Very Nice Swim Club, But The Staff Was Not As Nice, And The Lifeguards Do Not Pay Attention

A beautiful swim club for the entire family!! Weekend BBQ, and entertainment!! Been a member for 40+ years!!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I recently held my son’s 1st birthday party there and it would have been a nightmare if he didn’t enjoy himself the way he did. The staff and counselors all look to be under age so there were children running the camp that day. I understand no one could control the weather but the staff did not take appropriate measures to accommodating my party as it started to rain. I had children who did not eat or drink yet I’m 92 degree weather and they did not see that as a priority to get them their food. I was labeled as a thief because I left when my party ended while it was pouring down raining. My credit card number was suppose to be on file because it was given when I signed my contract. They think that it is my fault that their normal procedure is to throw out the contract with the card information on it and process a new payment on the day of your event. How would that be my fault when I was never inform of this stupid procedure. I was also labeled as a liar with them insinuating sneaking guests in the back of the campground .. all of my guests checked that parked in the back. Which two of my guests were made to pay for re-entry so they mad even more money from my party. I am completely mortified by this establishment and plan on never returning even if it was the last place standing on earth. I never received an apology for them making me feel like I was a liar and a thief, and was even told to shut up while on the phone with management. I feel that they were racially based towards myself and my guests because everyone acted as if they were scared to even approach me. Management is very unprofessional and needs to implement a better procedure for payment and for inclement weather.

I think Chartwell is a good facility, and could be a great camp. But it seems to be very poorly managed. I’ve had a hard time getting through to anyone. Most of the time I call, I end up getting the voicemail. If I leave a message to call back, the calls either aren’t returned at all, or very rarely returned over a period of days. The director there is good and seems to know her stuff very well. But she is always busy, and doesn’t respond back to any form of communication. I’ve found that the only way to reach her is to make a trip to Chartwell itself, and speak to her in person. One shouldn’t have to go through such great lengths to inquire about their summer camp program or get basic questions answered. I really wanted to send my son there this summer. But will no longer be doing that.

Staff are very rude and inconsiderate. I would not suggest going here.

What a cool place! Chartwell has done some great things here. There is a ton of room for families, so you dont feel too crowded, and plenty of pool options for kids big and small. I deducted a star because the gravel parking lot is brutal.

It’s clean, it has a good environment for kids and adults, they have nice and great lifeguards, and it’s the best pool I’ve ever been to!

I went here for summer camp and it was amazing! The pool was so much fun and the food was wonderful. But the counselors were kind of careless if something went wrong and it was a little strange but I really enjoyed this place.

This place is absolutely amazing! the pools and splash park are unmatchable! the price is great and they have so much fun activities for your family to do! I will be here as much as I can be this summer!

Irresponsible and arrogant management...dont ever trust their words and save your children from their trauma

Excellent enviroment, family oriented, great Sunday bbq . Great DJs .. all around fun for the family . Water slides are awesome ! We have met people who drive an hour to get there. Really nice place !
