Nice public park around the lake with great view of Mt Rainier from northside( close to the lodge).Ample parking available. Lake with a small beach is added advantage for swimming and water amusement. The fishing deck looks so nice for an evening relax.Lots of picnic table around and near the lake.It also have two tennis court, baseball field, children’s play area. We liked the walk along the lake.
It was nice. The park was clean, the water is sandy which I really like the water was warmer then some other lakes. The play area for the kids was nice, but what I didnt care for was how bad the bathrooms were, they need,to be cleaned more often bit the people who go there should also do there part and not be so messy. I did like knowing the parking was for free, and it had a coal pale for the burketts and trash cans. So over all I would recommended and I definitely will return
Love the whole lake wilderness park area. The arboretum is big and beautiful, the lodge is fantastic (I did get married there). The lake itself isnt the greatest it is known for swimmers itch. The playground area is new and awesome. All around though the park is fantastic park to visit. You can also hop onto the cedar river trail and go on that for miles if you wanted too.
Very pretty. A friend had their wedding here a few years ago. Still a very pretty location. Beach area to swim when the weather is nice, no life guard. The area is wide spread so its easy to socia distance and still enjoy a picnic.
Cute spot to picnic, kayak & boating. There’s a lot of ducks so a lot of duck poop not safe to swim but there was kids swimming. There’s also rental for 20$ a hour and the workers told me the water is dirty with bacteria so only stay on certain areas. There’s also views of mt rainier and random ppls houses around the Lake .
Lake Wilderness Park is great for the family. Plenty to do here. Large playground, sport court, Lake with beach and dock. Very well kept and clean. We had a wonderful time.
Great bass fishing if you have a boat. Lots of laydowns and vegetation.Fished the dock a bit, show a couple of the kiddos how to cast (they were watching me and I had 3 poles so why not)Good spot for picnics, there is a nice swimming area, playground, lots of grills, arboretum. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back
Nice public park. The lake is beautiful, with views of Mt. Rainier from the north end. A large modern play area for the kids. A sandy swimming area with a dock. The public bathrooms are nice and concessions are available during parts of the year. There large grassy areas for picnicking and sunbathing as welds as sheltered picnic tables scattered throughout the park. A popular place for fisherman who either work from the banks or from small boats. There is also a nice arboretum at the park that is well worth a stroll. The park is accessible from the Cedar Creek trail; consider making the park a destination for a good bike ride. Excellent place for low impact paddling.
Beautiful park that its well maintained and had many nice walks. A little too developed and manicured for my tastes, but still very lovely. Theres is an adorable little bench with a cute library too!
Very relaxing place to go. Has a beach for the kids to play with and a deck where you can jump off from. The water is relatively warm and there are lots of other places where you can stay and swim from. Tables are available and its just overall beautiful.
Lovely grounds! Beautiful lake nice trails! Nice for a picnic!
Looked for and hid rocks in this beautiful park. Wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Great place for kayaking, paddle boards, etc. If you can float in the lake you can easily social distance. If you are going for the beach and swimming you are taking a huge risk during a pandemic. There were a ton of people and not 1 person was following the guidelines. The only way we avoided people was by kayaking the lake, which was beautiful and peaceful. If you have no way of floating the lake, I would avoid this park during the pandemic.
It is beautiful and clean. A nice place to go and take a walk
Pretty well laid out and navigable disk golf course. Mostly 200-250 holes, all par 3. If the parking lot is full theres more parking nearby. Portapotty, strollerable with an off road stroller. Pretty clean and maintained, except for some areas with broken glass
This is a nice little park to go to to relax. Fishing wise... I have never caught a fish bank fishing here.
Beautiful lake park, very big. Great place to hangout or even have an event. Impressed.
10/10 for being a lake. 6/10 for being in the wilderness.
Beautiful park, well maintained. Highly recommended.
Beautiful lake. A bit busy but nice
Love lake wilderness! Just wish they had more in concessions. They definitely need to clean the bathrooms more often.
Since 1969, the 1st time I visited, such an amazing place... well maintained & cared for.
Its a nice park for sure. Good playground for kids, clean bathroom and concessions, lots of open field for sports. However the lake quality its self is subpar. Very gross. Other than that its great especially with the many trails of the arboretum.
First time at Lake Wilderness and I was happy to find several options for parking and places to sit. The park was clean, great scenery and not too noisy in spite of the crowds.
The arboretum is beautiful, an easy walk adventure. The lake itself is stunning, with a fun park for kids.
BIG PARK.. lots of room for the familyNice lake.. Good temperature for swimming.. Just dont drink the water.
Lots of excellent parking spaces. Lots of waterfront places for people. A full childrens playground. Just gorgeous location. 2 sets of public bathrooms. A snack food place. I can go on. Best place ever. Anne
Wonderful setting. Not too crowded most of the time. Lots of parking.
The new restrooms and concessions are wonderful. Good amount of picnic tables in the shade for a great get-together.
This is an amazing place. The lake has swimming and kayaking fun for all. BBQs, get togethers, baseball and tennis fun for the whole family.
Beautiful park with grills and lots of open areas to run and play around. Great for families .
Seemed like a nice place. It wasnt crowded and we started a bike ride from there.
Quiet, calm water, Lake Wilderness. Nice for kayaking or standup paddleboarding, due to no speed nor gas engine boats allowed. Good fishing, from either shore or boat. At the park, there are good picnic areas, a boat launch, tennis courts, ball park field, and swim area with dock.
Loved it my family loved it and we keep going every weekend.
Always a peaceful place to go when I need to get out of the house. Beautiful scenery.
Gaffney Grove for Sunday am round. Great company and weather
Fun trails and well maintained open spaces to explore.
Clean place and open during quarantine which is nice because you can still get snacks and rent boats but the life guards sometimes are not on the dock but is is still open I also like how you can be social distanced and the boats and life jackets if you borrow them are cleaned after every use.
This is one of my favorite courses to play....
Beautiful lake, quiet and good place for picnic and outside parties
Wonderful Clean Park! Lifeguards on duty at the lake, staff emptying trash cans and restocking bathrooms the entire time we were there too. Safe, Relaxing, Enjoyable!
Very clean park nice place to go fishing and have family get togethers
Nice clean park and lake.
This park has something for every age. Sit and watch the water, walk on the nearby trail that follows along the lake, swim, barbeque, play on the playground, fishing. Had a nice time here but be aware that it is extremely crowded during covid19.
Beautiful park. Great facilities and clean.
Awesome swimming, diving from dock, fishing, paddleboard rental in summer, large lake. Trails for walking to huge flower garden.
Awesome lake of warm clear water and beautiful views. Many things to do. The options are endless
Cool first visit, lots of people even though mediocre weather, swimmers swam right into my fishing area, so respect is limited to the individual.....
This is a peaceful and well maintained walking trail. Since it is near some shopping places, there is plenty of parking nearby, too.
Very nice friendly park, super clean and lots of seating for parents
Loved this place since I was a kid but last time we went it was closed because of bacteria in the lake
A great place for a picnic with your girlfriend and to meet her family.
Nice peaceful lake to just relax and drownd worms
My favorite park!! Great place for running, swimming and boating!!
This was our first time visiting Lake Wilderness. It was a really nice park. We went to a geocaching event/BBQ, then went hiking in the area. I will more than likely return.
Wow his this park gotten better over time. Theyve made the dock very nice and the grounds are kept up very well.
Absolutely beautiful lake!
Theres like 1000 people during the pandemic. I was on a private dock on the other side of the lake
Great views, excellent playground, miles of beautiful trails, fishing, swimming, boating, gardens, & never too crowded ️
Beautiful lake with a view of Mt Rainer on a clear day.
Nice place to SUP, no gas powered watercraft.
One of the best picnic place in this area

Not enough toilets facilities, overcrowded but lake beautiful, clean.
Gorgeous park and so much room for activities.
Great views, unfortunately everybody else knows that too. Personally not a crowd person, off season is better.
Really beautiful and breathtaking, as for fishing I got not even a bite for the 6 hours I was there.
Great lake!
Fun in the sun, with swimming &other activities
What a great park! Clean, safe family fun! Maple Valley does parks the right way.. Give it a go on a nice day and go have some fun!
Clean &nice park. Good for picnic, kayaking
Very very good, clean beautiful nothing dangerous everything is good
We enjoy going here for picnics, great swim area with sandy bottom so you dont get poked by rocks. There are different depth roped off areas from shallow to deeper including a dock that you can jump off. On the other side of the park is a fun playground for the kids to climb around. A lot of space to walk around the park and lake as well.
The Lake was lots of fun there is plenty of water and Sun, But one problem somebody stole gas out of my pick up in the parking lot
First time there launching our boat. Nice lake, but a lot of people just standing in the boat launch.
Those is or favorite park. Its well maintained, peaceful, lots of space, great activity toys clean facilities and of course, the beautiful lake.
Fell in the lake but it was hot out so its fine
Great place for a picnic and swimming. Clean with a kids playground
Fantastic part for enjoying the sunny day at the lake
The park is really nice and the pride and joy of Maple Valley. They do some fun activities here and the kids playground keeps the kids busy and gets their energy out. I deducted 2 stars because 1) the lake is not healthy to go into most of the year and 2) the baseball field is in rough condition. The infield dirt needs a refresh the grass has so many holes, it is dangerous to play on due to risk of rolling your ankle.
Clean, quiet park. No fees.
