in Odessa before going here.
“IMAX” label so they can charge more without any positive added experience or value.Saw IT Ch 2 several weeks ago. Paid $14 in the middle of the day. Screen was no bigger than any other standard screen. Speakers were insanely TOO loud. Nearly ruined my experience. On top of that, the seats are now dated for the price, as they are just the normal theater chairs and all the nicest ones now have the huge recliners.I’d go elsewhere for a good movie experience unless they can remedy the sound issue and lower the price.
They *refused* to issue a refund!!!I was in theatre 11. They played extremely loud and irritating TV-grade commercials prior to the showing. The trailers were also extremely loud to the point of pain. More commercials after the trailers. I complained to the theatre staff and they said it’s a known problem, claiming the movie would be normal volume. This proved to be untrue—the movie itself was *way too loud*. So loud that the white noise of the sound system is loud too. They played an excessive number of movie trailers—showing scheduled for 2:45 didn’t start until 3:12, a full 27 minutes of ads. One minute into the actual showing, I ended up demanding a refund, which is nothing compared to my time and the fact that I went here for my kid’s first theatre experience. I walked to the concessions area, waited in line, and asked for the refund. They radioed for a manager, who came to take my receipt for processing. They came back refusing a refund, on the grounds that it was 30 minutes after showtime. I pointed out they had 27 minutes of previews—they responded with “that’s the policy.” They offered free passes instead, which I declined—why would I accept passes to a theatre that literally inflicts pain on me?Based on my experience and on other reviews, I think there could be serious concerns about the business practices of this theatre.Other notes: No kiosks to purchase tickets—have to wait in the concessions line to purchase tickets, which took a long time.
Best movie theater, reclining chairs, food taken to your seat. Love this place
Always pretty clean. Video games are pretty standard. Good selection of food other than candy. Very comfortable seating
It was nice & not crowded when the night I went. The seats are surprisingly comfortable.
I love the special effects and sound, this makes coming to the movies so much better and Regal Tall City has provided this and more and seating is so comfortable
Well priced movie theater. I really appreciated the cleanliness throughout the building.
Its that hometown movie theater you grow up going to. Its hard to beat unlimited movie pass you can buy assuming youre an avid movie goer but just like any movie theater be sure to eat first because the food and drink prices are high.
Dated decor, but quality theaters. No problems with picture definition or sound. They had all the newest flicks showing, and regal had been aroubd forever. Quality place. Just smells like an older movie theater.
The movie screen is perfect but it’s a little over priced. We paid 31.00 for two movie tickets. And my friends went to another theater and paid way less. And they had better seating.
Always clean, good service movie passes are great seen more movies in 2 months than the last 3 years
Regal Tall City theatre keeps up with Cinergy in its own right. It is the original theatre in town and continues to get updated throughout time. Shows all the great new movies and has a good selection at the snack bar.
Good seats just walls are thin could hear in hall
Nice theater, seats are too dark to see the seat number without turning on your flash or carry a flashlight when you go
They need more employees, and the ones they have were rude to the people in front of me in line at concessions. Usually I prefer regal, because its less crowded and closer to my house.
The screens are sufficiently complex in many levels. Enough as, you will have no troubles in watching. The volume levels are quite high, so if your ears are sensitive, well... yeah... But overall, it is very good.
I went to watch Avengers Endgame . We sat in the designated theater for almost 20 minutes with a blank screen until I went to the counter and informed an employee that the movie wasnt playing. After ensuring I was in the right theater, I was then told Well take care of it. We waited about another 20 minutes until commercials started to play, so we think Ok, they finally got the movie going.. After sitting through another 20 minutes of commercials, Detective Pikachu starting playing. I then made my way back to the counter and asked for my tickets to be exchanged for the next showing since weve now been waiting for an hour to see the movie we paid for. I was told to go to the box to get them traded. Once I arrived to the box (And a manager was called) I was informed that because the next showing was in IMAX, I would have to pay an additional $10 to be able to change my tickets. Due to the next non IMAX showing being 3 hours away, I had no choice but to pay the extra $10 to not ruin the chance to finally see Avengers. While waiting about 30 minutes for the next showing, we decided to make our way up to the Arcade area. I got about $15 worth of tokens and every single game we tried to play was broken to the point that it made them unplayable, the gun games tracking were way off to the point that youd shoot the other side of the screen, the token slots where jammed so you couldnt play with two people and the racing games seats where broken so you couldnt adjust them to the right position. We finally gave up and gave the rest of the tokens to another movie goer that was playing the air hockey table. The entire experience was horrible and I will never return to this Regal theater.
The front cashier was rude. She didnt even look at me. The mens restroom was dirty also. Lastly, my seat in theater was wet for some reason.
This theater is in need of bettermanagement and a thorough cleaning. the restrooms are filthyand not properly stocked or maintained. only wonder what theconcession stand is like behind the scenes.....the staff especially the ticket takers and front are great
I used to work here and i always loved to go to the theater on my freetime
The theater itself was pretty clean but the bathrooms were so dirty. They were also out of a lot of things at the concession stand. The sound and quality of the movie was great though.
Nasty place. ! Still don’t know how people go there ! Went there once to see Star Wars and I felt like I was in Bangladesh
Loved it! Wednesday Matinee, not crowded, very clean.
Friendly staff. Helpful n nice
Stop selling tickets to your IMAX theater when it has no air conditioning. Its Texas in April, and your employees know about it as they were talking ahead of time and when I asked whether it would be hot they said it was fine. Management is obviously fueled by greed. Everyone walked out sweating and no discount offered. Awful experience.
Service was fast and professionals had a good time.
Clean place, Good prices compare to other movie theaters and one of the employee name Jake was very helpful with my tickets I got tickets to close to the screen and he helped out really quick to change the seats.. Do thank you to Jake for the awesome assistance.
I love everything about Regal - except the bathrooms are in dire need of renovation. Otherwise, the theater is always clean and I like the choosing your seat option that was added a while back.
Low energy, seems empty every time Ive been there.
We saw Captain Marvel. It was a great movie. We enjoyed our experience here, however, the seats arent that comfortable. Pricing is cheaper than other theaters, so its a good choice for people on a tight budget. Check-in is slow. The line for concessions was slow as well.
Clean, basic, well staffed theater. If you work in the oil field and get rained out, or actually have a day off, and want to see a movie. This is a pretty good place to see a movie. There were no children running around acting ignorant and unsupervised. Im guessing that most are at a theater with games etc. There were 5 manned registers and about 12 total people in line. So no 20 min wait to order a drink. The seats were basic but not worn out or uncomfortable. I was able to get in, get some snacks, and watch a movie in peace and relative comfort. No frills but not a waste of time either.
I been twice but I liked how they keep it clean !
Very nice theater but I do not like having assigned seats to see a movie.
Compared to the Odessa one off the 191 seats are VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, SPOILED AND PAMPERED OVER HERE food gets delivered to you in the seats
Went to latest showing of Avengers End Game.. It twas nice theatre, comfortable seats plenty of space as I was the only oerson in the theatre. All in all good experience.
Seats are hard as a rock! Super close to the other people... to where you can’t even swing your chair without hitting the other persons feet...Never again.
Great place to see a movie and staff are great
Need to remodel. Prices to high. Only went cause had free tickets. Not my choice of a movie theater
If your going to regal to just see a movie..this is the place!! Not super crowded easy to get around and bathrooms are clean
Really upset that you’ve taken away kiosks and the ticket booths to make people wait through a long line at the concessions. Tried a few times and lines are too long.
We waited 15 minutes for tickets on a Sunday afternoon. Then we waited another 15 minutes in line at the concession. After paying $38 for two movie tickets, and $22 for popcorn and a coke, we waited another 10 minutes for the popcorn after a 15 minute line. Our assigned seats were in between two other guests, despite multiple empty seats on both sides of those guests. We sat right next to a lady that screamed and shouted the entire movie, and took the entire arm rest so we couldnt even sit comfortably. Assigned seats are absurd. The prices are absurd. I will drive half an hour to Odessa to watch another movie. This was the worst movie experience I have had in my life. Not worth $10, much less $50.
I have to honestly say this is one of the worse theaters I have been too. I have been complaining about a leak in the men’s bathroom for over a month and it seems zero of the employees or perhaps the manager just doesn’t care. It just drips until someone complains and they mop it up. The theater is getting dated with both the screens and seats. A remodel I Hope is in order here.
Definitely a family favorite. Hands down the best app for a movie theater with the most rewards.
It was really for the kids I dont watch films really. But it was great to see them enjoy themselves! Thanks Regal Cinemas!
My own getaway spot! Nice, clean and peaceful. Staff super friendly and helpful, and love the popcorn!
It was and ok place .. they need to give it a good cleaning though.. seats need to be updated..
Best movie theatre in Midland-Odessa. I always make the drive to midland from Odessa. It’s worth it.
Great seats! John wick is worth watching lots of double action and more fighting, Keanu Reaves still gots his talent in this movie!
No game area or selections big enough to call a game area.
The theater was cleaner than my last visit. The theater needs to invest in more games for customers waiting between movies. The bathrooms were clean and the best part is the price of the tickets.
I decided to take myself to the movies for my birthday and had a delightful time! I got a free bag of popcorn . . . and seeing Mary Poppins Returns made me feel young again!
Went to watch Lego movie with my boys upon going to movie those was a pile of popcorn wasted on floor and was still there after the movie . The ticket are to high for the theater that just has the basic functions it was the same price at cinergy and they have reclining seats and a variety of food choices
Today was my first time going to the regal cinema in Midland. Considering Cinergy was sold out of the Avengers End Game we decided to try regal. What a mistake.... The lobby as well as the movie theatre had to be atleast 80 degrees!!! It was rediculous how hot it was in that building. Looking around, you could see people in the lobby as well in the movie theatre having to try and fan themselves. We had theatre #8. Absolutely unacceptable how hot it was. Only giving 2 stars because the chairs are comfortable, and the Avengers movie was so incredible it saved this review in only getting 1 star. So glad when i do decide to watch a movie i go to Cinergy instead.
Unfortunately it was disappointing. Opening weekend for the Avengers and the theater was hot as hell as the AC didnt work. Yes they said they would give us our money back but honestly travel 100+miles buy tickets wayyy in advance to be there and get our money back? No thank you. Horrible. But the employees were genuinely appologetic and nice.
Dont usually go there. Took a chance. Nothing like walking into a shooting gallery, unarmed. With all the advertising done. Inviting all the criminals to take out a few law abiding citizens.
Nice theater! Comfy seats, clean. Overall a nice movie theater!
Love going to see movies here
Loved it they have deaf devices but they sure delay too long to get it n give to me. Makes me miss out the beginning. Need to work on that. Itd be nice they update website to suggest listening device or eye device for deaf people online so we can request n have it automatically served to me right away without me missing a beginning.
Bathrooms need to be clean more, some games didnt work need to fix, staff is very nice, the front area looks clean . Very nice place besides them two things
Love the seats. Had a gud time.
Good popcorn, usually slow so you dont have to wait. They should try to maybe upgrade their seats to compair with Cinergy. The screen we saw Alita on also had a really noticable large yellow stain.
Very clean bathrooms. Quiet and comfortable. Never a rowdy crowd. Friendly staff.
Holy cow, $30.50 for 2 at 1:00 PM in the afternoon? Only 3 of us in the whole seating area! The equalizer is a popular movie! But wow! How can anyone afford to go to the movies anymore!
Won’t make people be quiet and act like it’s a big deal or you’re lying if you ask. Go to Cinergy.
Great selection of movies, especially those popular ones many want to see. Hope to have more options at the concessions and cleaner floors. Better comfort in seating but RPX and IMAX theaters are great to view action packed movies.
Went to book at cinery bit got routed to regal site, tried to get a refund and was denied. Popcorn isnt very good, half the stuff here is broken. Had to go to the snack counter to get tickets.... Pretty poor image
Joel is very friendly and courteousAlways look forward to seeing himWhen we come in.
Aladdin was GREAT. Grandchildren loved it
It was nice just the people behind me kept kicking the back of my seat and wouldnt shut up $15 wow now I got to go see the movie all over again
I actually give it 3-1/2 stars but clearly thats not an option. like most things in midland, it feels as though this tall city is at least 5 to 8 years behind in comparison to other similar cities that just may not have nearly as much $$$$ as this hell hole, but somehow are able to make small, yet appreciated updates and accommodations, such as... oooh, I dont know, provide seating that doesnt date back to the early 80s; that adjust, even in the smallest of ways, and; (gasp) be able to lift up / remove those pesky cup holders that flank you on both sides.
Went to see Baby Driver and was quite impressed with the overall cleanliness and level of comfort I was able to have. Snack prices are a bit higher than other cinemas, but I guess its to be expected. I used to drive out to Odessa to catch the early bird specials on Saturday mornings, but I will be going back to Regal this weekend to see something else. Worth the extra $2/3.
We watch movies here every other weekend and it never fails that they put ONE person in the booth to take payments and today I waited longer for the older lady to get me the tickets than the time it took to drive there...... I understand the marketing strategy behind Wal-Mart putting the oldest people on earth in the fast lane check outs so that we buy the high impulse stuff at check out counter or so that we have time to remember stuff that we forgot but why a movie cinema would put an elderly lady with ZERO computer or register skills in a booth will forever confuse me !!!
We went to an IMAX movie. Everything seemed okay at the theater but the chairs were pretty uncomfortable in my opinion.
We went to see a move in IMAX. Sound and screen was great. The rows are pretty close together so you feel like you have to crawl over people to get to your seat. I would buy a seat on the outside of the row if I ever went again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, they need to monitor screening rooms for rude people that talk excessively during the movies. Tickets and snacks are overpriced, which is pretty typical for Regal Theaters. We limit our visits. The stadiums are not nice enough to justify the seat price, when you can rent the movies for $1.75 a few weeks later and stretch out on your own couch.
Lines move fast theater was clean
Temperatures were good, good clear movie, last 3 experiences at cinergy were bad and managment ignored our requests, Regal was on tonight
Nice theater. Comfy seats
Typical movie theater. Courteous staff, films start on time, and a bit over priced. Would like it if all staff asked for the rewards info to remind guests but only a small concern there since staff is great otherwise. Would prefer more ushers.
TERRIBLE theater! Lobby was dirty, concession lines moved slowly, seats were uncomfortable and cracking. Will not return.
Nice clean movie theater. Great imax screen.
Bumblebee was goodCouldnt understand the seating arrangement all the red seats are taken choose from the blue but in the end the were maybe
For what it is, this movie theater is just that - a movie theater. Its not too fancy, and there really isnt much to do here besides watch a movie, which is exactly what I want out of a movie theater. I dont need an arcade, a bowling alley, or a dining experience to go with my movie - just the movie itself. Good place.
The seats were uncomfortable and was alot of young kids talking. Someone should be supervising that.
I had to go tell the employees that the picture was out, black screen. While out with the employees other movie gowers from different auditoriums were saying the same thing. It would not be so bad but this happened on two consecutive nights.
Good prices, great seating. Highly recommend establishment.
Does not allow concealed carry of firearms by people with a license to carry. I felt like a target in a place with a sign on the door and said please come in and shoot whoever you want they have no defense. I will absolutely not return until this policy is changed. Also there was a total of 3 people counting myself to watch this latest Star Wars film and both they and I had to ask that they turn down the sound since there was only 3 people to absorb the sound and it was much too loud. If they did turn it down I couldnt tell. I drink a medium popcorn and a ticket cost just over $28. I will not be back.
More expensive food than other imax theaters . Food servers had bad attitude. Poor customer service. Not what you associate with an imax experience
My favorite local theater. Its a movie theater, not a mini theme park.
Great place great movies
Good price but could have a little more comfortable chairs
Moses from sight and sound theaters was awesome!! Need to show more Christian movies like this... Good time with good friends!!
