Picnic Park West

Great park to relax and spend some time. Walking track with park benches. Especially good if you have children as it has a playground with swings and slides.

This little park is beautiful! It is by a nice lake and surrounded by a cute neighborhood. It is always clean and has a lot of activities you can partake of, like the Parcourse Stations, which are spread all around the park, with exercise machines. Also if you are a little more hardcore, by the basketball court (its a half a court actually) there is another exercise area with machines and very specific exercise routines (see photos).There are 2 large party kiosks, the kiosks have 2-3 grills each. and lots of picnic areas under large trees with lots of shade, that have picnic tables. There is a large covered playground for the kids and an uncovered area with swings. Very popular in the evenings.The restrooms are super clean, and can you believe it.... They actually smell good!! Go City of Miami Lakes ;)I love walking around this park, people are very friendly and courteous, the park is maintained very well, no pets allowed inside of the park but there is a sidewalk around the perimeter and it even has doggie poop bags and trash cans, so you can bring Fido with you.If you havent been here, come check it out soon, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a nice afternoon with the family.

Always loved this park. They have a very modern playground. The facilities are closed now due to covid but picnics are still an option.

The park is not pet friendly which is very disappointing. It is a beautiful place with plenty of activity options for the whole family excluding the family Dog.

A great little park in the center of Miami Lakes! They have a great covered playground for kids, with a cushioned ground. They have a wonderful night lit walking/jogging course that spans a mile, and all in the shade. They even have birthday pavilions. Theres also plenty of parking.

Lovely atmosphere with a nice local farmers market every Saturday afternoon. Playcrounds and picnic area for families to celebrate and comemorate special occasions, a large track to walk and run, plenty of outdoor work outequiptment and public transportation that leads to a place that holds monthly events for the community.

Great park, conveniently located right next door to the Miami Lakes Scout Shop and Scouts BSA South Florida Council. The park has a nice shady play area with swings, walking paths, grass and trees are manicured and maintained, and throughout the autumn and spring there is a great little farmers market! Some of the fun exercise equipment along the paths needs a little tlc and maintenance, but overall, highly recommended!

Always kept clean mostly by the Town of Miami Lakes as well as good samaritans that pass on occasion

Picnic Park West is a great park with a nice trail and exercise stations along the path.It also has a good play structure and swings for kids too.Plenty of parking spaces.

Its a popular park for farmers market and movies at the park and food & wine festivals. it is passive park meaning good for picnics, working out but not set up for sports games. It is well lit for evening walks and well maintained. Lacks parking for some of the events mentioned.

This park is truly beautiful, clean and is all family friendly. Every month they have many events from farmers market every Saturday to an Easter event. All events the park hold are all free to the community!!! My family and I have so many great memories.

Its a beautiful Park, its clean its very nice and the atmosphere there is a fresh air try it with your family and loved ones have a beautiful picnic there I go there for exercise Walk and Run.

It is the perfect place for an impromptu picnic. Very clean and well kept and huge and the vegetation is perfect for shading and cooling off. The grass is so perfect and green and healthy that is looks plastic. The twins enjoy running around and playing with bubbles. Love love love this park!!

Nice park, has some equipment to exercise good path. They often do a weekend farmer style market stuff. But cant bring your pets.

This seems like a nice wholesome family park with a jungle gym and swings for the kids and various benches and plenty of shade. An added bonus is the small farmers market held on Saturdays in spring. I plan on going back next week to get some beautiful orchids there.

Great place for family with free parking lot: bday party and alike with reservation, perfect for outdoor physical exercise like walking for young & adults and some mechanical apps, including a good playground for children. Very clean and organize.

Beautiful park with plenty of open space as well as dedicated play and exercise areas. We were there for the Ice Cream Social which was a nice family fun event.

Very nice events this weekend at the park and weather was perfect. Enjoyed Movies at the Park on Friday and a concert on Saturday - jazz singer Nicole Henry. It wouldve been nice if I could have brought my dog to the event but they are not allowed.

Great public space. The lawn is always well-kept and the atmosphere is family friendly.

I live right down the street & this is one of my favorite places to go to. During the holidays they always do special events with vendors, concerts, games for kids. Its a welcoming environment for all ages. Super clean to have a nice picnic. Lots of shade from the trees & grass. Great place to work out. Playground for kids. You can rent out canopy spaces for bday parties, babyshowers, etc. There is a basketball court. And groups that excercise together out there all the time. Definitely recommend if your looking for a great park.

We are here multiple days a week for different child sports and also stay for the playground. It is always clean and well manicured. Great activities all the time and friendly people

The park is very clean and open. Treea provide very nice shade around yhe edge of the park. The park also has multiple exercise stations, half of a basketball court and two canopies that can be rented out for birthday and special events

Great little park that I attended a birthday party at. 2 pavilions for rent plus very modern and clean restroom facilities along with a playground and walking /jogging path around the perimeter of the park.

Great place to take children if all ages. I live the space and safety the park holds. The playground is a little basic and old but other then that the park.is perfect. I go there so at every week and have never seen trash or gross behavior. One of the best things about the bark is the nice and quiet surroundings it is an amazing place to go and hangout or have a picnic with the whole family I definitely recommend it for birthdays or any other things the quality is endless.

Went to this park for a friends baby shower. It’s a nice small park, the shelters have good shade because of the trees, for events it’s good cause people won’t always have the sun on them. Looking forward to going to it some time soon

This is a great park I like to frequent. The playground is a nice place I like to bring my son to play. At night, the walking path is very well lit and very popular with the locals looking for a relaxing walk or stroll. There workout stations all along the path, as well as a half court to play basketball. It may be a small park, but it has a lot of charm. There are many weekend birthday parties held in the rentable shelters that encircle the walking path. On Saturdays, there is even a little outdoor market where you can buy many things such as flavored popcorn or home style arepas. This is also a popular park for the local Pokemon Go community. Multiple pokestops and four gyms for you and your friends to attack make this a go to spot for the local Pokemon Go community during the monthly community days held in game.

Good park with trees and grass. I didnt see any raccoons or alligators. I assume the park is safe for children.

Beautiful park, very open and spacious, its not crowded, plenty of parking and area where its situated is vert nice. Theres several covered picnic shelter, baskeball court, 2 play area, and a walking/running path.

The playground could use a facelift but it is still functionable & my son still loves it. He is 8 now & has been coming here since he was 2. I wish they would cover the swings because they are usually too hot to touch. The park is great, its really big with a great walking path all the way around & theres basketball & excersise stations as well. It is also very clean & nicely maintained.
