Recently I decided to purchase my new reef tank from Shac, who was extremely helpful throughout the process while providing the most competitive prices among online and local vendors. Hes super knowledgeable about the reefing hobby as evident by his gorgeous display tank. Gives you straight forward advice that you can trust. Literally talked me through his recommendations for a good 30 mins. Cant say enough good things.

Awesome shop for live coral and saltwater accessories! Staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about answering questions! If you have a saltwater tank they have what you need! Cleaner shrimp, fish, salt, they even make saltwater using reverse osmosis to protect your investment!

I walked in for the first time yesterday and was really impressed with the layout of the store. Its really clean and nicely lasted out so you can see all of there stock. The staff is awesome and was willing to spend the time answering every question I had! If you are into saltwater then you need to check this place out!

Amazing prices on coral and saltwater fish. They have a huge selection at all price ranges.Rare and hard to find coral and fish for half the cost of most retailers. The fish purchased have all been healthy, I haven’t lost a single thing after purchasing.The store isn’t the “most impressive” compared to the high end reef stores in Atlanta but it’s nice and the staff and pricing wins my business 10 times over.Since shopping here, I’ve not wasted time going anywhere else for my saltwater supplies and needs.They also will order any equipment not in stock for you at a lower price than you can find most anywhere.This place is a gold mine. Don’t miss out on the great finds Shac finds and passes on a great price!

Definitely like a second home. Always a great selection at affordable prices the best in Atlanta for sure! I have shop around Atlanta and surrounding areas and this is the best place to go For marine aquarium hobbyists.

To be honest- the only business that I’ve ever posted a negative review on is Reef Shac. The owner replied recently about my review, complaining that it was “unfair”. I apologize if simply being honest is unfair. Rather than the owner contacting me to make things right- he posts a review complaining about me because he provided poor customer service? I was mislead. I had Chris call the owner to ask if he’d stick to his original word. He refused. That’s when I decided and told Chris I’d never do business with their company again. Perhaps in the future Reef Shac will provide in writing agreements like reputable businesses do? I hope. The Owner says “all reviews are good.” Not true. Ask Chuck Wade about that comment?Even though I lost money by dealing with Reef Shac by buying saltwater...I’m so glad I did. If such problems occurred from a simple purchase, I can’t imagine what might’ve happened if I bought live animals from Reef Shac. I’ve already found a new supplier and the difference is astounding. I wish Reef Shac no harm- I simply posted my honest review to help others. Everyone has a different experience. Mine was simply terrible.

Good little local fish store in the Marietta area. They have a nice selection of saltwater fish and corals. Most of their offerings are LPS coral. They have some of the best prices on fish in the Metro Atlanta area.

Shac has great prices! His coral selection is top notch ( great for reefers. I dont have coral so that is just something I like to browse through) not a huge fish selection (but huge coral selection) but they keep a nice variety and always have 3-5 really cool/unique fish. He posts specials on Facebook groups and his page, so make sure to follow Reef Shac on Facebook bc his weekly specials are AWESOME.

I recently decided to finally invest in a saltwater aquarium. I did my research on local suppliers and decided to give Reed Shac a try because I like to shop with small businesses rather than the larger stores. The first visit was to seek help with beginning my aquarium. Chris was very helpful. Shac told me I needed to buy water from them to start the tank. Ok no problem. He quoted me 15 dollars per container of water- 5 for the water- 10 for a “refundable container deposit” that i’d get back when I returned the containers. Upon returning the containers today expecting to get back the quoted 10 each deposit- I was then told there’s also a “rental fee” for each container. This should have been explained before I made the purchase- not after. Shac refused to honor the original quote. I’m so disappointed- I would’ve spent at least several hundred dollars in the store- but because of bad business ethics- I’ll now have to take my business to the larger more reputable stores.

I didnt buy a thing but the customer service was excellent. I had just stopped in to check the place out as a former Salt water person would. I walked out with a wealth of knowledge of reef tanks and what it takes to successfully set one up. I have been thinking about getting back in the game and the person there sold me and did it without no pressure to buy a thing. He simply did a knowledge dump on me and peaked my interest. Cool spot go check them out.I would go there first because of this experience, but first i have to make up my mind.

Shac is the man. He knows his coral and fish and anyone who knows him knows he is expanding so fast and will soon be the biggest and best Coral retailer in Georgia. I love shopping at Reef Shac. I have a gorgeous tank in my house and I have referred many of my family and friends to Shac. Great experience at the Reef Shac. Shac is very knowledgeable and doesn’t mind spending a little more time with you to educate while ensuring you find the right coral for your aquarium. I also prefer to support the smaller, local businesses in lieu of the big box stores such as petsmart or petco. Reasonable prices with a great selection is why I will make this a routine stop for my aquarium needs.

This store had fish that were very skinny. A couple had something wrong with them. They had white stuff on their heads and part of their bodies. They gave tons of corals but Id be afraid of being the algae thats on their tracks back to my set up. Might go back and see if things get better but for now I definitely wouldnt buy from them.

Good coral thats it. Every fish i bought died in a day. I got 1 fish out of 20 that was lucky. Chris is very knowledgable and will give you very good info. . coral prices are freat.

Awesome corals at a great price. shac doesnt mind to answer a ton of questions. I always stop by here on my way back from Florida or Georgia and always get something his corals are awesome. ordered from him off Facebook to and same great service there also.

Once youre all set up with your saltwater tank, Reef Shac is the only place that you will need to go to for fish and corals. Shac runs the place with no overhead, so his fish prices are about HALF of the other guys prices.. I ordered a fish on Sunday and it will be in on Tuesday.

Horrible and the lack of customer engagement that comes from the owner is something my wife and I really felt from our first visit but I returned alone nevertheless and as what I thought was insured by the owners coldness again was still there from the first visit.
