This park is small but is set up pretty nice. Theres a wall of giant stone you could sit on and watch the river. Theres even a big trail to ride along side the river. Theres also a kids playground to play in.

I love it by the river however on July 11th I was caught in that storm thank God for the building being open.

Lots of space for activities! The best is eating fast food on the rocks over a sunset!

Nice clean modern bathrooms. Beautiful view of the Blue Earth River. Its a great place to go bike riding, it is right on the Minnesota River Trail, which ties into the Sakatoah State Trail. Its also just of downtown.

All directions something 2 see & do. Beautiful & breathtaking views. Outdoor concerts are the BEST when weather cooperates.

What a great place! I was in Mankato for a Hairball concert a few weeks ago at this location and loved it. The sound was decent and there were plenty of places to sit/stand. I recommend bringing a lawn chair if you dont want to sit on cement. They offered a variety of food/beverage options at decent prices. Great summer atmosphere!

This is an amphitheater and park. We have only been here for Rib Fest in early August. The park is really nice and is a great place for a picnic. Shows or concerts are held here throughout the year. Rib Fest is an event we attend almost every year. Its a good time to have some ribs and drinks and visit with friends.

Great walkways, well maintained, lots of places to sit too

The restrooms and general park area are very clean. Park is great for older children (5+) Theres a great view of the river and City (great for photos). Easy access to trail with a place to air up bike tires. sadly the city turned the ampitheater to assigned seating for concert venues a while ago, which ruined the feel. It would also be nice to have public restrooms available during concerts and festivals instead of port-o-potties.

Nice concert venue. Wish there was some shade somewhere though. Gets pretty hot with the sun beating down on you and really no place to go to escape it.

Vetterstone - you made a mistake putting in reserved seating for the concerts. I heard a lot of people questioning why they paid $40 each for folding chairs set in the middle of all of the bag chairs others brought themselves. Seems like a money grab.Speaking of money grabs, Ive loved Mötley Crüe since I was in sixth grade in 1982. Im now 50 and Vince Neil isnt at his best. The people OBVIOUSLY still come out to see him, but the show was best when he left the stage and the band played. Jeff Blando saved the show for me. Incredible talent and anything but bland. That dude rocks right out loud!Ribfest - venders were great. Still pretty pricey based on what you get but not unexpected. We tried four different vendors -The ribs were great and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the entire day.Overall, nice job Mankato. This event has shown steady improvement over the years.

We used the shelter to have a picnic lunch. Great view of the river. Everything seemed very well kept. Nice equipment for kids to play on, but nothing for smaller kids. It also had very nice bathrooms and a drinking fountain.

Great area to go on walks/ bike ride; theres interesting sculpture artwork here just like the rest of the city accompanied with plague explaining the artist or origin

I Love the park... but I feel like they should have separate port a potties for men and women. They get really disgusting! Also the soap and water ran out very early on at Ribfest. Great vendors, food was so good!

My favorite park. So many great events in the summer! Also the Mankato Piece is a fond memory for growing up in Kato so I love seeing it.

There are better parks in the area but Riverfront hosts fun events and offers a decent amount of things to do.

Pokémon Go has two gyms and five Pokestops here, so its a very nice spot for trainers to go and walk around in almost any weather. Good spawns, including occasional rares and water types down by the rivers edge.There are covered picnic tables, a childrens playground, nice views of the river and the city at its edge, ample parking, clean and warm public restrooms open during the day, and even a bike tool stand for cyclists to use with an air pump and all the most commonly needed bicycle repair tools. The blacktop-paved Minnesota River Trail skirts around the Parks edges, and its quite nice to get away, howsowever briefly, from the incessant noise and agressive drivers of downtown and Old Town Mankato.Would be considerably better if it werent almost constantly under rennovation, and apparently exempt from enforcement of city and state noise ordinances. Depending when you visit, and which way the winds blowing, there may sometimes be nearly overwhelming noxious fumes from industrial installations in the area. There are nonetheless some rather nice events held here.

Decent park, cant comment on the amphitheatre but the graffiti and trash around the old C&NW Caboose should be cleaned up.

We enjoyed the Mankato Orchestra on the Fourth of July and the great fireworks show at this wonderful venue!
