The Art Project is a wonderful place to take your little ones. They have scheduled classes and art free time. It is a great place to go to let my son be free to be creative and socialize. It is fantastic when you are just not feeling up to walking around the zoo or if it to hot/cold/rainy to go to the park. I want to commend, congratulate and thank Anna and her sister for opening this place years ago. It was an exciting concept and they brought it to life with perfect execution and dedication.
This place is amazing!!! My son loved it. We visited while in town and there was so much to do. The staff was great! We even left to go home and forgot to pick up his projects. The staff found his paintings and shipped them to us! Super nice, fun and neat place! I would totally recommend the Art Project!!!!
Cool place to let kids explore and get in touch with their artistic side. A great deal of options to express, friendly staff, something different. Plus you dont have to clean up the huge mess your kids make for a change
My son loves coming here. Its a great way to get all of his creativity out while not dealing with the mess or cleanup yourself. They have snacks for kids and adults as well as some cool creative toys for sale. This is a hidden gem in Overton Square.
Took my baby. She had a good time! No complaints
This place is amazing. They also do adult classes and events! They are so attentive to every detail and go out of their way to make sure you have a great time, whether its a private party, or a class, or just free play. And remember, adults need unstructured play just as much as kids!
We love The Art Project — it is a great indoor creative activity for our daughters. We have hosted two birthday parties there and highly recommend doing a party with them! They make it so seamless. The space is filled with different activities for kids and the best part is that I don’t have to clean up! I’ve even done a workshop myself with friends there.
Great place for kids. I took three 5 year old girls.....they had a blast!! It was worth it.
Great way to burn an hour or so and let the kids get creative! Super friendly staff too!
Every time I try this place the last couple of years, it’s closed for a birthday party. Don’t bother going without a reservation. You can’t really have a leisurely lunch on the square and then drop in. You will have to make an appointment, prepay and schedule everything around the reservation. It’s actually pretty small so I guess they have to close for parties but if so, I wish it wasn’t during prime hours when people are out doing things with their young kids. I am giving it 2 stars because my older daughter did enjoy it when it first opened. Then when she was about 9, she outgrew it so we didn’t got for a few years. Now that my younger daughter is old enough to go, we can’t ever get in.
Perfect place for children to explore their talents.
I love this place! Great service, great supplies, great setup! Having my kidsparty here next year!
This is a great place to take your child to bring out their creativity. The staff is so helpful and delightful. The number of things you do is simply amazing. Memphis has been waiting for something like this.
This is the single best birthday party venue in Memphis!Painting was a hit with the kids, we used Crayola Washables and just let them have at it... they have a clean up area in the back. Also, when you rent the space you get use of the catering kitchen and sound system, and unlike other places you have control of the lights which makes the birthday cake presentation is a breeze.Theres plenty of space, and its all open so parents can monitor their own children playing in the Scribble Space area while chatting with other parents-- I have nothing but good things to say, we have never had such an easy party.
Want to see happy children-bring them here! Its a great concept, kids can explore anything from painting, sand play, coloring, drawing, and the list goes on. They have special classes (extra charge) like print making or woodworking. Where else can 4.5 year old kids build catapults or bird houses using real wood, real hand drills, and develop their own skills. Unique concept in Memphis that helps to develop the artist in each child.
Perfect location in Overton Square, this place is really overflowing with amazing, fresh ideas and a space that cant help but awaken all of your creative senses! Its hard to say what is the neatest thing they do here but one that stands out is turning the art your kids create into custom note cards and other precious memories. What a great addition for Memphis!
The Art Project is an absolute gem! My two kids had a fun, exploratory, and creative experience playing with all the fun stations and materials. The staff helped us feel welcome and interacted delightfully with my children. We are going to get a membership for sure so we can go many more times.
This is a great place! New themes every week. Great kid and adult art classes. The membership is absolutely worth it!
Such a cool place for the little ones! Staff is really hands on and great with kids.
Excellent environment for a child to explore their creativity.
