An amazing experience. Spent several hours enjoying the art pieces, the people in attendance, the food as well. The overall experience was one I can’t wait to share again. South Florida is filled with so much to do and this is a perfect event for those who love the arts and experiencing beautiful adventures.

Great place to see and adquiere modern and contemporary art. If youd like to take a detailed view of the whole place you need more than one day. The talks are also recommended to attend. Most of the world best-known galleries exhibit there. There is places to get food inside but the selection is limited, only at the VIP area there is a nice restaurant run by the famous chef Michele Bernstein. This is the biggest event that happens in Miami once a year. If you are a local or a visitor and you are here on December, you cant miss to visit the convention center during Art Basel!

To be honest I felt that most of the art wasn’t very good, and virtually none of it was as good as the people watching. Still, Art Basel is a blast. You see a ton of art, the sheer quantity is incredible, and it’s a total scene. It’s a great way to get an overview of what’s going on in contemporary art. Also you get to drink champagne while you are doing it, and who can argue with that?

Amazing art! Shotgun shell art from an artist @Karlsocal on Instagram. Basel now has allot of great food options inside, great talk panels and bathrooms in every corner. Admission is going up every year, they should do what Cochella does and make it 2 weeks.

The many different pieces from all around the world was refreshing to see as many people from these places came together to enjoy art. It was fun and eye-catching, all the creative ways the people behind the building placed the art. However, I did feel a bit claustrophobic because of the lack of space. There was a bit too much art in one area and it was almost impossible to get around without bumping into someone in some places. I do think that it was worth it, though, for all the creativity definitely paid off and made the Art Basel a world of its own.

What is there to say that hasnt been said about Art Basel? One of the largest and most prominent art events in the World, located right up the street from some of the most iconic Art Deco architecture and right on Americas favorite beach? Its amazing!Tickets are reasonably priced, the parking is really easy, and there are even affordable hotels nearby, so it can really fit into anyones budget.

You come here for the art, but looking at everyone else around you drinking champagne and sipping extra expensive coffee is just a delight as wellThose little Ruinart champagne carts are just to die for. Too bad Im a cheap date and one flute would have sufficed to knock me down!

The mecca of art lovers and a world class marketplace for the most prestigious galleries in the world. While more expensive than any Miami museum, it gives you More bang for your buck than all of them put together. And... a banana taped to the wall too

Art Basel finds a way to out do itself each and every event. I highly recommend this event to every level of art lover. Be they critic, collector, or simple admirers. Family and four legged friendly, this event offers something for everyone. The selection of foods and drinks the convention had to offer easily can satisfy all dietary needs. The art work is expertly curated with live performance art, traditional pieces, as well as all manner of new media to gawk at. I look forward to returning next year!

Went without really knowing much about it but loved it. Much more interesting than art museums in my opinion. The contemporary art really ranged from weird to classic and was a good mix. They also had lots of food on site but a lot of it was very expensive. They had some cheaper options like empanadas though so you dont have to completely break the bank. A wine and champagne cart also rolled throughout the displays so drink wasnt prohibited which was a nice touch. Keep in mind if you still youre probably buying tho.

By far, the most comprehensive and bountiful contemporary/modern art fair Ive visited in the U.S., its also great for people-gawking. Once inside, you are surrounded by trophy wives, coiffed kids, waves of silver hair and the occasional celeb. Take the time to plan your route for wading through spotlit galleries boasting top artists and museum quality works. The VIP lounge is dotted with live orchids and a variety of seats. Sparkling wine, coffee and replenished platters of antipasto justify the extra fee for those who get hangry. The fair can be crowded and tiring and awe-inspiring. Definitely bring a friend.

Basel week is a lot of fun. Expect crowded hotels and busy restaurants in Miami. Expect slow traffic. But the art programs on the beach and now in Wynwood are excellent.

This was my first time, even though I have been trying to go for years. I went to four of the shows, Prizm, Untitled, No Commission and the main show. They were all very different but worth seeing on their own merit. The parties are fun but the art is the main attraction. Start early and plan to go to the main show on multiple days as it is huge. This year there was the Miami Design show at the same time which added to the experience.

I always go to Art Basel. Every year is different depending on the selection on the Galleries. This year I have seen a very good Tom Wessellman, several paintings by Picasso, another by Roy Lichtenstein and good scultures. It was a good selection.

Art Basel is the move. This fair & the fairs surrounding it are nice. Pick one you can afford and go see the art.The events outside of the art fairs are well...marketing events. Theyre not equal to Art Basel.Theres so much art to be consumed in one place in Miami during this one week in December. Even if you dont have the secured bag to collect artworks...its aspirational. You can aspire to collect, curate, connect, collage.

Clearly, the most important art show in the United States. As it has spawned a dozen other shows that happen in the same area at the same time, we go for 4 nights and start at Art Miami the night before Art Basel opens. Dale needs to go to all the shows and see everything. I prefer to spend all my time at Art Basel where I get to see everyone I know who comes to Miami for the shows. Over the time Im there, I add myself onto a ton of curator walks through the show which makes it particular interesting. Its amazing what a different take you get about the same galleries and works of art from different professionals.

Ive been going to the convention center show since it came to Miami Beach. The exhibition is always a highlight of my year. BUT, sadly the common people like me may not be able to afford the show shortly - the ticket prices have risen dramatically. I guess they are trying to keep out the riff raff who would never buy anything.
