Northshore Lakefront

The lakefront is always so peaceful and beautiful. Everyone is so kind and stays to their self. Great place to go clear your mind.

I absolutely love walking the Lake Front. I use to do it more when I was younger and lived in Louisiana but now in MS. and dont get the chance. Was able to bring my children, all girls 14, 8, 8 and they also loved it and had lots of questions so they were able to learn a few things and exercise. If you get a chance to take a stroll I highly recommend it. It is clean, beautiful, safe, and friendly (even pooch friendly if you have a leash). Plenty of places to eat and wonderful scenery.

Soooo peaceful. There are so many Oak trees covered in Spanish moss that it just adds to the tranquility. Very well maintained. They have walkways for you to ride your bike or just casually stroll along enjoying the amazing views. You can also sit along the wall to relax and listen to the waves lapping. Such a great way to end the day with a gorgeous sunset!Sigh......The only one thing I think that needs to be added is a public restroom.Seriously.

A beautiful area to go for a walk, sit in the shade, relax in a swing, fly a kit... the options are endless. Just a well taken care of lakefront park that is enjoyed by many. If you are visiting the Mandeville area, a must visit. If you live in the area, I am probably not telling you anything you don’t already know.We go down and walk the lakefront 3-4 nights a week. Just so relaxing.

I love the Northshore lakefront. while I may live 8 hours away now, I still am eager to visit and give my kids a chance to experience this beautiful area the same way I did as a child.

Amazing old oak trees

Biased, saved my life once. Brain hemorrhage made me unconscious. Heli brought me from northshore to tulane in New Orleans. No lasting effects after my in planned brain burst except for both right peripherals no longer existing in my sight. Better a 3rd blind than dead. Thanks docs.

They have areas for children, grilling, play time with your pets, and walk trails along the lake. Its beautiful and romantic. Some of the most beautiful weddings Ive seen takes place here. My personal favorite would be the swing with my husband.

I recommend that you go here during sunset it is very beautiful.

This place is beautiful. There is usually a nice breeze and the temperature here is a few degrees below average which is great in the summer. There are small playgrounds on either end of the trail. Parking can be limited so you might want to park at the Mandeville trailhead and walk. Its only a few blocks.

The Mandeville lakefront area is one of the most beautiful areas of this town. Littered with many live oak trees, most of which are over a hundred years old. Popular place to take your little ones, human or canine.

Homes, trees, hanging Spanish Moss, bench swings, play grounds, beautiful views, great dining options

Enjoy taking the family there and is also great for just a night walk with ur b/f or g/f. Then you have all the great places to eat along the lakefront also.

THEY NEED PUBLIC RESTROOMS HERE. IT IS A SHAME TO HAVE SUCH A NICE PLACE TO BRING YOUR FAMILY FOR A DAY OUTING AND HAVE DISGUSTING PORT O POTTIES. AND I DO MEAN DISGUSTING FILTHY GERM AND BUG INFESTED PORTO O POTTYS!!! NO TOILET PAPER. THIS CITY SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!

Beautiful place to walk, or just sit, and enjoy Gods creation with your family. Update 02/2019: I have walked along the path next to Lake Pontchartrain on the Northshore Lakefront on many occasions. Frequently it is being maintained as I walk. This area continues to be a safe way to get some exercise on the walking path and is beautifully maintained.

The Lakefront is a place thats great to go to relax and have fun with friends. Along the Lakefront and within short walking distance are resteraunts and cafes to eat and enjoy the atmospheres provided

Great place to go for a walk get something good to eat and maybe even have a drink or two! Shops are close and have a variety of wares!

Always a nice relaxing place to visit. Wish the patrons would do better to clean up after their animals. Also for such a large area no public restrooms. You are forced to purchase goods from the local restaurants that for the lake front just to pee. Its frustrating.

Another scenic place to get in a fresh air workout. Shaded areas allow for cooler spots to exercise and the breeze is usually very refreshing.Only downside is lack of bathrooms. Lost a star for that

Great place to people watch or just relax. They DEFINITELY need to add more benches and stuff along the lakefront. Theres nowhere near enough for the amount of people that go out there at times.

I love the lakefront. Nice place to come sit and relax by the water. The sidewalks are great for a nice walk or run. The parks and splash pad are great for the kids to play at. My only complaint that I have had for years is NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS!!! You either have to go into a restaurant or bar along the lakefront to use the restaurant. Which is a problem, this means you have to leave and either go home or stop at one of the gas stations or fast food restaurants along 190.

Great area for sitting and looking at lake Ponchartrain or exercise up and down the coast. Lots of room to bike, run or walk. The area is affluent and thus well manicured and kept clean.

Best place to relax. Great place to walk outside. Safe and family oriented for people of all ages. Clean. Many things to do, have a picnic, play at the playground, read a book under a tree, fish at Sunset Point or at the other end of the lakefront by Ponchatrain Yacht club. Go sailing or boating into Lake Ponchatrain.

Great place to take a walk or ride a bike. Beautiful scenic views of both the lake and of the houses alongside Lakeshore Drive.

Grew up coming here. Love it. Kids love it. Great for walks and for casual dates.

Great place to just chill out and enjoy nature. Theres a multi use path that you can walk, run or bike on. Kids playground and splash park on the eastern end near the boat launch. Only drawback is the city of Mandeville doesnt allow food or drinks on the lakefront. So no picnics.

Very clean, friendly people, dentist is very gentle

Come enjoy a nice stroll on the paved walkway overlooking the beautiful Lake Ponchatrain. Dogs are welcome on leashes. There are plenty of benches, swings, playsets and swingsets located along the trail to stop and relax or enjoy the beautiful sunsets.At any time of day friends can be seen taking in a nice stroll, going for a jog or just relaxing together.

I love the Mandeville Lakefront. Its a wonderful place to enjoy a walk with a loved one (canine and/or human), a meal or an adult beverage, natural beauty or a jog, walk or bike ride. Mardi Paws is a fun annual event as well as the LPOs fall concert at the Lakefront as well. This is one of the reasons why Im glad I live here :)
