What a nice, beautiful, big, open public park with nice paths and scenery! Theres a clearwater pond in the middle with seaweed and an abundance of fish! There are docks spread throughout the pond that you can walk out onto. There are native plants growing around the pond and in the park, in general! It looked like they were working on a native plant restoration project, which is great! I ran into an unexpected war memorial, at the park, which was really well constructed. There were signs next to trees educating people on the types of trees they are. I thought that was really cool. :D Its a nice park to have a picnic at. There were people hanging out on the grass, people walking their dogs, and children playing at the playground. It was a very inviting place.
We were married in the gazebo in 2018. Its a lovely spot and the available shelters were great for the reception. The city is totally renovating the shelters now and theyre looking great. We still come down there to play tennis and stroll around the pond. The tennis court could use some maintenance but its totally useable.
The slide is still broken, but its still a pretty nice park. Once the pavilion is finished and the splash pad opens again. It will be a 5 star park.
Wonderful park! Lots of space.Accommodates different age children.
We had our wedding here 7 years ago and its become a favorite place to visit
Frisbee golf course, baseball diamond, a couple playgrounds, bank of four tennis courts, big wide open fields, and bike paths weaving through
Great park with lots of features. Multiple playgrounds, pavilion, pond, gazebos, splash pad, exercise stations, etc.
One of the best parks in the area! It offers so much to do. It has two play areas, bathrooms, a splash pad thats open in the summer, a lake that you can fish in, and a short walking trail around the lake. My kids never get bored here and it offers a wide variety for all ages!
Gorgeous park well maintained trails and a family friendly place
Nice pond with a .4 mile loop
It has a good fishing pond and a nice playground and splash pad for kids
Nice little 9 hole disc golf.
Nice location and great trails to walk
Love this place in the summer. Nice for birthday events for children and barbecuing. Nice splash pad.
Good disc golf
Super fun! Beautiful walking trail with exercise equipment! Ill be back!
Great place to start a bike ride!
Its a beautiful place for kids and small family outings. Very clean park and a lovely splash pad. The only thing I was concerned about was the bobcat driver, he was going at too fast a speed through the park where small children were running and playing. Please ask them to slow down, and cordon off areas where they need to be operating.thankyou for your consideration of small children. It is a wonderful park!
We ended up in Middleton in the afternoon and were looking for a place to play with our 4 year old and just turned 2 year old. There werent any baby swings in this park for the 2 year old. The park is built seemingly in a wetland so its pretty muddy in the early spring.Great park for climbing and sliding. In the summer the splash pad looks like it would be great!
Great place to take the kids. Splash pad is nice. Kids love it
Awesome splash pad, multiple playgrounds, clean facilities. Awesome clean pond that you can actually see the fish swimming in also! Very nice paved paths throughout for walking and biking with little ones as well.
Beautiful park with a splash pad. And a pond with a kazeebo. A two sided shelter with room to spare for a birthday party or family event. Its lots to do.
An awesome place for family gatherings and lots of stuff to play with for children. You can reserve a space for family ceremonies or wedding parties. You will love it in the open and children can do water play as well.
Disc golf course is free but not sophisticated.
Nice park with a paved path around a pond that allows leashed dogs.
This is an great family park complete with a splash pad and pond for fishing. Not crowded on a Tuesday evening and the perfect spot for just hanging out.
Always have our family reunion here. Great place, very clean, lots of room. Plug in for food, water park for children. Love it
Very nice park. Pretty clean. Splash pad was not open until the posed time... Otherwise a great experience.
Beautiful Park! I am from California and I wish we had Splash Parks! Very great day with the Grandchildren!
Good for kids of all ages. 8 to 80. So beautiful and more to come.
What a great park. We for flag football practice and Im impressed.
Great park for walking/jogging.
This is great for preschool and up, unfortunately there really isnt anything at the main playground for toddlers.
Definitely one of the best, if not the best, parks in Madison for kids. Amazing modern and colorful playgrounds, and a splash pad in the summer with sprinklers and fountains.
They have everything from bathrooms to disc golf and a fun playground with splash pad
Beautiful space!
Perfect place to go with kids in summer and fall. The splash pad is my kids fav!
Splash pad, various playgrounds for different ages, a beautiful lake, many structures for events... what more could one ask for?
Park is beautiful but we went for the splash pad which was less than satisfying. Half the time the water didnt work and there wasnt much variety. But alright for a close, quick cool down.
Good park, lots of Pokestops
Nice play ground, good place for kids to fish and a fun waterpark
2nd time thereSuch a beautiful park
Great place to go in the sunny months, very icy/muddy in winter but still fun!
This is a great park! I have been walking everyday while I am here. There is a splash park for kiddos when the weather is warm. Covered picnic grounds, great walking path, ballfield, playground for the kids, pond for possible fishing!
We mainly use this park to let my grandkids practice tennis as this is where they have their lessons. Some of the problems is there is no benches inside or outside the tennis courts. Parents have to sit on the grass or bring a chair to watch the lessons but this is problematic in that there is a hill where the chairs need to be. I am disabled and use a walker and am forced to watch from my car. Even when the kids practice, there is no bench inside the court. McKee Park tennis courts in Fitchburg have a bench on the side of the fence by each court. This is a good place for players to put their bags and water bottles or for a family member to sit and watch. Also, while the park has restrooms, they are frequently closed on Sunday in the cooler weather. My grandkids have two one hour sessions and sometimes one needs to use the bathroom while waiting and they are locked. The park is pretty and keeping the bathrooms open and having benches in the tennis area would go a long way toward improving the park.
Great place for kids very equippedNice walk pathsClean alwaysNice lake viewGreat place for parties and picnics
This is a great community park that deserves 5 stars. The reason I give only 3 stars is muddy mess the park and surrounding grounds are. I’ve lived in the community for 20 years and every year the soggy, muddy grounds get worse. I would have thought with the upgrades to the park and addition of the splash pad, more consideration would have been put into drainage and landscaping.
Quiet park to stroll with the pup and watch boats
I love this little park and miss it a lot. We used to live right around the corner and would take our dog on a walk here every day. Its a perfect little loop and youre usually all alone in the early morning. Its lit at night too, so the night walking is great. During the winter hardly anyone walks, which makes it perfect. A great resource for the neighborhood, complete with great horned owls, fox, muskrats, wood ducks, and many other awesome wildlife that you wouldnt expect.
Nice splash park for the kids, pond for fishing, path for walking, and shelters for parties
Very nice park! We held our family reunion pinic there this weekend. Plenty of space, mini- water features for kids to cool off, etc. Good times & memories!
Great playground & splash pad. Great place for kids.
Great park and memorial piece! Lots of parking, shelter area, and courts. Kids area is pretty significant in size. Great park for kids.
Skate park was super busy, but kids could bike on the path around. Was unsure if biking is allowed in skate park also
Kids love
My husband and I were very impressed by this park. We came for a picnic and found a lovely shady spot by the small pond. We had a great time. Plenty of parking on a Saturday and not too crowded
Such a cool place with so much to do
There is a nice pavilion area for larger gatherings. The park is great for kids. The splash pad was good too, but it was not consistent in getting started up again after going though a cycle. The restart buttons were a bit fickle. A nice place to look at nature as well.
Lots to do. Even a frisbee golf course in the back.
Lakeview park is a great place for many different occasions. From fishing to grilling out, this place has it all. A ton of public events also take place here such as ice cream socials and easter egg hints for the kids every year. I highly reccomend this place if you have a kid who needs to burn out energy, which in case theres teo seperate jungle gyms and a splash park, or maybe you are a hobbyist fishermen, in this case you will love the catch and release pond that is stocked with many variations of fish. Overall it has great parking, many fun activities, and is a great place to take the whole family!
Great place for kids.
A good place for kids to be engaged!
City doesnt really caare about the disc golf course.Hasnt been mowed once this year
Love fishing in the pond, or watching people enjoy the many play structures, running trail, tennis courts, and excersize stations that are there.
Really nice... beautiful!
This place is perfect for nature walks
Awesome stop on the way home with the little guy
3 great playgrounds to spread out to if busy. Splash pad is a hit in the warm months! Also nice to take a short stroll around the little lake.
Love this place
Stocked pond makes fishing for the little ones very rewarding. My son started here and loves it now. Great memories.
Be better if it wasnt always flooding
Loved this large park and pavilion for National Night Out. The pavilion was large enough to feed the entire city (practically lol), host all the businesses, have mounted police, fire trucks, etc. And it was great when a DEA helicopter landed. Kids loved the water park and playground area.
One of the best parks in Middleton - has something for everyone. Shelter popular for get togethers, birthday parties, etc. Playground and splash pad for the kids. Four tennis courts and large field.
This place was awesome had something for every age I loved it the kids loved it never get bored its too much to do here
Great location great fun
Good place to bring the kids no matter how old they are. Lots of well organized sports and fun programs in the summer for local community residents.
Had our church picnic under the shelter.
Large enough for everyone.
Best hike
Nice hiking trails.
Super awesome park
Its a nice sized, open space park you can throw things (ball, disc, boomerang, trash ), walk the trails, fish, see nature, or have a large, loud party at the pavilion.
An awesome park. Big covered picnic area, multiple play structures for kids, lots of fields and open space, and a great pond with a path going around it.
This place is fun for the kids but is getting run down (as in I saw a rusty nail in a spot that kids crawl under and the wood is so worn down it is slippery). There was a diverse crowd there. Some of the parents needed not only sitters so someone is watching their kids but also to give them a 101 on basic sharing a public place ediquite .
Nice park, but with the amount of money the city has put into the pond for fishing, the fishery shouldn’t be so unhealthy. On a trip today I saw hundreds of dead bluegill fingerlings along the shore and several dead largemouth bass. This water is being overrun with goldfish and carp which are stirring up the water and hurting native species. And there’s still a large amount of milfoil all over the pond. Whatever the strategy was to create a sustainable fishery back in 2013 was, it’s not working.
Lots of playground equipment for kids. Splash park is great. Pond with fake ducks! Large picnic structure with lots of tables as well as BBQs around it. Kids really enjoy this park.
Lots of things for kids and plenty of room.
So much to do. Splash pad, fishing, bird watching, pavillion, outdoir gyms....we love it
Will be going back with kids to spend the day. Fishing pond splash pad play ground picnic area covered area trails bathrooms great place!
A nice place to picnic, bring your dog, and kids. There is a splash pad and fishing pond for Grandma and young kids.
