We heard about the Robinson Gallery as potential wedding venue through word of mouth, and since the moment we reached out to Emily for more information, she has been everything we needed in a venue coordinator! Her level of professionalism and responsiveness were good first signs, but things just kept getting better. The price was a great value, and the location came with chairs, tables, speakers, and amazing works of art, so we needed to buy/rent very little else to fill up the space. The whole building has great character and Jacks fascinating story intrigued our guests. Emily and Larry were extremely helpful when it came to coordinating with our vendors and setting up the place. We planned an unusual flow for the evening that involved quickly turning over one of the rooms, and Larry accomplished this feat 5x faster than we expected! The flexibility and experience of everyone we worked with at the Robinson Gallery helped us rest easy throughout this entire process knowing that we were in good hands, and they truly proved themselves in handling our big day!
If you go to the Robinson Gallery, be sure to read the story of Jack Robinson written on a large placard posted near the front entrance. Its quite a remarkable story! The permanent collection includes large format prints of Robinsons gorgeous black and white photographs of some of the most famous celebrities of the late 1960s and early 1970s. My favorites are the photos of Tina Turner, whom he captured in all her frenetic glory! Also on display are examples of the beautiful stained glass windows Robinson created once he returned to Memphis. This is one of my favorite places in Downtown Memphis!
Event was a wedding reception . Space was clean, beautifully decorated, food delicious and presented well and easy to serve yourself. Parking arranged nearby. And elevator available for those needing it. Very enjoyable.
Great place to have all kinds of events helpful staff and all looking forward to having another event you very very soon thx
Absolutely Beautiful. I was really loving the art collections and then once we went upstairs I was totally taken with all the stained glass lining the windows....soooo amazing. The light was perfect for a wedding we were at and the venue was a delight. I’ll be recommending this place to my brides!
Loved the space. Looking forward to doing business with them
I was the chef for a special event. The venue is lovely and staff very frinedly. Great space for a private dinner or gala
Nice. vintage venue for a party/event. The only draw-back is the steep stairs to get to the space.
The photos are classic. Ive been to events sponsored by those renting the space. Its very open, and welcoming. A bit pricey though
Awesome, fantastic, beautiful!..the staff was very friendly and helpful and answered any and all of my questions with a smile
Went here for a wedding. Everything was clean and interestingly decorated. Loved it.

What a wonderful place. Everyone should go and experience it.
Awesome venue and the Emily Oppenheimer was there for anything we needed
Could have hung some tapestries on the walls to cut the noise down, but otherwise an interesting place to hold an event.
If you love eclectic art, music and history, THIS is one of Memphis best kept secret!
Enjoyed this visit. There was a pic of Aretha Franklin and it was back down memory lane
