Great atmosphere. The owner designed this establishment with obvious thought to the enjoyment of the customer. Unfortunately, the same is not true of the management of the restaurant. First, a restaurant that doesnt accept cash! Absolute poor judgment of management. Cannot be Covid related, as the bartender was happy to accept my credit card and hold it until my tab was completed. Then no servers, a line to order food and drinks which quickly overwhelmed the single bar tender. Felt horrible for her, she was hustling but it left each customer with a disappointed service. This mind you was during the height of college football Saturday afternoon and also during the busiest shopping Saturday of the year after Black Friday, so the fact that this establishment is located in one of the busiest shopping areas in the city. Just overall poor management of what could otherwise be a great, enjoyable place.

I’m only giving a two star rating for the lone bartender’s service and the big TVs. The last time we were here was about one year ago during the start of football season. We haven’t been back because of our prior experience of poor service and poor food. We decided to try it out tonight because the Seahawks were playing and their TVs are awesome! We arrive and see the signs at the hostess stand that say “please seat yourself” and “order food and drinks at the bar.” We get a table without a problem about 20 minutes before the game. The bartender served dozens of guests ordering food and drinks from the bar. There were tables of up to 8 people and the dining area in the lower section of the bar was full, approximately 40 people, by the start of the game. This is an extremely poor concept for a restaurant of this size, even with COVID being present. After standing in line for 10 minutes for a beer, I asked the bartender why there wasn’t another bartender helping him. He said it’s only busy because the Seahawks are playing and management must’ve overlooked the game... This is unacceptable. Another man, maybe the bartender from the bowling alley or the manager, comes to the restaurant bar and pours a shot for a guest who wasn’t in line. The employee takes the guest’s payment and leaves the line of guests who are waiting to order. It’s odd that the manager isn’t helping the bartender serve guests and get through the line quicker. Our first food dish arrives in maybe 10 minutes, which is great. We ordered spinach artichoke dip. It came lukewarm and was cold in the middle. When I asked the employee who delivered it to warm it up, she brought a new one that was the same temperature. The spinach artichoke dip tasted great but the fact that it was cold was disappointing. We also ordered a pizza. The bartender let me know when I ordered the specialty pizza with several toppings that it would end up being a $40 pizza because he has to enter each $1.50-$2.50 topping in when placing the order. That is beyond ridiculous! I’m thankful he told us it would end up costing that amount because $40 for a pizza is absurd. We ordered a personalized pizza with 4 toppings, which ended up being $30. It arrived hot but it was not good. The crust was very greasy; you needed a fork to eat it if you didn’t want your hand dripping with grease. We were fed up by this point to complain about the food again. It’s unfortunate Big Al’s isn’t operating with better management. This place has great potential with the atmosphere (big TVs, comfortable seating) and one dedicated employee - the bartender, Richie!

Every time we come to Big Als, we all have a great time. Large venue, multiple floors of fun activities. Food is good, drinks are good, staff are excellent and friendly. There is a great secluded private bowling area for birthdays or special occasions. There is a large sports restaurant area too. Plenty to do and get lost in.

Cool ambiance at the restaurant/bar and thats really all its got going for it on that side of things. This is not for the bowling and arcade areas as I didnt spend time there. I know COVID is a weird time. But making people go to the bar to order at a seated restaurant, (about 10 minute line to order) is both strange, and terrible from a service standpoint. The food was average or a little below. Not hot, a little undercooked on the burger. But a ten minute line and not much in the way of service makes you decide not to search out staff to fix the problem. Also of note is the bar area was filthy. Glass stacked as full as possible in the sink. Water and liquids all over. Out of pint glasses. But they did fill a mug for the same price. Have been before with middle of the road feelings after. This time I left thinking itll be a long time before I go again if ever.

Service was pretty non existent. Pressed the service button several times while bowling and never came. If they cancelled it because of covid, I saw no signs indicating it. We were on the waitlist for a bowling lane for over 3 hours after being given an estimated wait of an hour and a half. 30 minutes before closing we asked the employee if we could still bowl since it was close to closing and she said they couldn’t sell any more lanes. We waited for 3 hours to not even be able to bowl with no apology from employee.

Please can someone explain to me why the prices are so much... and I dont mean just a little high priced.. I mean ridiculously high. You are driving away customers by charging 9 dollars for a shot of Jack. I hate greed. And this place is the definition of greed. Im a veteran. Couldnt even get a discount because it was the wrong time of day. The owner should be ashamed.

Why not take orders at the tables? At a busy time we could easily wait 30 minutes in line to order a couple drinks or refills of soda. Also, why not let family groups sit together at the bar? There is no risk in that.

Unfortunately a very unpleasant experience. First we arrive on a calm quiet evening to bowl with our family and they tell us it will be minimum of a one hour wait, so we reserve our spot and go to the Sports Bar and Grill. You have to go up to the Bar and order to get dinner for your family and there is a line of over 15 people with one person taking orders. Unacceptable customer service! We live close, but for now on will travel a little farther and go somewhere that can provide a much better and expected experience like Wahooz.

Pretty fun place and the food was really good. I took a star away due to some of the games that were broken but still took money. When I brought it up to one of the workers I was told the technician to fix the machines was not in and money could not be reloaded onto the card. I did suggest to turn the machines off but it was just a smile back to me. Only lost a couple dollars but it kinda felt like a scam as there were multiple people attempting to use the games after I did so that builds up quick for a business. There were 3 games that I can remember taking my money but broken or had broken aspects so it could not be played correctly.

Cant leave another review, not that I would change my rating. Went again with friends, this time the upstairs bar and arcade. Handsanitizer everywhere. In the upstairs bar some items were missing, bartender Grant went above and beyond by going downstairs to get what was missing to make sure my friends drinks were correct instead of telling her to order something else. With the new distancing protocol, I do not notice a delay or any problems with the service. He has been one of our bartenders downstairs and up and has always made sure to welcome us and provide great service.

Looks like a fun place bowling, video games and a sports bar and regular bar. The thing I saw that made me nervous so I didnt go bowling ... The bowling balls were not wiped down after being used just returned to the racks from the alley. A notice on my phone said that bowling was on top of the list as a place to get the COVID-19 virus. That would be a good reason why. Couldnt see what happened to the returned shoes. Also the mens restroom upstairs had no soap or hand sanitizer available. Plus side the chicken strips, nachos, tater tots, beers, soda and pizza was pretty good. But as the place got crowded less social distancing was in practice.

Not sure why the waitress did that . I wont mention that my girlfriend is Hispanic and speaks with an accent. There is no logical reason why the waitress would do that. To management (restaurant and bowling) - Noticeably understaffed and poorly trained. We had 12 for lunch today waited +25 min and no one even said hello or brought water. Two things – 1. A low unemployment rate is no excuse for poor training and customer service (half the employees were rude or confused). 2. Explain how tips work to your employees. A table of 12 will tip generously given the size and commitment. As a manager it is your duty to provide your teams with the tools, support and direction to proudly and confidently provide a service or product.

Then when we were bowling we first had to switch lanes because the bumpers weren’t working and then on our new lane we had to multiple times manually input our scores. My husband didn’t even get to play his 10th frame on the last game. It just shut off. I have never been bowling anywhere when it was this bad. Especially for the price this should not have been an experience like this. If this place doesn’t get better there is no way it will survive.
