Easy to find, simple parking. Go early. Everyone there likes dogs and everyone with a dog is respectful. It is a beach that allows dogs, versus a dog beach. Clean with food options too.
The beach is on the way to the beautiful Key Biscayne. Beach with a natural environment, suitable for relaxing and excellent for water sports. Its waters are very hot and full of seaweed. Beautiful view over Miami (downtown). Beach allows pets. There is no lifeguard. Free parking. Note that there is a toll on the way ($ 3).
Great beach! Very scenic, clear water and dog-friendly (providing theyre leashed). Just get there early or make sure you gassed up because parking fills goes quick!
The view of the City is outstanding. Pit stop if you need a resttoom or just a calm place to spend a Beach day.
I had a awesome day at the beach! Very peaceful. And clean public bathroom.
Our favorite beach! Easy access to the car and close to the sand!! Police come by often, ensuring the crowd stays well behaved. Ace cream truck comes by 2x per day ($2 for almost any item on his menu, including ice cold water bottles).Crowd tends to be older and more tame. We like to get there early. Plenty of shade from the palm trees and the water is calm. The kids love the shallow water, and clean white sand (no seaweeds or grasses).Biggest negative — Sometimes (rare) you might see glass and often bottle caps and cigarette buts. Because it is a doggie beach, watch for dogs. Most are friendly, and generally well behaved. The plus outweighs the negatives.
Nice little beach lined up with palm trees. Shame some people leave behind so much trash. The County cant keep up. An employee was picking up trash in a little bucket. I was tempted to tell him youre gonna need a bigger bucket . I picked up a few obvious plastic items, but its really a full time job.
Loved this beach, the location, the water and shade. I loved that my furever baby was allowed to join us on the beach and cool off. It was my first time and I enjoyed it so much. I revisited the very next day
This beach is hassle free. You park and walk a few feet to the water. No one bothers you. If you are an avid swimmer looking for deep water, this beach is not for you!
You cant beat LA weather. Today was literally the best day to go hiking, sunny but with a lovely breeze so as to not get overheated.
Parking lot is only accessible by driving East on Rickenbacker Causeway. Arrive before 9am to secure a parking spot and a shady spot in the sand. Parking lots are coned off before closure (8pm) to limit new admittance.Dog-friendlyFree parking (limited space)BathroomsConcessionsSome shadeNo surfSargassum (depending on the day)Minimal rocks (depending on the area)Trash (where there are humans, there is trash but there are plenty of bins available to dispose of trash)
Beautiful, small, clean beach. It wasnt too crowded when we went on a Sunday in October. There are no chair or umbrella rentals available but there are several palm trees on the beach you can set up under. There is a food vendor selling hotdogs, arepas, pinchos, etc. We didnt try the food but its nice to know the option is there. Free parking, and dog friendly. What more can you ask for?
Peaceful. Chill. Food vendors are awesome but there are no vegetarian or vegan options.
Nice place, I’m pregnant and this is one of the few beaches I have found comfortable for me and the beach itself is not very crowded, however, don’t waste your time going after 9am. Almost all the parking is taken by the cyclists and even after 10am, when there’s finally some free spaces, the beach staff won’t open the beach access immediately.
Im a cyclist. I do go fishing there. The parks. The view, the location, the sports ambient is in the air. POLICE the Best!! Only problem..... Speeding cars!!! And motorcycles!!! 100+ miles
I got jeffyfish sting at this beach this was pretty painful and hurted they didnt even warn us about the possibility of you getting hurt let alone a jeffyfish the beach was nice tho .
I love this place super friendly atmosphere, great food vendors, and very clean Beach!
Awesome place to take the kids and your furry little friend.
Very beautiful great fishing bike riding exercise..awesome beach with A/C bathrooms and vendor with food and frozen drinks
Its a small beach, great but quite. Lots of palms and theres no a lot of waves. Beautiful. But its hard to find parking lot. Otherwise you need to park at the other side othe road. And dont forget that you have to pay before crossing the beach. (They mail bill to your home)
Nice, mostly harrassment free beach, run and bike area. Tons of SUP and wind surfing off shore, bathrooms and vendors. Check out the old bridge for a little fishing with plenty of other locals.
Good old Key Biscayne. Close to home. Pretty beach. Not much parking. Mostly shallow water
Beautiful sunset views, but it does get very busy and parking can be challenging. Nice to have this close by, I will definitely be back.
Nice dog beach with shallow waters! Is narrow and gets busy on the weekend but if you have a dog is a very easy beach to come to.
Very clean water. I recommend this place
This is a great place to go with a friend or on a date. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset or bring your doggies and play or just to read a book. Beautiful ️
Nice beach. Good for family
Very Favorite place off of Miami bay- super clear water and white sandy beaches
Hobie Island Beach was very pretty. The view was breathtaking! A must go destination for everybody! :)
Visited this area at night and was very surprised at how populated the beach was in the evening. Parking was actually pretty easy to find considering it was a holiday weekend. Was able to park close to the sand and enjoy the park a bit. Would definitely recommend securing your vehicle and valuables as it can get pretty dark depending on where you are and may attract vandals. Will likely give this park a visit during the day.
Nice beach,be advise that is a dogs beach. Also is the only public beach with free parking
Great beach! First day it opened. Got there early 11am and there was plenty of parking. Not the same on the weekend.
BEST beach for my doggie! She is small so she doesnt really like waves and at this beach it is so calm so she goes in and has fun and its a no leash so she can be free. It is off the highway so you gotta be careful! But overall great beach! Free parking!!
Great place to take a Dog, nice and clean !!!
What a great place for outdoor fitness activities all year around... cycling jogging and running
Calm beach with lots of parking and a killer view. Family friendly too.
This beach is not well advertised but its not a bad beach! If you want to walk your dog at the beach or do windsurfing, this is the place to be! Theres a lot of parking, theres bathroom facilities, and theres a few food stands if you are hungry. My concern with this beach is theres some seaweed and trash in the water, but not too horrible. The water here is pretty shallow so you can walk out into the sea for many feet and the water still doesnt reach your waist yet.
My dog loved this place! The water level was perfect for him. Hes not too fond of big waves, so he really enjoyed waddling around the water here!A lot of people take their dogs on a walk here. Its a serene little place.
This is a real beach in Miami but really hard to find a parking spot. And there are always full of ppl.
Awesome low key bayside beach! The waves are never big here; great for families with small children
My dog had soo much fun here
Beautiful view of downtown Miami on one side and breathtaking sunsets on the other. Must visit. Try the Rusty Pelican while youre there. Great food and patio.
Nice place to unleash the dog
Great place to take your dogs swimming
Decided to do some fishing on the pier at this location. The fishing itself was not bad, however, the people riding jetskis under the pier knowing people are fishing and not bothering to watch what they are doing is unacceptable. I lost a rod and reel today thanks to some guy tearing through on a jetski, snagging my line, and sending it flying into the water. I will never fish here again.
One of the few dog beach in Miami. Parking is usually full but most of the time you find a little spot to park. I go very often with my dogs, they love it! The best part is that you can go anytime because it doesnt close. You can also bring a grill if you want to cook. There are a lot of coconut trees which is great to get some shade and to tie the dogs if needed although they can be off leash.
Nice beach, not too crowded like other placesgreat for kids!
Its a cool low-key spot to hang out and have a good time. See yaa . . .
Pet Friendly Beach
Nice beach with white sands and plenty of palm trees for shade.
Small beach with clear water. There are families with kids and dogs barbequing. Great for a chill day in a hammock or getting some sun.
Good enough.. as European cant believe that a beach (the best beaches in Florida) are private, God save Europe and the truly freedom that we have there.
It was nice. Its a win for the whole family. We get to go swimming and or go fishing near the brigde.
Good place to look at sunset
Lovely tiny island in the middle of Biscayne bay. Easy access, great swimming and City of Miami beach trash cans. Pets are cool, no buildings!Keep the island clean!!
Such a fun place! Beware, there are no fences, but this is such a fun little beach that is well maintained and so great for pups!
It is awesome, very nice place
Great beach. Love to take my dog here to play. Most people have their dogs off leash so if you don’t like big dogs or are scared I advise you pick a different beach. If you have a big dog make sure you keep them close. Some visitors won’t hesitate to harass and yell at you for your big dog walking up to them. Otherwise great beach. Most people are friendly and the hotdogs are great.
Excellent place to have a nice hearty meal and a great beach to relax.
Perfect beach to hang out with your dog specially for sunset!
This place closed their restrooms and doesnt have showers.
You cant beat the beautiful downtown views of Miami during both the day and evening. Not a great place to go swimming but nice to just sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
Great out the way location which isnt on the tourist pathFree parking and quiet locationA must for quiet peaceful sunbathing and people watching
This is a beautiful park! Great place to walk your dog or ride your bike.
I came here with my brother, and was able to take this awesome picture of the stars!
This place is way easier to park and enjoy but theres not much regulation- rusty beer caps everywhere and dogs not on leashes.
Tried to watch fireworks from here on the 31st with no success. Otherwise the beach is small and not very busy. Nice if you want to relax!
Great public beach, with a great view of downtown Miami. Also a great spot to view the beautiful Miami sunsets.
Beautiful place!
Bring your pets! This beach is one of the few that you can bring your dog
Beautiful place to chill out. Nice beach
Very cute beach
Water Can be dirty and full of seaweed at certain times of the year but the shallow water is perfect for my dog who adores this beach. Plenty of shade for you to relax and the beach is kept clean.
Easy access to road and town. Pleasant beach not crowded during the week.
Abandoned paradise are the words that come to my mind... Shame on Miami Dade County for having this amazing location so filthy and contaminated. Sand and water are being neglected day in and day out... My family an I spent the whole Saturday last week volunteering planting trees and plants to populate the dunes and fight erosion.
Lovely beach park to enjoy the great South Florida sun and weather. There are a wide variety of activities to do including kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, running, walking, and kite surfing.Weekends are very busy with different generations of families grilling food, drinking beer and dancing salsa.Enjoy the beautiful wildlife viewing and people watching.Plenty of metered public parking available. Bathrooms and changing rooms are well equipped and decent. Definitely a great place to visit on Key Biscayne.
It is serene, peaceful and breathtaking!
Love fishing here with the kids, very relaxing and peaceful especially if you on a weekday.
Very nice place. Great for kids, friends, families, dogs and anyone looking for a friendly beach where you can find parking, rentals (kayak, paddle board, etc), bike lane, bathroom and little kiosks where you can buy snacks and soda. Usually clean and warm water. Conveniently located close to a big restaurant as well.
Beautiful place to chill out. Nice beach
Great place to bring your dog just keep them on their leash.
Beautifull peacefull end of the day at the beach with family!!!
Beautiful public beach with many little niches where you can feel a bit more private. Usually kept clean. Great place to run (or stroll) along the the shore.
Love to bring my dog to this beach on the afternoon. Sunsets are beautiful.
Beautiful place to come for a walk, and enjoy the scenery and views in peace. For some reason every time I come here, the beach is infested with fire ants. I can’t lay on this beach, as the ants are always a problem and the water isn’t as clean as south beach. Great for recreational activities, just maybe not sunbathing. Extra star for free parking!
A little more benches next time would be nice.
Always unconsiderate people leaving trash in the sand️
Very nice
I love going to the beach and just relaxing. Watching the Sunset from the beach is the most serenity I can get.
Beautiful view and great for taking pictures
A good beach to relax and is dog friendly.
