Fun and easy walkThanks to the cyclists who use their bells -- share the road and dont run pedestrians over
Loved walking here during my Memphis stay. But the paths need to be much more clearly marked. Also, while.there are a few maps, I did not find any that actually showed where I was along the trail. That could be easily remedied!
Trails are awesome for hiking!
We have ridden here two days this week, visiting friends at the hospital. This is a lovely, shaded ride. We found a new section open which was smooth and beautifully manicured. The landscaping is lovely and the experience was very nice all around. We were able to ride about eight and a half miles, nonstop. We saw all kinds of landscape and animal life, deer, geese and ducks. Lots of birds. This is an oasis in the middle of town. We will be back.
The scenery is beautiful and it makes you feel like you have traveled away for a vacation. You might catch a deer grazing in the distance, or a response rabbit hoping across the trail. My kids love riding their bikes on the trail.
This was our first time here. It was a nice walk, minus the cotton mouths we accidentally walked through! Well be more cautious next time. Also the paths are bikes and hiking, which makes it a little hard to move out of the way when sharing the paths.
Dont get caught here after dark, this place is bursting with possums! Beautiful bridge over the river.
I always enjoy the Greenway. Needs lights and more security though.
Great place to go for walking, biking, running, and just to get out into nature.
Great area to run, walk, ride a bike with your children, fish or just have a picnic. Very relaxing. Come and visit this area wont you.
I saw people walking, others on their bicycles, couples, singles, very populated. Nice descriptions of the trees, informative signs, overall a good place to do your morning or evening walks.
Literally outside my back door and I LOVE IT!
Great trail with great views of the river. Im addition it connects with the Shelby Farms network to create an amazing place to relax and enjoy nature. Only downside is for people new to the city, there is only one map at the middle of the main trail.
Very pleasant trail. Shaded on most spots.
Awesome place to get fresh air, a little exercise and see nature.
The Wolf River Greenway is one of the best walking/jogging trails in Memphis. It connects with the Germantown Greenway in the east and with Shelby Farms in the north across the beautiful Wolf River Bridge and in the west under Walnut Grove. This is the perfect starting point for any long run/walk one might want to do. Well managed, this greenway is highly recommended.
