Blue Moon Tattoo Co. is a fantastic, unique, antiqueish styled tattoo shop located nearby the Historic District of Eau Galle.My partner and I went in for a Halloween special offered by Imara. He got a pentagram while I got a pair of crying eyes drawn up by Imara herself.My partner loved their pentagram tattoo and its actually his second biggest pentagram tattoo on his body so far. Imara was very nice and patient with him. He will definitely come back again.I absolutely adore my crying eyes tattoo to be very honest. Imara was great given that shes still only an apprentice right now! Tim Shubert is an excellent tattoo artist. When he isnt tattooing, he paints, utilizes other forms of mediums to stay sharp, and continues to hone and refine his craft. Ive been coming to this place since march 2019, and im always amazed at the high quality of work that Tim produces.

I dont feel right rating this establishment as I did not receive a tattoo so I cannot speak to their artistry, however, that being said, I will speak to their lack of service. To me its obvious, as well as good business practice, to make patrons feel welcomed- even if tattoos are no longer being offered bc the shop will soon close. My husband and I walked in one evening and were abruptly turned away, not one question on what we were interested in, our information was not taken, no courtesy was involved in advising us to come back at such and such date and/or time, no appointments made or offered. Just didnt make any sense at all and was quite rude actually. Oh well, their loss.

My sister and I both had tattoos done by Tim. We walked in with pictures from Pinterest and Tim was able to make them his own and worked with us very well. Hes a laid-back guy and I would recommend him to anyone. Just make sure you have cash as he doesnt accept cards.

You have to keep in mind that multiple artists work at blue moon, and their reviews are all blended together. Be sure to look for reviews about the specific person doing your tattoo.I had my tattoo done by Cayce, and while she is a good digital artist, I feel she is not yet fully ready to give tattoos. She made multiple mistakes doing a relatively simple solid black tattoo (which I provided a printed template for), both the first time I went there and the second time I went back to have it fixed.Some shapes were uneven, some lines were shaky along the edges, and in one spot she accidentally tattooed through a blank area. The ink also faded quickly and unevenly.I believe if she had more training as a tattoo artist she would be decent given her artistic skills in a more forgiving medium, but as of February in 2019 I cannot in good faith recommend her. I will be having my tattoo touched up somewhere else.Unrelated to her skill as an artist, she also reached out unprompted and berated me over the contact number I’d used to set up the appointment after I first left this review. Which I feel was unprofessional.

Came into the shop as a walk-in hoping for some new ink. Tim delivered in a huge way. We talked for a minute to give him my idea, he had it drawn up sized and placed very quickly and efficiently. This was my 11th tat, but one of the best experiences Ive had getting ink done. He worked with me on everything and I couldnt be happier with the work. He is fast, accurate, knowledgeable, and above all, clean. Cannot recommend enough. Will def be back. Thank you, Tim!!

About six weeks ago I decided to get some work done after waiting a very long time. That night that I decided to, I went to five local shops before Blue Moon And all five were either snobby, unwelcoming or just were too busy. Tim at Blue moon was the last stop and I couldn’t be happier it was. You walk into his joint and it just felt really comfortable to me. He greeted me right away WHILE working on someone. GEE WHAT A BUSINESS CONCEPT YOU MIGHT WANT TO FOLLOW ... Anyways, I showed him a picture of what I wanted for a very very long time and he asked me to please wait a couple minutes while he finished up with his other client. Once he was done I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he asked me to please come back the next morning because he had three other clients that night and this was about 830. He genuinely seemed like he wanted to do this particular piece, so i said sure no problem and the only reason why is because he really wanted to do this piece. I came back the next day at opening and this brother already had a rendering drawn out with add on’s of his own ideas that just took it from great to an absolute piece of art. Tim really is a true artist and I suggest anybody reading this before you decide to get any work done to go see him and see what he can do. His prices are incredibly reasonable and he is a perfectionist. He will have you come back and he will look over his piece and if he feels there’s an issue or problem, he will fix it. Since that day I’ve gone back for two more in a total of six weeks and he continually gets better. It’s a great place with a great vibe and great people. Tim, My Brother, Thank You for these works of art you have done so far. We ain’t done yet brother.1000% recommended.

Tim has done every single one of my tattoos. He takes my ideas and turns them into a masterpiece. Not only is he great at his trade but he is also very personable and makes you feel at ease throughout the process. I highly recommend him for any work you need done!

Tim has done 4 of my tattoos... One was a complete cover up, and one he turned a 20 yr old lizard tattoo into a really awesome iguana. Tim is a tattoo artist. He was kind, compassionate, listened to exactly what I wanted, created a positive and chill experience, and took me as a walk in the same day- when other shops in town (and I wont name names because Im not trying to hate on anyone) had turned me away and been downright cruel to me after requesting some ink. Tim is a lovely person and you would be lucky to get a tattoo here. Great shop with lots of cool skulls and artwork all over the place (they literally have a skull filled Christmas tree in the front)! Oh, and did I mention my cousins where running in and out of the shop through the entire session and Tim was only ever gracious and kind to all 3 of them? 10 out of 10 experience. 11 out of 10, because he went above and beyond what I imagined and what anyone could expect from a tattoo artist. Soooooooo pleased with the work and that fate brought me to this cool little shop

Went in for a cover up, drawing looked good gave the guy a chance and as soon as were done I can still very much see the tattoo underneath.... So 300$ for a cover up that wasnt a cover now Im very happy that my neck is screwed up..
