Just went and took the concealed carry permit course with my parents. The instructor, Manuel, was excellent. Really patient with us and very knowledgeable about safety and everything related to firearms. We had never shot a pistol before and were a little nervous but he and Sierra put us at easy. Highly highly recommended.They also stay in touch with you by text message which was really nice.

Extremely professional. Top notch one on one training. Both JB and Sierra are knowledgeable, patient and really take their time to teach, answer questions and get you comfortable in safely handling firearms. Wow, did the CCW class today and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I learned more than I expected to regarding firearms, laws, safety, and my responsibility as a gun owner, with great power, comes great responsibility. I experienced great customer service from my first texts, to phone calls, to my class with Sierra. Prepping before the range with our unloaded firearms, and then practicing with a laser was really helpful. Once we got to the range, the nerves kick in, at least mine did. Since everything else was already covered by this point, we were able to address what was directly affecting my ability to shoot on target and literally within 5 shots my aim improved, after being provided with really effective and personalized strategies and tips. Its obvious the people running Top Shot absolutely love what they do, and contributes to the effectiveness of their training. It was really enjoyable. I feel privileged to have begun my training here and look forward to continue doing so. Thanks Sierra, you rocked

Just completed a NRA instructors course. The experience from beginning to end was top notch. JB is such a over qualified instructor but he can relate the information to a level that all of it can be understood and absorbed by anyone no matter what there level of experience coming into the class. The 16 hrs just flew by and Im all ready for another class. There is the old saying you get what you pay for. Well i think i got the better part of the deal because i would have paid more. LOLI cant wait till the next class, i will be a definitely be a repeat student

This was an amazing experience. My wife and I took the Concealed Weapon and Safety course today. This definitely is NOT your basic concealed weapons course. This is an intense 4 hour course which actually turned into almost 5 hours. You discuss real life situations and are asked direct questions pertaining to the circumstances of those situations. This isnt a come to class and pass course. Be alert and pay attention because you will be asked questions and you will be asked to demonstrate what youve learned!. You will also learn some basic psychology behind the firing a of firearm in a hostile situation. JV (owner) and his wife run a A+ rated operation. We are so impressed with JV and his wife Sierra we are now going to get our daughter trained. Im looking forward to the next class I will take as I want to continue the journey and increase my firearm handling knowledge. Simply put...if your serious about your firearm training, as you should be, go to Top Shot Firearms Academy & Gun Club...nothing else comes close!

This class was amazing and thorough. I have taken similar classes twice in the past few decades and this surpasses them 100%. I learned so much more then i expected too. Dont think twice, just take this class! JB was absolutely great. He has a world of knowledge to share with you. I was completely nervous when I first started this class and I left here with so much confidence. JB will provide you with real life scenarios and make you think about what to do in each situation. You think youll have the right answer but you probably wont. But it doesnt matter because hell explain in detail for you to comprehend everything. Theres so much information to learn that 4 hours goes by so quickly you wont even notice the time.I really enjoyed the part of the course where you learn to load the firearms. Youll learn a song that help you memorize the whole process and luckily for me there was a second person in the class that recorded the process on my phone so I can always look at it for reference.If you are trying to decide, just take this course! Yesterday we took a 4 hour, private, family class with JB. He has a very professional, engaging and entertaining teaching style. He kept my teen children’s attention which is not easy in this digital world. The class was straightforward and informational. We learned practical, real-world techniques. We were challenged mentally and physically. By the end of the session at the gun range, we were exhausted. Now that we are Top Shot certified, JB is available to us for any questions or advice we may have. This is not the class for you if you are not 100% serious about firearm use.

J.B. is an excellent instructor! Very professional and highly knowledgeable, he answered every question in detail and made sure I understood the importance of handling a firearm safely . I definitely recommend his course to everyone.

Today I received a class...best definition a Conference from JB about a conceal firearm license, from A to Z, I learned a lot and now I am more secure about the responsibilities i am taking when carry a firearm and the right moment to use it if required. I recommend this experience 100%, no rush, using dummy firearm and real with blanks practicing from how to handle a firearm to load and unload, aiming, and firearm SAFETY is always present. First, you go to the academy and learn all the basics about gun laws in Florida and take a test at the end of a slideshow. You then go together to an indoor shooting range. I took the CCW class that they offer and was more than completely satisfied with the level of professionalism, knowledge, and real life situational experience shared with and imparted to me. Even though I already had some background experience with firearms, I learned alot from their class and came out a better person because of it. JB is an exceptional instructor and I am fortunate to have been educated by someone that not only is NRA liscenced and proficient in firearm use and safety, but most importantly(in my opinion) passionately driven about it. Its as plain as daylight that he cares. I can honestly say, without a shred of doubt whatsoever, that I now know how to properly handle a firearm safely.

While looking for a reputable organization to help me obtain a Concealed Carry permit I came across Top Shot Firearms Academy and I happy to say Im glad I made the choice to go with them. Less than 24 hours after filling out their online form I received a text from the staff. After answering a few simple questions, I was provided with two options; Advanced and Basic (give them a call to explain the differences). Then I was sent a link to pay for the course, provided a copy of my license and I was all set. Very simple and streamlined process. After, I made my payment I was registered and given options on days to take the course. The day of the course I was given a courtesy text to remind of the course and the start time. The course start time was 9 AM, upon arriving, I was greeted in a very kind and professional manner. The place was very clean and organized ( IMO very good sign of what was to come). I was provided with two short forms to read and sign. At start time (On Time) the Instructor showed up, introduced himself pulled up a chair and we began to talk, primarily about what brought me there and who I was, very chill and relaxed.The course was informal, informative and thought provoking. Firearm ownership is so much more than point and shoot. In addition to the scenarios and stories there was dialogue about situations and government policy. The one thing that the instructor hammered home was SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY! He was very cool and down to earth but it was always safety first. Midway through the course we had some hands on training with rubber firearms before moving on to the real thing. We covered, holding the firearm, stance, sighting, loading/unloading etc...After the classroom portion was over we headed over to the firing range to shoot our shots. During our time at the range I had a staff member by my side providing advice and giving direction the entire time. About an hour after the course concluded I received a text message asking how things went and photos of me at the shooting range ( I had no idea they took them) Top Shot is top notch. I was so impressed, Ill be sending my wife to the course. Awesome setup and delivery!!!!!

Wow! Is all I can Say! I chose this class for my concealed weapons certification, and just from the beginning I could Tell we were in for a great time! The Instructor (JB) was completely amazing in teaching everything hands on. JB tested us from the beginning til the end! I learned So much within those 4hours. Took a fantastic course with JB and Sierra today for Concealed weapons Permit and NRA basic pistol. JB is a phenomenal instructor. The detail, candor and depth of his material is fantastic. His coaching during the actual shooting made a huge difference. Helpful suggestion and tight feedback were adroitly combined with encouraging feedback. I could see the improvement shot by shot. JBs patience and detailed ability to dissect thought, movement, grip and trigger pull greatly eased qualifying. This was a class worth every penny and I am supremely confident of bringing my wife and daughter in soon.

We took this pistol class for the first time ever. It was also our first time shooting or even holding a gun. We can say that after taking this class we feel more confident about defending ourselves. The instructor takes a lot of time to teach the students how to hold and fire an arm. Very interested in teaching the safety of them too. He teaches you what you should or shouldnt do in a self defense situation. He will listen and answer questions you may have. Best of the best I took this class for my ccw with no experience or ever shooting a firearm JB and Sierra help me out and went over everything I needed to know, they were patient with me and were one on one, I was nervous at first but that soon after left when JB started talking to me about the firearm safety and the steps I needed to take to keep my self and the people around me safe. He gave me scenarios and we went through them and he gave alot of input to make me rethink how i would handle certain situations over all and covered the laws then had a blast (no pun intended) going to the range, you really do pay for quality and it really shows here, these guys are amazing stop looking for that school because its right here.

This place gives great classes. Instructor Byron and Coach Sierra were awesome. Very knowledgeable in the field of firearms. I like how we talked a lot about scenarios and legality subjects. It was about 4 hours of great info. If you want to get your concealed Lic. Certification this is where to go.

After the class my wife felt so much more comfortable about our decision to carry. The instructors were so helpful and went above and beyond in teaching and answering all of our questions. I have taken the conceal training before and this is nigh and day difference. Thank you JB for creating what I believe to be the best gun training program around.

Top shot is prefect for beginners! JB is very knowledgeable about the laws and how to handle guns correctly. For example, I know how to shot guns before this course but after JB show me the correct way, I realized the way I handle it was not proper. Sierra is super nice and helpful also. This course by far exceeded expectations. I took the course to basically learn gun safety. Not only did the course cover this our instructors covered topics from moral compass, who should and shouldn’t carry or own a gun where owning a gun can do more harm than good for some people to laws and a mass array of real life scenarios of someone with a CWW permit will face and how to handle each one to even how to protect yourself and your rights should you ever have to use your weapon. It was amazing all the critical situations that you may be faced with and never have thought about and how each should be handled during and after. This is not a business that is passing out certifications to be financially successful, Top Shot Miami has created a class to promote gun safety, and a class that prioritizes their students gaining knowledge on how to protect themselves and their families and ultimately save lives.

5 stars come up short when it comes to rating this academy. The preparation, determination, and excellence of the class went above my expectations. Not only did I learn about the laws and how to hold a gun but I got to practice before the shooting test. The class is taught by a black belt in mixed martial arts, with that you already know that this instructor is very well rounded; which is what I wanted. Class was very informative and interactive, you wont find another academy like this one. I will be definitely keep on signing up to their classes.

Very good class. In depth review of laws and safety. JB uses alot of reinforcement and scenarios to be sure you understand the material. Another benefit is the interactive portion where you can apply lessons learned.Would highly recommend.

This is the third time I take this class, but the first one I feel totally ready. These guys are awesome. Very interactive class with practice included. Highly recommended!

JP is a great instructor, he will help make you a better shooter, I definitely recommend.

I have trouble with loud sounds and also have hearing issues so I had a bit of a panic attack when we got to the indoor range. I was not as prepared as I thought I would be and was so jolted that I began to cry (from anxiety) and I just wanted to leave. I am not a crier, so this was even shocking behavior for me. The instructors did not let me give up, they were so patient and understanding even though I was embarrassed by my own behavior. They gave me extra ear muffs and let me sit inside and just listen to the shots until I became calm. They taught me to breathe through it, to take my time and did not rush me or make me feel stupid. I would highly recommend Top Shot Miami to literally anyone, even the most fearful or anxious person. I got my certificate, thanks to them, and am going back to practice more until I am truly comfortable handling and loading a firearm.

Absolutely loved this course. I am a US Army veteran and took this course with my wife. As an expierenced and expert marksman I learned a lot in this class from The laws, to self defense as well as proper handling techniques. I recommend this course for beginners to expert marksman. He covers it all and they don’t hold back on the hands arm training. They allow multiple laser shooting with the same firearms you qualify with As well as allow you to use as many live rounds as you need to qualify.

The course was awesome! Instructor JBs professionalism and expertise is beyond words. He was extremely helpful and supportive from beginning to end. I found the entire instruction highly informative, fun and interactive.

I would recommend this place to my family and friends will extreme confidence.I took a conceal’s weapon training at a gun range. The training took 45 minutes. I received my certificate but I was left with so many questions including whether I should carry or not.Top Shot Miami was the total opposite. Our instructor JB made the class so interactive And educational with real life examples and situations that I can now say I am so much more confident in carrying.This is exactly what I needed and much more.Thank you

The concealed weapons class was very well structured with plenty of hands on and interactive activities including range time. The instructors were eloquent, helpful and willing to answer questions along the way. Great family friendly environment. Overall an awesome experience!

Today my wife and I attended the Concealed Weapons class at Top Shot.We were very impressed! The class content was very thorough and so much more than we asked for. JB is extremely knowledgeable and made the class interesting and interactive. My wife was pretty nervous when we started out this morning but by the time we finished for the day, she felt excited about the next steps. The level of expertise of JB, the hands on experience and one on one coaching he gave us and his patience were all a huge plus for us. We recommend Top Shot to anyone who is interested in the Real Deal and not just a quick and easy way to get your concealed license.

I took the license to carry conceal weapons course with Top Shot! Ive had training and carried conceal fire arms in previous states, but I definitely walked away from Top Shot with a new respect for the conceal way of life! The instructor(JB) was very knowledgeable and dedicated pertaining to effectively relaying information. I walked away from the class with not just the certificate but a great experience. Im planning to take additional classes plus would recommend this course to anyone seeking to obtain the conceal to carry license.

Great place and instructor. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn more about self defense & conceal weapon permit. I was always scared to go to the range before, but now feel a lot more comfortable after taking my class.

I took the concealed weapons class with minimum prior shooting experience and left feeling confident and knowledgeable about my rights and duties as an armed citizen. Overall, it was a great course with a well prepared NRA instructor, Javill Byron, who covers all the details and is prepared to answer any and all questions you have in order to feel comfortable calling yourself a Top Shot graduate.

One of the most fun classes I have ever taken. Instructors are knowledgeable and can transmit the information well. Self defense along with firearms training; very thorough.

I highly recommend this course with Prof. JB. He is knowledgable, experienced amongst the experts and makes it interesting and fun to learn. The course exceeded my expectations and excellent for all levels if training.

What an amazing experience it was to take the concealed weapon class at topshot. The instructor JB, is truly experienced and knowledgeable. He made the class so much fun. I thought I knew a lot before I went into the class only to realize as the class went on that I knew very little. He goes over the gun and how it works, the laws, and everything you need. I highly recommend TopShot Miami.

I highly recommend this place for shooters of all experience levels. Their CCW class is very informative and well taught.

Everything about this class, was great! JB made the class so easy to learn and understand. I was so nervous to shoot for the first time. But, everything I learned in the class and before the range, really helped me. I am now addicted!

Took the concealed permit class, great instructor, teaches you the basic importance of handling guns, uses scenarios, not rushed, learned a lot, probably going to take another course soon

This is hands down the best class you can ever take when it comes to gun safety and overall knowledge. I took a 9am womens only certification course. The staff and instructor are incredibly nice. And the course is great, I have gone shooting before and had never hit a target. You will be hitting the bulls eye every single time after this course. Time flys by, and instructor is very funny... uses alot of different real life scenarios. You dont have to bring anything either, just a license... they provide everything and you get to keep your goggles after. Andddd they teach some self defense stuff too. Overall it was an absolute incredible experience. Highhhhlyyyy recommend this place. A+
