Went for a driver fitting almost two weeks ago, Steven did a great job finding the right driver but then we found it was out of stock! Had to order it, now almost two weeks later the driver has not arrived. I order things from amazon and TGW and they arrive in three days or less. This should not be acceptable.
The gentleman that helped us was very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. However, the driver fitting itself was an extreme waste of money. Essentially, it was a $30 club demo on a digital driving range. A couple drivers were pulled off the shelf and masking taped to protect. We swung them a few times and saw stats of the swings. Nothing on the club was ever adjusted or changed (loft, lie, shaft etc.). I left with no further knowledge about a club that would be fit for me. Nothing on the sign posted in the fitting area took place (picture attached). I guess we will try GolfTec or just go to a range with a driver tool and make adjustments ourselves until we find good results.
I was at there with one of my golf clubs to fix it up the staff super helpful I recommend this store 100% profesional and knowledge they have everything you can ask thx so much ...
While visiting my mother in Dayton we visited Golf Galaxy and had a great experience. I was greeted when first entering the store, show around, and fitted for a driver. I will be visiting the store every time Im in Dayton.
I purchased a putter for my husband. Reasonable price and great staff.
Normally the place to go for my clubs and accessories. I guess the staff didnt want to sell me anything. It was like pulling teeth to get the clerk to help me let alone answers I was looking for. I guess they were not in the mood to sell something today. I will go online.
The employees are always super friendly and seem to be very knowledgeable. We live about 45 mins away and my son and I are never disappointed when we leave.
Visited 8/15/2020 to purchase a driver. The manger was the most helpful person in their. Told him when I walked in I was looking at the taylormade sim or callaway maverick and wanted to test them both out and see what I liked better. The guy he referred me to was wearing a face shield and was rude as could be. Didnt make an effort to adjust the loft or anything. Trying to figure out my swing speed to determine the correct shaft and he didnt even set the machine up. Very disappointed.
Great atmosphere ! Got new clubs.
Great service in regripping clubs as I waited. My go to store.
The younger guys that work there are rude and unprofessional not much knowledge of golf or equipment.
Good bunch of guys
Needed to simply update my driver, regrip some clubs, generally get some help before the season. I have visited 3 or 4 times the past couple months and the staff have been amazing. Very helpful, offering lots of options, never pushy, allowed me to sample and hit lots of different clubs. Eventually purchased a couple. The young man who works on grips has been amazing as I considered purchasing new irons. Very knowledgable, has taken lots of time and allowed me to use the indoor range a lot while considering. I will be purchasing new set from them because of his customer service and amount of time he has spent.Multiple visits and multiple associates there have made me a loyal customer of this location. Good on you guys for the pro treatment.
Only decent golf shop around.
Went in grabbed a Callaway XR 16 driver went on sale the next day and they refunded me over the phone. Much appreciated!!!!
Extremely friendly, helpful and eager to assist and accommodate their customers.I came in to shop shirts today with my rambunctious children. After my children tore down a couple displays, they didnt shame me but rather cheerfully helped me reassemble them. Then gave me suggestions on shirts and honored my online only coupon once I made it to the counter after the struggle. Really made my day. Thanks guys!
Dont waste your time!
Though an experienced golfer, recovering my golf game after a spine injury required some lessons from an expert. My efforts to do it on my own were not working. I had worked with Terry at Golf Galaxy in Miamisburg, Ohio a few years ago on some club fittings. It was evident Terry knew what he was doing. So, he became my choice for an instructor. Terry clearly identified the flaws and communicated the fixes needed in the very first lesson. I elected to take a second lesson a week later, but could see on the video I was not yet there. However, Terry was able to communicate a couple of fresh ideas to help me get the feel I needed to execute the swing properly. Bingo! The lights began to come on! Now I am hitting the ball solidly again, with less effort, and that bodes well for my back and my handicap. I hope to be back down in single-digit handicap range by June of 2014 at age 70. Thank you Terry.
Snowy winter day, went in for a few things (golf fever). Found a bag under a Sun Mountain sale sign for $179... went to register and was told it was $239. I said its on sale right by the sign. I was told that the sale was for 2018 bags and that this one was 2019... no explanation as to how me as a consumer can tell the difference between last seasons bag and this season when they are mixed together and on the same platform...Dicks Sporting Goods sucks (owns GG too) and its gotten all the way into the golf business too. Im going to do my shopping from other online retailers and wait for GG to go under. Oh, I used to work part time at this store for a few years ago and they obviously treat everyone poorly these days.
Helpful staff helped me pick out a new set of clubs! Cant wait to use them!
Usually on if your just after some tees or balls, the guy who works on clubs is great. Today I had a question about the sale price on Callaway drivers (because the sign was wrong) and the young associate was very rude and with a judgemental tone said youre not getting it for that(price). Than he just walked off, jokes on him because I was ready to by the driver. Ill take my $249.00 somewhere else.
Went in to buy some practice equipment for my junior golfer. The tall bald employee was a jerk and treated me like I was dumb for not seeing equipment I was looking for when I hadnt even made it far enough into the store to see it. He also gave me a youre stupid look while I was leaving even though I smiled and nodded at him. You can tell he is young and cocky and hates having to deal with customers. My kids have a long road ahead of them and I looked forward to doing my business at this location but I wont be back. This location lost years and years of business from me today.
Was gonna have to spend an additional 30+ dollars at the UPS store for a box but Steve hooked me up with one for my clubs to be shipped in to Florida without even having to make a purchase. Great guys over there
