Gorgeous building with rich history. Restored lighting, an original organ, and beautiful stairways are just a few things you will be in awe of. The fact that there is not a bad seat in the house and you can hear the performers is just astounding. Definitely a must see if you are in the area.
Nice victorian looking place. To hold weddings or revows. People i chatted with very friendly. An i just stop to get my passport stamped. Lol
It’s a must see and a must feel. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the volunteers have done a amazing job restoring the place. They told me all donations are used for the theatre and your money is a part of their restoration. Sound and lightning was good along with the feel of the theatre. Such a great time to visit the old Coleman Theatre. Highly recommended.
So, as I am about to leave Miami, OK, this person, from across the street, asks me if I want a free tour of the theater. The friendly docent walks me through the entire place – from floor to floor - front row to balcony. The highlight is the Wurlitzer organ and I receive a demonstration of its instrumental range.
Great tour for our group!
Such a beautiful, historic preservation! The staff are very passionate about the facility and thus provide wonderful tours. Moreover, there is haunted Mystery tour available during Halloween that will send shivers down your spine.
Another enjoyable evening at the Coleman Theatre, downtown Miami!
Absolutly Miamis most treasured structure. Built in 1929, it has welcomed thousands of people into its opulent insides. Theater, dance, concerts, movies, community events, weddings...no mater what your need this beauty has something to offer EVERYONE. COME SEE HER MAJESTY, EXPLORE HER HISTORY AND SHOP THE BUSINESSES THAT CALL HER RETAIL SPOTS HOME.
Beautiful well maintained place. Walking in here is like going back in time. I was just in awe how beautiful this place is. Total Class Act
The history of this place is only rivaled by its beauty. Its a must stop. I cant wait to go back and actually watch a play or movie here!
Some historic theaters just feel old. This one still has character and vibrance. It is a fun place to watch a show.
Its always a pleasure to visit the Coleman Theater. It is a wonderful gem, located in Miami, Oklahoma. I feel very fortunate that it is so close to home.
Magnificent, historic, theatre built in 1929. Renovated, immaculate, and a true wonder to visit in Miami, Oklahoma just 1.5 hrs from Tulsa. Contact them for a guided and interesting tour. See the website for details.
Absolutely beautiful and very enriching experience. I have been there for many different types of shows but my favorite is the Silent Movies. So awesome with original music played on the original organ.
Impressive theatre, very friendly staff, worth stopping by when travelling Route 66.
Just attended route 66 rising star concert.Way too long ...3 hrs plus. Performers were for the most part very good. Very disappointed there were not more songs by performers with route 66 history.Flamenco guitarist was good, but did not feel he or his music should have been in this particular program or violin opera pieces from black composers. Violinist was good but it was too much.Did not feel the Jimmie Rodgers/patsy Cline portion was a good fit.The young stars, Jana jae, and torch songs were all cut short....a real shame.Love the theater and my previous choices.
Love the Coleman. Just attended our Grandaughters Christmas program. This coming weekend is Christmas Symphony and the movie.. Its a Wonderful Life. Will be attending both. Merry Christmas
FUNtastic venue for our group tour. The docent was knowledgeable and entertaining enjoying what she does. Before I even got to our evening hotel I had a follow up courtesy message from Danny just thanking us for visiting... hands down recommend as a stop for group travel. Only thing better would have been a performance tagged on to our tour - which was OUR error for not scheduling better.
Coleman is always beautiful but Google got it wrong. I was across the street.
First time visiting this beautiful theater and it was an amazing experience! My wife and I went and saw The Platters, which by the way is a must-see show. it was more than entertaining and well worth every penny and then some! Will definitely be back for the silent movie coming up as well as the Christmas show and more!
Absolutely amazing job by the cast of Steele Magnolias!! Thoroughly enjoyed!! Lee Dell never disappoints!!
Totally amazing! The theater was beautiful and the silent movie was so much fun! Wonderful that the original wurlitzer organ is still there from 1929.
Historical theater restored. A beautiful memory from my youth
Beautiful theater with lots of history. Its a must visit if youre in the area. Even if youre not in the area, its worth the visit!
This is a must see on Route 66. Our timing was bad and we stopped in shortly before they closed for an event, but the extremely friendly folks still did a shortened tour and fired up the pipe organ. Not a lot impresses me anymore, but when the music started pouring out of that Wurlitzer organ I got choked up. The sound is beautiful. Between the music and the theater itself, a visit here is like going back in time. Weve driven past the Coleman 4 or 5 times while going up to Joplin, but wont drive by again without stopping. Highly recommend you dont pass it up either.
The experience was fairly well. I purchased my ticket for an old film for $20, but I didnt know that there were seating arrangements. So, I told the ticketmaster to give me a middle seat so I wouldnt have to strain my neck. The staff is friendly and willing. The only reason why Im giving it four stars is because the bathrooms were kinda cramped. Thats early 20th century architecture for you.
Very beautiful, and very clean. The show my wife and I watched was wonderful and very hilarious, so you know youll be getting some quality entertainment if you go to one of their main productions. Concessions are moderately priced. This place is must if youre in the area, or if you want to experience a little bit of professional theater .
If youre a fan of gorgeous architecture, a must-see.
My wife and I live in Alabama but come to Miami, Oklahoma occasionally to visit family. We took the Coleman Theater tour yesterday as we have done several times in the past. Today we returned and adopted a theater seat in memory of my mother who graduated in the Miami High School class of 1940. She went to the Coleman as a kid so todays donation was to honor her legacy. If you are ever in Miami you have got to stop and see this historic landmark which is located on famous Route 66. It will be time well spent. I guarantee it!
Beautiful place! Great plays! Best value for any venue!
A must see. Beautiful and well kept part of Americas movie theaters that is well worth your time and effort. If you can experience a performance of the Mighty Wurlitzer while there you will see and hear a feast for your senses.
Totally amazing experience. Breathtaking restoration by a volunteer group.Approximately an hour long tour, but worth every second!
Beautiful is all I can say!
Beautiful place to visit! A lot of history about the place
Loved the wonderful theater building; it was such a treat to see it so well preserved. A true treasure! Enjoyed the whole experience.
This theater is absolutely stunning in every detail!
This place is historic and beautiful and well worth the visit.
The history of this movie theater is just so awesome!! It is so beautiful inside!! The movie had great sound and picture. Do much rich history inside this beautifully renovated movie theater. Great experience!!
This is a beautiful theater. It is a wonderful, quick stop.
Beautiful theater....Karen was a wonderful your guide and all in attendance were welcoming!
Passing through on Route 66 and stopped to take a quick picture. They invited me inside, WOW WOW WOW. First, thank you for being so kind to allow me inside. The story behind the restoration is something this community should be proud of having accomplished. This was an undertaking of love for generations to come. I only wish I lived closer so I could see this palace shine during an event. Must see place if you are in town.!!!Thanks for all the wonderful work!
Beautiful theater. Saw Joseph Hall Elvis Tribute Artist.
Beyond words. So old&fasinateting. To look around. Organ. Upstairs so original from past.
Amazing to stand in and look at the history
Our first time, its awesome in side. We watched. SIX they were very good! Would definitely go see again.
The theater was beautiful but unfortunately we had no electricity throughout most of the program, but SIX did an excellent job of making the best of the situation. It was an excellent experience to hear them up close and personal.
Unexpectedly beautiful. Worth the journey.
Soooooo beautiful. Soooooo interesting
Its beautifully kept. The outdoor area is great for taking pictures as well as the interior.
Beautiful local landmark with such a tremendous story to tell.
This has been one of our unexpected favorite stops on route 66. Its a must see and must tour destination. We happened to stop and got a personal tour. The city of Miami is still restoring this grandiose theater to showcase its beauty. All of it is incredible! Chandelier, stained glass lights, Wurlitzer organ, tour backstage, the story of the theater, and much more.
Very good production. My only complaint was that one of the actresses just wasnt talking loud enough so if there time for me to hear. However, our group, the Red Hat Society, was very pleased with everything! Beautiful place!
This is such a beautiful place. Have been here several times and always take visitors. Went to my great nieces Christmas program tonight.
Loved the beautiful theatre and greatPlay
The Coleman is a Beautiful piece of history right in the middle of America. Worth a visit or two and still schedule regular performances. The wonderful and lucky golden lady is still a center piece and the architecture is straight from history. Supposedly the place is haunted which isnt surprising given the buildings history. A must visit
An unbelievable venue for a concert. The Coleman Theater is rich in history and design, it takes you back in time. Big Band Christmas concert was fantastic, very enjoyable.
Good place to here music performance
The stories and the history are AMAZING. And the fact that the town actually keep this GORGEOUS theater alive and active is sweet!!!@
Historic place within a community that supports it. We went to a high school concert that was held there.
I went here with some coworkers during Christmas at The Coleman to watch What A Wonderful Life and the theatre is amazing. Very classy and warm and spacious with comfortable seating. They offer low cost goodies to munch on and warm inviting staff. I recommend this for any showing. And they also do private events.
This was a great Route 66 find. The theater was absolutely beautiful our guide was wonderful even played the Wurlitzer pipe organ for us.She gave us an in-depth tour told us some places to go eat and some other things to see. HIghly recommended stop on Route 66.
Great steak and prime rib!
The history is wonderful and the craftsmanship that went in to the construction is Amazing
Beautiful and amazing place to visit.
This a great place to go to learn about a historical place. It has been restored beautifully and kept up well. Its a great place to tour with children as well. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
Excellent. Good venue for wedding
Love this old school theater! Very nice for how old they are. They are overstaffed though... and the seats are weak but then again it is an old theater.
Beautiful fully restored 90-year-old vaudeville theater
A must see for anyone. Spooky rich history and just . Well. Beautiful. Coleman theatre beautiful. Spooky tours are also coming up soon. Along with the boohaha parade on Halloween
Beautifully restored theater on Hwy 66
It is a beautiful theatre. They have really interesting shows come through. If you cant make a show go for the tour. It truly is a great place.
This place is my favorite thing to do it host everything you want
Beautiful historical gem. Great place for concert.
Saw Gene Watsons last night. He and the Farewell Party band put on a great show.
There are only a few places I have visited all over the USA that will overcome you with the feeling of being in an important, special place. Coleman Theater shares the top of this list. Respect
Its old and they have good movies. Concerts and plays
It is an area landmark in Miami, OK and is on Main Street that is part of Route 66.The building opened in 1920 so its 98 years old and the interior is French Renaissance. Its very classy and elegant. Its a beautiful lady and is well cared for. I was there for a play.
Great staff and we will go again
The history of the Coleman Theater is so rich! This hidden gem is well worth the detour.
Worth a visit and tour. This has a rich history. Its restoration is well underway and done with private contributions and volunteers. The volunteers are knowledgeable, generous, and friendly. This is lush and old-school posh as any theater on Broadway, but with free tours. Its easy to see why its become a must-see on Route 66 tours. Its becoming a regular stop for Europeans doing the Chicago to Santa Monica. It would be a shame to miss this and the Vintage Iron motorcycle museum on any Route 66 tour. Its free. Even if it werent free, it would be worth paying for.Definitely recommend.
This place is a great place to watch a show
Amazing and beautiful.Gene Watson concert was excellent!
I seen a lot of movies at the Coleman as a child and teenager. The building and theater have been beautifully preserved over the years! This is a must-stop whether youre in the area on business, pleasure, or a Route 66 tour!

Very beautiful!!! We had a chance to get a tour of the place. The gentleman who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and super nice. Would highly recommend if doing the route 66 trip!!!!
Such a fun place.
Beautiful!! Thankful that my children all got to be on the stage for one event, performance or another.
Super cool old theater.
