I love this multi-purpose facility which houses both the M Ensemble Theater (The M), South Floridas oldest professional African American Theater Company, and Factory Theater Company. Now at 47 years old, The M is designated as a Major Cultural Institution. The company started on the campus of UM in 1971, by the late T.G. Cooper, and has moved around the city and has been kept through the dedication of Shirley Richardson, and Patricia E. Williams. The M recently won its record number of Carbonell Awards, and is currently preparing to kickoff its season, which is usually four productions per season. I have been attending their productions for years and I have always exchanged with patrons how awesome the productions are. Their audience is both diverse and supporters of the arts. The facility can be rented out for meetings, parties, etc. The location is just a block west of the entrance/exit to I-95, which is great, and there is free covered parking for the theater on the NW 8th Ave., side. Its not what the name of the person Chief Sandrell Rivers had in mind! The culture programs are changing to silly comedies plays! The vendors are of international favor, reducing the black market ! Its amazing assets and people are not reflective, even in working within the complex! Wow!

Impressed that another venue has sprung up in the African American community that offers an opportunity to showcase the Arts & Entertainment!

I was privileged to have one of my plays read here (in conjunction with Fantasy Theatre Factory) and I was really impressed with the quality of this space. Raised seating. Spacious stage. Good sound system. Its a lot better than what we typically see in community theaters. And they seem to be very proactive about scheduling content that is forward-thinking, relevant, and provocative.

This Black Box theater is one of the best, if not the best in South Florida! The M Ensemble play, The Old Soldier was great. Well executed, great costumes and a wonderful response by the audience. Worth seeing again!

My boys and nephews are in the SRT Fantasy Factory Theatre Camp this year (session 1 & 2 of summer 2019) and its been nothing short of amazing. The staff is SUPER and have created an inviting, inclusive, structured yet incredibly fun, and productive atmosphere for our children. The level of communication is superb - they care to understand our children and help find ways to break through to them, so they can grow into their most fabulous theatrical self! My boys have grown in so many ways over the last 6 weeks thanks to theater camp. Im eternally grateful to the staff, you guys are beautiful!Shout outs to Evelyn, Larry, Mr. R, Ms. Sabrina, Rachel, and the rest of the incredible staff at SRT - we adore you guys.

Beautiful 199 seat theater with parking. Home to The M Ensemble company which is the oldest African American company in Florida. Run as Professionally as any Off Broadway theater in NYC! Great shows!

This is a fantastic theater but please dont be discouraged by where it is located. The black box theater and production of deepfakes was fantastic but multiple people told me not to go due to the neighborhood it is in. What is great is that there is free parking and security watching it the building and your car in a connected environment.The black box theater is of fantastic quality and reminds me off off Broadway theaters in NYC. Beautiful lobby and good prices on concessions. I have no complaints once I got to the location but its a bit scary going for the first time dur to the neighborhood it is in. 5 star experience and will be back soon.

The theater is actually new and clean great lightening and speakers. We need more theaters in order our communities to spread love and diversity through culture arts.

Beautiful new building. Staff was very accommodating as we were escorted to an from our car. Private parking garage free of charge. The performance room was nice with excellent lighting and sound. Electric shades cover the windows There is a snack bar, as well..I would definitely return to this lovely venue.

Its located right off I-95. The presentations are interesting, the prices are great. You dont know what youre missing.

We saw a performance today by the Fantacy Theater Factory. It was really good and funny. Oriented more for children, yet me and my teenage son really enjoy it.

Truly a phenomenal theater...clean, state of the art, and a very intimate setting. I recently attended an event featuring Leesa Richards and it was fantastic.

Enjoyable experience I saw a free movie “Moonlight”. Very professionally run Theater!

The theater was small seats about 190 people. It was very nice and staff was friendly.

Great parking, easy access from expressway, and warm, friendly accommodating staff are several reasons why I ove this venue.

I premiered a film here, S.O.O.T. and it is a first rate house!
