Covid 19 happened and with everybody we were all impacted. Our soccer season lasted for all of one practice before being cancelled for the remainder of the season. I can understand if you cannot send us a refund for the season you spent that money, but credit us for next season. You didnt have to keep the fields up, you didnt have to have the director at the fields and wed gladly see you in the fall. Or you could give us our money back and well see you next season happy that youve taken care or people that help your academy run. However, when you steal from us stating the season was cancelled and we can only offer 50 percent off next season is almost criminal. Since me fighting this to your face wont do us any justice we can only hope that your actions will lead to parents taking their kids to a program that takes into account the person and not their own pocket books. Good luck moving forward.
Everything is amazing except for the bathroom because it smells disgusting and they never every clean them
We came to SSA several years ago from another club. We heard amazing things about the club and were excited. The first several years were good. Good coaches and good competition. Then SSA started absorbing clubs and it became about the money. It became quickly apparent that there is so much development on the boys side of the house, while the girls side has been left to flounder. NASA/Tophat and Concorde and even Georgia Impact are starting to get our girls because they offer better teams and better opportunities with coaches that are focused on them and not their other jobs within the club. It’s sad to see something that was great and competitive for girls slide into decline and know that SSA just doesn’t care and is only interested in taking your money. I definitely would not recommend this club if you have daughters that want to play competitively.
If I could leave no stars I would. Southern Soccer Academy is a SCAM.This organization took advantage of the covid19 situation and didnt refund the supporting familys of this soccer organization for the spring 2020 season that never happened. Instead they pocketed all the money and offered a coupon for less than half off next season. Never again will I enroll my kids in this soccer program. My family and many others paid our hard earned money for a season that literally never happened. SSA kept everybodys money and onlyoonly a apology with a small coupon credit for next season.Be very wary of these people. Pleade attempt to support other soccer organizations who care about the people who support them. They work with volunteer coaches and donated fields. I cannot believe they didnt give options to for a full refund or full paid entry into the next played season. These people remind me of someone who agrees to do work but requires money up front. Then when its time to do the job....you never see them again.People are entitled to a refund if the service that they paid for, including the involvement of a sporting competition, doesnt take place.
Paid for Spring league and had two practices for my daughter and 3 for my boys before cancellation around 8 weeks later. No refunds and only a 45% credit towards the next season even though the organization was told they wont be playing.
$180. 1 practice. Zero games. 45% credit for next year. Money grubbing organization. Even last season we always were shorts refs. I certainly wont be back with my kids, and I wouldnt suggest this organization to anyone else either.
The best, Ryan is amazing. If your child loves the game everything else comes naturally without relying on the coach. You can’t force a child to like soccer, they have to have love and passion for the game.
Best soccer team ever
Not impressed with their boys academy program. Hardly any skill sessions and the focus is on playing way too many tournaments without much practice times. Rain outs / bad weather are hardly made up considering the amount of fees parents pay - and not getting enough practice. The board needs to wake up - coaches are good but if the management and board do not take parents feedback to improve the program, coaches cant do much. The program does not cover aggressive skill building sessions. Whatever extra skill sessions my son has attended are pretty useless - more suitable for absolutely new soccer players. A 11 yr old saying the skill sessions are terrible after attending it is something. And this is our end of second year in the program and no improvements.
Not enough referees for u-10 girls. No field representation by ssa. This is a bad mix which allows experienced teams and coaches such as Girls United coach Walker to prey on the inexperienced.
Trash them every time CONCORDE FIRE IS BEST
Coaches are amazing!
