We love Bumble Bee!

Theater is cramped and the seats don’t recline. GTX surround sound was horrible.... speakers crackled and everything was rattling. We switched to a non-GTX theater and the sound was still too loud. My daughter had a panic attack from the volume and we had to leave (we’ve never had this issue at another movie theater ever). They gave me a refund on the tickets, but I was stuck with the 27 bucks worth of snacks I bought for a movie I’m not going to watch. Wish I’d gone to the theater in Newark instead. I’m never coming back here again.

Every staff member was mask compliant and so very helpful. It is better now customer service and kindness then I have ever experienced in the last few years. Please, keep up the wonderful job.

Miss the dollar movies already. They were fun. The MASK B.S. has gotta stop. Im not coming back until you stop forcing us to wear a mask. Apparently this fake virus can get us in the lobby but not past their magical barrier in the theater. STOP FORCING US TO WEAR A MASK.

This is a pretty good theater. Go here if you wanna see a classic on the big screen. Not the most convenient location but would check out if you could.

Had a great fathers day treat with my husband, my son and my sons almost father in law. Of course us women had to go along lol. Great specials with movies being $1.00. Very clean. Staff is great..

I love this theater. The seats were very comfortable, the service from the employees is always friendly and kind, and the prices (including concessions!) are much more reasonable than most movie theaters for sure. Its a local gem.

The best movie theater experience! I love the way the concession area is setup. Its very simple to choose and pay for your snacks and theres never a long wait. The theater chairs are very comfortable and its always worth the drive. I live closer to Dover but prefer to driver an extra 10-15 minutes to go here.

Really good local theater. Concessions have more choices than Id expect and theres even a bar for beer/wine. Ticket prices are about what youd expect for this day and age in a town this size. Seats are comfortable with good viewing angles. Place is clean and well run.

Appreciated that they remained open even with the virus going around. Could see all the extra sanitary cautions they took so it would not spread. Very comforting knowing how much they cared for the public and not for profit. Extremely clean everywhere. You could smell the sanitizer they used in the bathrooms. Saw I Believe today. Worth the extra driving needed to get there and have something to do besides stay home and watch TV.

An excellent theater choice. Comfortable seating, high quality sound and projection quality. The GTX theater truly makes for an impressive large screen experience. A wide variety of snacks are available. Always clean and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Very clean theater!! I love the seats...spacious and comfortable. Staff is polite and friendly. No one has their pants sagging! Hair is near and well kept!

We come here ever now and again. Nice place to get out and go to the movies. Also nice that you can get a beer or wine to go along with some popcorn or whatever you get from the snack bar while watching the movie.

First visit to Westown Movies (live in Kent Co., DE). Classic Cinema on Sunday afternoon ... Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. My son grew up with the books & movies. It was nice to experience it again on the big screen. The cafeteria style concessions was a nice change ... snacks were not as expensive as other theaters. Thank you.

I love this theater. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that they do not have reclining seats. I wonder why they omitted this in a newly built movie theater. But, the seats are comfortable and have reserved seating. Food is more reasonably priced then other chains and the quality of the protection and sound systems are outstanding. The theater serves beer and there are many restaurants in the immediate area and a mini-golf course and ice cream next door.

Awesome experience! The GTX is wonderful. You can select your seats, enjoy comfy stadium seating, and reasonable concessions.

Good clean fun, they even offer beers and wine . Allways something to watch. Fantastic sound

This place is awesome. Great seats very comfortable. They have a bar you can get a drink but thats later in the day. $6.00 movies. Very nice we look forward to going there again soon. We were looking for a nice movies since we are to the area. They have a food area for other choices movie food. Staff very friendly. Very clean

Not about the movie, or the popcorn, but the honesty of the staff. My wallet fell out of my pocket in the theater, and had several hundred dollars in cash in it. An usher found it while cleaning, and turned it in. I picked it up several hours later. Hats off to honesty and integrity.

I will never watch a movie from here again. People sit wherever they want eventhough they have assigned seats. We bought 6 seats together when my son visiting from Texas was visiting his half brother for the 1st time. My 8 year old son was forced to sit by himself because the manager would not move the people sitting in our seats.I will never attend this theater again

It was nice you can order your tickets at a kiosk or the attendant before you walk in the theater they have a area where you pick up your snacks which I though was convient only thing I didn’t like is you have to pick where you want to sit then you have to find your seats I think they could pose a problem but other than that it’s a nice place

The comfort, spaciousness, along with picture quality was next to non. We also enjoyed the variations at the concession area.

What a wonderful theater! This is my first time going here. The location is great, and it was not hard to find a parking spot. It was easy to find. The inside looks brand new and the seats were great. Overall a great experience.

My favorite movie theater overall. Always clean and always has plenty of seating. Leather seating is very comfy! Lots of self serve food items. They have added a small bar to the concession area recently.

Very nice staff this evening. One of the employees (possibly a manager) even had a pleasant conversation with my husband and offered to give him an extra Avengers poster they had in the back. We love coming to this theater, they have yet to disappoint us.

Great theater. Enormous screen and speakers literally everywhere. I cant speak for snacks cause I didnt buy any, but the seats are also incredibly comfortable and roomy.

Great prices during the trying times

So the food options a good but very pricy. The theaters are nice but the movie we watched was sooooooooo loud I couldnt even enjoy it. I have worked in bars for years with bands and DJs playing so I am use to things being loud but this was horrible. It ruined the entire movie for me. I had a headache for hours after the movie.

Visited the other day to see the new Star Wars. We walked into the theater 8 minutes after the posted showtime and the movie had already started. Asked one of the workers about it and they said there was 15 minutes of previews which was not true. This we missed even more of the movie. Luckily we were able to go to another showing and see what we missed.Got a bag of popcorn. No refills on the large size. Our popcorn tasted old and had a bunch of kernels. Almost felt I broke my tooth on one. Other than those two issues it was an okay experience.

I love this place. Movie times are always conducive to my schedule. I gave it a five but I would like something done to improve the temperature of the cheese dispenser for pretzel bites and nachos. I usually attend the movie around 10-10:30 am and the cheese is lukewarm at best.

My first time here at this cinema house. Bought a ticket online for Downton Abbey, also a first, buying online, then printing it out. There were only about 20 or so people seated, at the afternoon matinee. The seats were so soft and comfy, with plenty of leg room. Ill def be returning!

I absolutely love going here! A coworker actually suggested that I go here instead of other places because of how nice it is! Any time any movie comes out that I want to see, I now go here instead due to how lovely the staff is and how welcoming they all are. I plan on going as often as I can!

This theater can get packed at times but the theater is really nice and not too old. Employees and other staff do their very best too! One downside is that refills for drinks aren’t free. Other than that, great place to watch a movie!

Great theater! Everything is very clean and new looking, with a lot of cool mural art inside. Reasonably priced snacks and alcohol of youre feeling it. Always a good experience here, as long as theres not too much construction going on nearby.

First time at this theater, and what a flawless experience! Saw a matinee at the Tuesday reduced rate. The building is spacious, modern, and inviting. Not a GTX showing, but nevertheless a beautiful, large-format screen and a properly bright digital projection. The sound filled the space nicely, with impactful bass that didnt overwhelm the rest of the mix. Every inch of the place, including the restrooms, was spotless clean. Didnt partake of concessions this time, but well definitely return and hit up that bar...

Clean,great atmosphere, popcorn is spilling over out of your bag just as your saying large please they are on it ! Wide selection of snacks and drinks.. I love the baked goods.. always run for the fruity pebble Krispy treat. If you want an adult beverage, go for it ! Lil area for kids.. love the new feature of seat saving. Everyone is very kind and prices are great ! My hubby and I are here all the time.. good seating. Comfortable and clean. Love that your so close to home.. great job !

Paid full price on a Tuesday. Concessions are horribly over priced!!! Literally had to stand on a layer of popcorn to order my own and also to fill drink cups. When I pointed the filth of the lobby out to a concessions employee her answer was I know. Disgusting. If I hadnt already over paid I would have left. Do yourself a favor and drive to Chestertown Marylands theater to see what a clean, well kept theater should look like and enjoy the comfy reclining seats while you are there!!

The staff is very friendly, and the selection for food items aside from popcorn is good. They even have small, local ice cream cups for those with a sweet tooth! The theaters are always clean and very nice, and there is a good selection of movies available to watch.

I honestly am truly disappointed with my experience here and meanwhile the theater was beautiful and the movie (of what we go to see was great ) there was a woman who worked here who not only scared my 4 year old son but embarrassed me as a mother and was completely rude! Now this is the first time my son has ever been to the movies and he was very good he was sitting in the chair and got his foot stuck in the fold of the seat well when I tried to get his foot out of the seat without hurting him i managed to get him out but his shoe got stuck once I pulled his leg out well as we were walking out of the auditorium I was making sure we had all of our belongings at the exit this woman comes up to my son and I and with a very mean face on she tells me that children cant be running all over the theater so I tell her that we were on our way out and she didnt even let me tell her we were leaving because he got his foot stuck and hurt himself she was to busy being rude and telling is off now this was a 5 oclock movie how to train your dragon3 a kids movie and a Tuesday evening and we were quiet as can be especially under the circumstances but as my first experience being to this movie theater (we are new to the area) I will not go back ever ! Ive never been shamed in such a way and what made it worst is this woman had the nerve as we were walking out of the building to talk badly about us to other staff working nearby the the exit . Im really disappointed that we had such a bad experience because my son enjoyed his movie experience until not only did he get stuck in a chair but basically crucified by this staff woman who scared him he asked me all the way home if he was in trouble how sad is that :(

Movie night - Just Mercy with my youngest Gson

I was in theater 9 watching Captain Marvel, and the screen lighting was much too dark for the film. It needed to be brighter from the projection both. It was brighter in the Regal theater, so I wanted you to know proper screen lighting for all films is paramount for a good viewing experience.

My husband and I had our first visit here recently and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were excellent, the place was super clean and the seats were comfy in the big theater. I also really liked how reasonable the pricing was for snacks..much less than most theaters. We will be back soon for sure.

I have watched several movies at this theatre. I enjoy the experience every time. They have spoiled me for public viewing, I will notbgo anywhere else in my area!

Employee was super helpful about changing tickets for my incorrect booking. Service was great and food prices arent that insane compared to other places.

I enjoyed the diversity and the foods. The prices are your typical movie theater prices, a little high considering what they are and the amount. However being accused of stealing simply when I was going back to get a straw and was no where near the area i was accused from taking from, I didnt appreciate it whatsoever. I understand it was busy, and that things of the sort happen all the time, but the tone and manner i was accused was rude and unprofessional in my opinion. Despite that, it was a pretty okay theater.

We watch every superhero movie here! Its so nice to be able to have reserved seating! Chairs are very comfortable and its always so clean! Also the food is always good and not crazy expensive... And they have alcohol lol

Biggest movie screens Ive seen to date from roof to floor. Amazing surround sound also with a variety of a activities available in the lobby other than the snack bar there is a regular bar also and some vide games with a seating area.

Wonderful Theatre!

Furnishings, sound, and screens have all been good. Also, never had an issue with people on their phones during the movies.

This is a good alternative to Cinemark Christiana, the projector picture is about average for Delaware but it is large. The standard seating is very nice, I think I like these better then any of the other standard seats Ive been in so far. The lobby is very nice, simple, and the food and drink options are good without being overly priced like others.However I didnt get to try GTX yet, I will update the review once I get to try GTX. The movie I went to see wasnt in GTX at the time, but I will definitely go back to try it and potentially give a 5 star review if I like what I see.

I love this theatre!! Conveniently located in Middletown, so even a drive up from Dover or Smyrna is well worth the travel. Very clean theatres, with many options at the concession site and the prices are reasonable. No more going broke on date night over popcorn and soda. Seating in the theater is spacious and comfortable. A lot of leg room for my taller friends out there. Overall a great experience everytime Ive visited this place. One of my favorite theaters in DE.

Average Theater, instead of reclining chairs they have rocking chairs. No ticket booth, self serve kiosk& food area. Pay with Cashier. Overall decent & clean!!

Saturday afternoon (1/4/20) we decided to take the kids to the movies to see Frozen 2 at 1:45, they received gift cards for Christmas and we were looking forward to a family day. After arriving to the theater Kevin and the kids began picking their snacks while I went to the register to select our seats. The cashier then slid the gift cards telling me each one expired in 1900. He called over a manager. She informed me that the gift cards must have been from Christmas of 2018 and proceeded to tell me of how there was a major system glitch in which funds never went onto cards. She informed me that she would forward the card info to the general manager and try to have it fixed for our next visit. I questioned what about today and was informed that I would have to pay. Now please realize..... we drove 35 minutes one way with three children, selected popcorn, pretzels, chips, and icees for 5 people. I have 60$ of non working gift cards in my hand still enclosed in the envelopes provided. (but don’t forget.... you got my aunts 60$ when she got the cards) and you’re telling me you can’t do ANYTHING for the movie showing that we want to see in 5 minutes?!?!?! I am disgusted at the lack of customer service. We left the food on the counter (what a major waste) and walked out with 2 small screaming children and an annoyed teen because you couldn’t so much as let us in while you contact someone else to resolve the issue at hand. After calming my children in the parking lot we took our business to AMC. Which was yet another long car drive.What a disgrace. How about you train your managers in customer service? To expect me to pay out of pocket for everything when I came to use the gift cards is insane and unfair. 5 days later I still haven’t heard from them and the cards still don’t work.

Westown movie theater is always clean, with friendly staff. I like the streamlined ticket kiosks and the cafeteria style food area. Seats are comfy and $6 Tuesdays rock!

Place needs to clean its act up! I felt the theater was very dirty! I got chips and nachos and they were stale!

Westown used to be the best movie theatre until you went all the way to the regal in Wilmington, but management has let it sink. The people there are still nice and helpful, but the check in and ticket ordering machines suck now, and there are lots of little things, like broken lightbulbs, that have gone unfixed for years now. Still a good place, it just fell a ways from its 5 star days.

We watched Toy Story 4. It was a good movie. I did not like the fact that the theater picks your seats for you.
