Village Cinema is 15 screens in every auditorium movie theater which also has two 60-foot Giant Screens with Dolby Atmos sound. VIP seating, reserved seating and full service from the Backstage Bistro are among many amenities that they offered. There is Film Chandelier on the second floor of the theater which is made by Filip Vogelpohl. There are several art pieces on the wall of the theater represents Hollywood. I used to go there with my friends on weekends to catch a show.
Dave Costall (not sure about the spelling) was awesome!! He was more than helpful with our group getting tickets together. He was also helpful when we made a mistake and purchased online for the wrong time. Your kindness and patience is appreciated. Thank you, Dave!!
We had an amazing day planned out and the Village Cinema did not perform as advertised. I would love to leave a 5star review because the place is beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the movie was great! However, I missed the beginning and commercials due to an error with the projector light. I had to exit the theater after showing up an hour early to enjoy some VIP beverages to let the staff know their movie was not working normally.I left the theater to get some water and was forced into placing our tab onto my card which should have been split amongst my group. The staff member worked with me and apologized a bunch, saying he would talk with management. He was not able to get anything worked out. They forced this poor hourly to deal with the issue and that was very unfair. Seemingly, the manager, was standing right there, clearly informed of the dissatisfaction, and presided to stare me down for a couple of minutes before exiting the scene. No communication/apology. I paid and tried to cause no issues, giving the employee a 50$ tip. He was great! Sadly, management did not care. The employee hustled for his guests, running, cleaning, and gave us great care. Management dropped the ball and did us a disservice. Every guest in that theater was upset and deserved something nice to be done for them. Thanks for the time!
2020 and they are open for business. Get in there and see a movie to support them. Very clean and only 6 people in theater. Okay they could have better movies but thats it to Hollywood to release them.
When I was at this theater a few years ago. It was one of the snaziest most beautiful theaters I ever seen and been to. Would recommend viewing a movie from there. After movie is over you see a beautiful water fountain with exquisite stores. It a great atmosphere.
My wife and I love this place. The only theater we ever go to. finally back to the theater!! after all this covid nonsense. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Great drinks, great food, and always clean.
Was waiting in line. Got to the counter and the customer service sales man. Tells us we have to buy tickets online because comcast went down. We step aside, looking up Fandango. The next group of people behind us. Go up to him, he tries to help them. He says there is no way he can take payment and lets them go in for free. Then he helps another couple, and hell if I know, maybe let them in free also? Old man should be fired trying to call me a liar. Then he changes it to I let one in free.
Extremely cozy seats and accommodate staff. Perfect size theaters so the screen isn’t half a mile from you.
Great place to see a movie, but you sure do pay for it.
Watched a good movie here on a date while it was still mostly empty from corona and got my first kiss here. Hell yeah.
Best theater in the Treasure Valley, amazing atmosphere, cheap prices, and good theater seats.
Best place in Boise to watch a movie. Love the VIP lounge
Very clean. Well planned for social distancing. Great friendly staff.
Amazing movie theater! Comfy electric recliners for the seating!
Nice and clean theater with friendly staff.
We love going here as a family!
Great movie theater with extremely comfortable seats. I was impressed by their cleanliness of both the theater and their bathrooms. My only complaint was thats the sound (while exceptional) was bordering on almost intolerable for its volume.
Great place to watch a movie in meridian, Great seating, very friendly workers, and very very clean theatre. The experience is great for the family and you don’t have to worry about getting there early if you get tickets ahead of time so to the assigned seating. Great job to all at the Village Theatre!!!
I love this place for our guys night out events. We take advantage of the upper food and drink section to allow for a wide variety of food and drink options while watching the movie. The service is very good and the food is good considering the situation and convenience.
Whether youre in the 21+ VIP seats or the reclining seats in the general admission area. I dont wince nearly as much when I pay for a movie ticket here. The admission prices are on par with the the rest of the theaters but the experience is much better. More bang for the buck I guess would be the best way to describe it. Lost one star with the new menu in VIP, a bit too elaborate to eat when your watching a movie in the dark. Im good with fries and chicken strips. Not wanting to mess with an elaborately topped burger (although very good) or other item.
Park way to far away. Who ever designed the show room we were in #1, needs help. The highest seating might be close to mid screen. The VIP seats were at the correct height. The vip costs more and is reserved for idiots that stink up the place with food and alcohol smell. Today we did not have that but two times the grill smoke was so strong my eyes were burning, ruined the flick for me. If you are going to design seating with food do it! Not a combo of non food and food. I will not be coming back to this theater.
This is a very nice movie theater. The seats are so comfortable! Some even extend your legs, like a recliner! Some have swing out tables to put drinks and snacks on. Very nice!
Love the Village Cinemas. Best movie theaters in Boise. Since I went last they have installed new seating with reclining seats and small food trays. They are great. They make the movie experience even better. I love that that they have a VIP section where they will bring you food and drink. I think my only complaint would be with the concessions. They seem to be a bit pricier than others, and I dont think there selection is all that great. I would also like to see a station where you can add extra butter and flavored salts to your popcorn. But that is a minor complaint. Great theaters overall.
I refuse, at this point, to go anywhere else. VIP 21 offers everything you could want as an adult at the theater. Large, comfortable seats that can be separated with your armrest, or utilized to cuddle up to your date, with no uncomfortable gap between seats. Decent selection of beverages, alcoholic or not, fresh popcorn, and an excellent selection for restaurant-made food. Children are not allowed in the VIP section, and as much as we love our kids, its a welcome reprieve for the evening. Pricing is fantastic for reserved seating, and quality of experience at approximately $11 on weekdays, and $12 on weekends. and the last, but most important quality for me, and mine; the staff. They really do go above and beyond to take care of you. They are friendly, and professional, and they work hard to provide quality service.
My husband and I love going here on Tuesdays! Only $5 to see a movie and sit in the VIP section where you can order food, drinks or dessert. We love the gelato. Great choices of flavors. The theatre is clean and beautiful too.
Its high class. We are talking reclining seats with foot rest. Enough aisle space no stepping on toes. Your seat also has a swing out table and built in cup holders. Then there is the VIP Balcony you get a Movie (new), Lunch/Dinner & Cocktails.
We had an error we made in booking our seats which lead to some confusion and frustration. Staff (especially the manager upstairs tonight) handled in a professional and friendly manner and resolved it quickly. Great staff, great theater. Will definitely go back.
Super comfortable seats, they have the ones that are like personal recliners that move up and down and have a tray with cup holder. Clean theaters as far as I could tell. Pretty standard as far as concessions go. The VIP seating is a bit pricy but worth it in my opinion, it’s nice to have a drink while watching a movie. Deducted one star because parking can be an absolute nightmare, especially on the weekend.
Theater - nice seats & clean. Concessions - small portions but still higher priced. Their nachos were a huge disappointment. They put the cheese directly on the tortilla chips for you, add way too much cheese, the chips are all soggy in minutes, & you barely get any jalapenos.
I love seeing movies at Village Cinema. Choosing seats beforehand is great and so are the reclining chairs. The staff is always nice and the cinemas are always clean.
Way too fancy! You feel like you are at an opera house. Great recliners. So comfy.
Friday night Date night with my Wife. Went to see Knives Out....Great movie, and fun relaxing time. Most comfortable seating Ive ever experienced!
This is one of the best entertainment Cinema in the treasure valley, not only for go catch a movie but also to go have a meal. The Village, is what we call this beautiful complex of stores and restaurants and of course the Movie theatre. It’s a really nice place to take the family shopping or just to take a walk and enjoy the many different retail stores that share this beautiful out door Mall.
Went and saw the Joker VIP section. Hands down I will never see a movie (unless with my son) sitting in the lower sections. Food and a beer while you watch the movie in their comfortable chairs is so worth the extra couple bucks. Been going VIP since they opened.
My favorite thing is the Dolby AtmosSome theaters do have weird seats that say “luxury recliner” but they are VERY uncomfortable for taller people.Make sure to always select the “electric recliner options.Great theater and the village is awesome
Great theater with very comfortable seats and loads to do, from being able to take a beer to your seat (if older than 21 of course) to getting food delivered. All for a premium, but its always a fun experience.
A great movie theater. Ordering tickets ahead of time is quick and easy, and picking them up at the automated machine is pretty straight forward. The seats are very comfortable and even recline!
My favorite theatre! I love the VIP 21+ section for a date night with the hubby. The seats are comfy and I love the relaxed atmosphere!
They treat you like your a kind person You just met and they have the most relaxing chairs I almost fell asleep beacause of how good it was!
Best movie theater in town, especially if you take advantage of the over 21 VIP seating on the second level. Beer and burgers delivered to your spacious recliner chair will you watch the movie.
Favorite theater in the Valley!
Great theater, rookie ticket checker wouldnt accept passport as thats all we had at moment. Manager over ruled the rude ticket checker. So awesome for that. Caldwell theater beats the seats but not in food or drink. Best theater in meridian or Boise.
In an incredibly central location, the Village Cinema is one of my favorite theaters to go to. With nearby shops and restaurants and a classic movie going atmosphere, this theater is preferred out of any other in the Treasure Valley. With comfy reclining seats and ticket/concession prices that are on par with Idahos several Regal cinemas, theres no reason to see a movie anywhere else.
The sound and luxury is very nice. No theater does luxury better than here. Large arm rests and seating, they really want you to have a good time here and dont seem as worried about packing in as many seats as possible like other theaters I have been to. I went to 3D but even the normal theaters are very nice and comfortable.
Best theater around. The reclining seats and trays to put your snacks on is a game changer. I wont see a movie another way now.
When I first walked in I was captivated by everything, yet it wasnt overwhelming.I loved the art on the walls and the red carpet feel of the place. And as someone who has some physical issues, I appreciate that they have the reclining seats.I dont go to movie often but I will be coming back to this theater.
Backstage Bistro. The place to be to watch a game over cocktails with a few family and friends before taking in a movie. Bartenders and Servers - GREAT!
They DOUBLE -BOOKED our VIP tickets!!! Day after Christmas, a special event with one of my children who was only in town for two days, and people already sitting in our seats even though we were early. Two stars because I got a refund and free passes, but the excuse that ‘there is a new system’ doesn’t cut it. Fandango didn’t make the mistake, Village Theater did.
My wife and I enjoyed the movie. I feel the VIP is overated. The seats didnt recline. It was a different experience and the food was great. That was an enjoyable experience. One Time.
Always a great time but I wish the reclining chairs had foot rests.
Love the village. Clean, great seats, and outstanding restaurant options all around the mall.
This was the best movie experience I have ever had. I usually hate going to the movies but my wife loves it. So I decided to take her on a date to the movie. We got there for the afternoon matinee and I thought the prices were very fair. But the best part was the seating. We were up on the VIP 21+ balcony in the most comfortable chairs I have ever watched a movie in. Like my home recliner. The food and drinks we ordered were delivered right to our chairs. So cool! This may make me a movie goer after all. I can watch a good movie with my favorite adult beverage in a comfy chair. Win-win! Highly recommended!
LOVED the reclining chairs, im pregnant and this made my movie going experience wonderful! Highly recommend.
Very fun with friends. This cinema is probably the best in the valley. There are lots of different theaters so there all aways movies showing at times that fit your schedule. Newer movies are always full so make sure to pre buy those tickets on fandango. It is also in a very good location after the movie you can walk around shops and just enjoy your time there. Tickets are a little of expensive than other places but the quality and experience make up for that
Always a joy to walk around the village area and see the smiling faces and wonderful community of shops.
Very courteous staff. Popcorn was good and the seats are very comfortable.
What can I say, VIP 21 hooked me like a heroin habit from day 1. Now I cant watch movies any other way. Heres a tip Even if you are only going to get a few beers and snacks grab a menu at the ticket taker and the wait staff will come find you in your seat, it is better than standing in line.
Best theater Ive been too. Exterior and Interior are beautiful and the actual theaters are designed with the screens much closer to the seats and it is perfect.
This is a new modern theater. It has food service and reclining chairs. Also is set up for handicap.
This is a relatively New ( 5 years ) Located at the Village in Meridian. An Outside Mall Type location with BEAUTIFUL Ambience. The Theater has the MOST COMFORTABLE RECLINER SEATS with a side table that swings over your lap to hold your goodies and snacks! There are several theaters available for viewing the Newest Flicks. There is also seating for dinner and drinks with your movie. There is a restaurant & bar on the second level if so desired. We actually orderd and outside pizza and took it in to have while viewing the New Release of CATS with Taylor Swift. Surprisingly delightful.Always a Great Place for A FRIDAY NIGHT DATE NITE!THE BEST PART..There is a PHOTO BOOTH IN THE LOBBY!! WE cram on in there every trip and adore the old timey feel of yesterdays gone by!
Nice and clean upscale theater. The do offer VIP lounge and you can order food and adult beverages. Restrooms are clean. If you arrive early you can grab a bite to eat or drink up stairs at the on-site bistro.
Excellent cinema! Comfortable seats and the popcorn is the best
I love this theater. Screens are large.. seats are comfy... service is amazing
Came here the first time for the opening weekend of Solo. Love this theater. It is locally owned, and they brought in characters for the showings! It is located in the Village (hence the name) where you can couple your movie with the many restaurants and shops nearby. They allow reserved seating, making for a low-stress movie going experience. The seats are all faux-leather, roomy, and comfortable. As with any other theater they accommodate standard and 3d showings. Overall it is a very relaxed and enjoyable experience watching movies here.
This was going to be a 2 star review. Our showing was canceled, so we were automatically given tickets to a different movie which had started much earlier. Asked to be put into the correct movie, whatever the next showing was. Instead, we received more tickets to the incorrect showing. Gentleman at the box office obviously didn’t want to be there. Refused us a refund at this point, as we had been late. We were not late for the showing we purchased in advance, but rather the movie they auto ticketed us for. Honestly we are easy to please but at this point we were so frustrated I just wanted to go home. Allison went above and beyond to help us. We absolutely will be back and it’s because she was so professional and took care of the problem immediately. Thank you!!!
Nice theater. Pleasant staff. This theater is definently busier than any other in town. Even on off nights. But they still seem to hit the mark for 5 stars. Well done Village Cinema.
First time at the Village; after cruising through 2 car lanes and spotting the valet parking for $6, cant say enough good things about that! The kid at the theater ticket desk was helpful, and so was the ticket-taker upstairs going to the VIP21 area. However, for first-time guests, there wasnt any guidance at the theater doors. No visible menus or signs and the waitress didnt say anything to us in the theater, so we went outside and spotted a couple menus that were lying on top of the concessions counter. Food was excellent and was worth the price.
I have come here twice. The first time it was sold out so the second time I bought an advance ticket. Big mistake.drove around for 20 minutes at noon on Sunday. Couldnt find a spot within a half mile. Ridiculous. Wont try again.
Great movie theater. Prices are decent, seats are comfortable, and areas are kept very clean. I have never had any problems, or bad experiences with this place. The location is great for activities before or after seeing a movie. Parking can be difficult if you plan on being close, but if you don’t mind a small walk then parking spots are always available.
Really fun. We got VIP tickets, the seats were comfortable, and it wasnt too far from the screen or anything. The servers were friendly and helpful. The price of the food was high though, so we only got ice cream and an appetizer, which were good. If we go again well either get normal seats (without getting food) or just get ice cream.
Awesome cinema right here. Reclining seats, VIP 21 is legit, full bar beer & spirits. Food and drinks are brought to you while you watch your movie. Staff is friendly.
Nice theater. Love the reclining seats and little moveable tables for snacks. Buying tickets online and picking your seat is a little dysfunctional though. The site shows some seats blocked or not available. Then you get there and no one else is even at this movie.
Fancy! But you have to get the nicer seating if you want a good recliner.
This place is always awesome! VIP movies where you can eat and get smashed while you watch, comfortable seats, and always have all the newest movies. Located close to all kinds of other entertainment as well.
Best theater Ive ever been to. V.I.P. is the way to go if youre 21 and older! Food and drinks delivered to your seat!
The village is a great place to go. Great people amd a great atmosphere. I always enjoy it.
This is our favorite theater in the area. Comfortable seating and its fun to spend a couple dollars more for the balcony 21 adult seating where you can have a cocktail and limited menu with extra large seating. Go early for this option as they do not serve during the movie
Great theater, went for the 1st time recently and throughly enjoyed the recliner style seats
Village Cinema is the best theater I have ever visited! The prices are better than Regal and the Village has nicer staff. In fact, I just watched a movie and got a chance to use Village Cinemas new luxury electric recliners, and OH MY GOODNESS!!! It was the best theater going experience I have ever had! The recliners are AMAZING!! I have back problems, so I have always had issues with every movie theaters seats, but not with these new recliners! I have never finished watching a movie in a theater and not been in at least a little pain, until now that is! Thank you Village Cinema, thank you so much!
The village cinema is nice. Not to crowded, and its kept clean. They do have a 21+ seating area for specific movies which is nice. You can order food and enjoy being at the movies.
The theater is great, the seats are comfy but the staff needs work. For the amount of money a person pays per ticket and at the concessions, I would think things would be smooth for the guest. Wrong. They messed up our meal order, it was incorrect and delivered well before my husband had a chance to get back to his seat. Once he got back to his seat, he had to leave AGAIN in order to have the meal corrected. I later found out, the reason he initially took so long to get back from the actual order AND MISSED THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE is because the “VIP” staff made him go downstairs for a specific drink rather than getting it themselves and delivering it to us. So not only did he have to go downstairs and come back up, he had to leave the theater after getting seated because the order was wrong. We don’t arrive early to a movie just to miss it because of the staff. What ever happened to going ‘above and beyond’ for your guest. Disappointed in the customer service/staff.
Giving it 5 stars because they really do everything very well. Not my favorite theater but only because it seems to be the busiest. My favourite thing about this place and the whole village area in general is that everyone goes there so I can get stuff done else where without the crowds. No fault of their own this place is beautifully maintained and the concessions are top notch.
Very nice mall, easy parking great place to go in the evening.
Nice movie theater but some worker avoided are online tickets to star wars on christmas eve! Manager was nice about it but its a joke that could happen.
VIP is the only way to go! Bar, food and drinks to your seat. Nice chairs and huge legroom.
Used to be five stars, quickly approaching three stars. Love the VIP section and meal service. Unfortunately they are not maintaining the building and facilities very well. The bathrooms have broken things, many decor items are broken/missing, and they are not keeping things as clean as they should. (Look at the vents in the restroom ceilings).
Screen seems less sharp and contrasty than the screens at Regal Edwards. Also the bright red exit sign near the screen shines onto the screen which ruins the picture imo.
This has been a good place to watch a movie since it opened, but they recently updated the seating. Now it is a great place to watch a movie. With the new reclining seats, you can enjoy watching something on the big screen and still be every bit as comfortable as you would be at home.
Lived it!! So clean nice! Food and drink prices are way to high.
The first time I walked in here, I wasnt sure I was in the right place, felt too fancy lol. But it is great, reasonable prices, $5 Tuesdays (great for date night), a VIP section for adults thats offers drinks and food, plus some of the best theater seats around. Village Cinema is the best place to see a movie!
We absolutely love this theater. Best experience in the Boise area if youre in the mood for a movie.
The seats had a swing around tray to hold the food in front of you and the seats had power recliners. What. ! Now thats how you watch a movie.Spacious.
