Enjoyed our visit to the Sealife centre however like most visits now, wish it was longer! There are plenty of varieties of fish and all things aquatic. There is a one way system in operation due to covid-19 guidelines which works well to a point. As a result you cant go back to where you have been and often we felt hurried when people were behind us but staff had said take your time at each exhibit before moving on.That said, people were just coming up to us or their children were and standing with us totally ignoring the safety rules.Despite this, we enjoyed our visit and will return in the future. The walk through tunnel is great and I could stand and watch the fish, sharks, rays and turtles all day as its very calming.
We had a great day out. A bit smaller than I thought, but the main important thing is that my kid is really enjoyed the visit and had a fun. All the staff was wearing the face mask, really appreciated it.
A lovely place to while away a few hours. Kids loved it. Definitely better than shopping!!A great selection of different animals and interactive displays (with lots of hand sanitiser around!).Will definitely be coming back as our 2 year old loved it!Staff were friendly and place was clean. What more can I say!
Parking is free for both ( Sea life and Lego land ), because they re both located in a shopping centre at the ground floor . It takes about 45 minutes to visit the Sea life because is got the size of a Primark store . It s a beautiful experience for everyone, especially for kids . The pictures costs about 25£ if you buy as a pack.
Friendly staff. Awesome place to see aquatic/marine animals. Loved the sea turtle and Derek..
We took our son for his 1st Birthday and had a great time! But to top off the great experience and lovely staff... we lost my sons birthday badge and as its all one-way now I couldnt go back to look for it. I left my details at the desk and got a phone call the next day saying they found it and are posting it to me! Its just a little plastic badge so may not seem important, but its my sons first ever birthday badge and I really wanted to keep it so just thought that was so lovely of them to do Thank you! Well be back!
This venue was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It only took us an hour to get through and for what it cost, I think its overpriced!!! The kids did enjoy it and so did the adults but I dont feel that its value for money. Website states you can re-enter but staff refused to let us back in
As a family we make several visits a year to See Life. My kids love it. They have a wonderful array of types of fish. Makes for a nice day out with family.
Get around quicker with the social distancing measures. But the kids still love seeing all the sea creatures and trying the different things to do. Play area is still shut at the moment, which is understandable. Brill for an hour or so walking round
Manchester Sea life is not a worthwhile experience. Nothing is actually good, the fish are not properly kept or looked after.
Great variety of creatures and so many types of tank where you can really get a different perspective!
Amazing place. My son enjoyed it so much.
Had a great time even though restrictions were in place. Great doing the hunt for letters so you spell out the word and get a prize at the end
What was there was decent its just that the experience didnt last as long as Id hoped so I was left feeling as if I didnt get good value for money. That said, I felt the same when I visited The Deep in Hull so maybe Im just setting my expectations too high. Kids liked it.
It is a very beautiful place and we enjoyed it a lot with it. There are beautiful types of fish, organization and cleanliness of the place. They also photograph you when entering and do photo tricks to merge you with the fish. You have the freedom to buy them when you go out.
I used my merlin pass here today and although its small for the full ticket price, i always think the price is worth it for what they do to help our wildlife. So you could spend 15 minutes in side and be finished or you can take a slow stroll, let the kids get into everything and play in the indoor soft play for a bit and a good hour could pass. Its your typical sea life centre, just scaled down and i thought the fish were a little limited in side but me and my kids enjoyed it!
The kids loved it, all round great day out
Love coming here with my little boy to see the sharks. He loves it. It was lovely and quiet when we visited because of the times slots due to covid. So we managed to see bits and pieces that usually its too busy to enjoy properly.
Little hidden gem of the Trafford Centre. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I was shocked how much there was to see! Perfect for young children to explore and learn. We took our 4 month old and he loved it. Try and stick to quiet times; school time/towards the end of the day.
You know its way better than I expected. (Not as good as the deep in Hull but still a cracking good effort. Lots to see. Lots to do. Spent a good afternoon here. Half way round there was a soft play area to let your kids run arround a little. Great idea. Then back to fish!Get a non term time pass for way cheaper. Especially for you and younger kids.
Lovely outing. Sea life Manchester educates while you have fun, seeing different sea creatures.. kudos to them for environmental issues awareness and doing their best to give those whonmight have the opportunity to see these animals up close..
Nice place to take kids . Didnt take long to walk around we was there for an hour . Suggest to get booklets and take ur time walking around.
Poor value for money, youd be best off going to a pet shop.
Very nice 1 1/2 hour visit. Well thought out displays. However, very expensive IF you buy on the day at around £21 per adult (without a promotion). OK, you can return until the end of 2020 (quite a lot of days are excluded) as often as you like, BUT, only to the Manchester Site. Actually, I preferred the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire which is also a lot cheaper.
Lovely place and you must see it, the children will definitely love it.
The exhibitions are good and its a nice way to spend an hour or two. We have annual passes so its good value as we can Bob in regularly, however wouldnt pay full price as its no more than a couple of hours wandering. Also, holidays are extremely unorganised with huge queues and no coherent entry system. Could be handled better.
Brilliant ! Good range of animals. Loved seeing the octopus and touching the star fish and having the shrimp clean your hands. Brilliant soft play too inside to keep them busy in between the fish viewing. Lovely start to the outing with the Turtle Beach. Loved it
Enjoyed watching all the fishes..most importantly very well maintained social distancing
Great little place for a rainy day. Friendly, helpful staff.
From start to finish the experience was amazing. The staff are very friendly and give brilliant descriptions of the animals here. Everywhere is clean and the animals look healthy and well looked after. We all had an amazing time
Very clear social distance rules and sensible number limits. Felt like a pleasant and safe place to visit.
Was expecting more but overall not a bad place to take the kids.
Had a great time at Sea Life Manchester. Spent about 2.5hrs there. The staff were great and theres some very affordable toys in the gift shop at the end
Its a lovely place for children. Lots of fish, lots to see. It is small, you are in there for half hour-hour. Theres a small soft play, really small one, but ots good for young children. it has baby food and a microwave in there and vending machines. Gift shop too. Small but perfect for the kids
Took the kids, friendly helpful staff. Lots of info on all exhibits . Clean safe tidy. Kids had a great time looking for Nemo. Disability friendly
Amazing experience. We loved it. Kids loved it. Perfect.
Short experience but good fun. Very friendly customer service for when we were running a bit late.
Prices could be more reasonable, although it was definitely worth while. Great selection of sea life, the tunnel was incredible showing sharks, turtles, stingrays and other varieties of fish. You get a couple of pictures taken when you walk in and half way round youll see a photo booth where you can choose whether youd like a picture etc, they have good offers for bundle packs. Would like to explore other sea life centres after visiting this one.
Kids loved it spesh my 2yr old and as bonus got load gifts at end for kids defo be going bk
Had lots of fun, decent size aquariums with interactive learning areas for children and adults to enjoy, some areas allow you to touch and interact with small sea life. Cafe and play area halfway through to rest and let children burn off energy. Plenty of space to navigate the facility with prams or mobility aids, gift shop is at the end.
Its great for kids big or small. There is a small soft play area for toddlers, which is handy and also a microwave to warm up childrens food. About an hour and a half is probably about right to see everything there is and have a quick play. Its not as big as I expected it to be but its a nice experience, enjoy.
This place is a beautiful attraction, specially for kids and ofcourse for all the nature lovers. You can see a variety of sea creatures, you can click pictures of them but please make sure flashes are off. Uou can have experience if feeding them as well if you want. The knly thing i dont like personally is the turtle beach projection at the start. Overall superb experience.
A great place for kids and families. A must visit whilst you visit the Trafford centre. Wide variety of dish to look at. My children loved it. They have sharks!! Love these animals. They also have a soft play at the end of the walk around the aquariums. Would highly recommend for a great day out .
We used our friends staff pass to take the kids. About 40 mins worth of entertainment. Its ok nothing special. Cant imagine its worth the usual admission fee. The underwater walk way and seeing Sea Turtles was fun. Also discovered that Pufferfish are cute.
Kids loved it, thank you for being friendly and welcoming
Very few species of sea animals and very limited experience due to contact precautions. Would not recommend.
The sea life centre in Manchester is a fantastic place to visit for all of the family even though restrictions apply during COVID 19 the staff work hard to make sure measures to keep the public safe,A fantastic place to visit very informative with well mannered & plight staff a credit to you all..
Its a good place to spend some time with your children. They will enjoy it.
Staggered that anybody could give Sea Life anything more than a 1-star rating. Massively overpriced and underwhelming! I can only assume people are just delighted to be out of the house after lockdown. A slow walk through, including a toilet break with a toddler and we were done inside 30minutes. We spent 4x as long in the car than the experience took.
Tried to go for a swim with the big fish but the workers weren’t having any of it.
A lovely place for the little ones. Good social distancing measures in place
Our first family trip out since the start of lockdown and it was amazing! our girls loved all the fish and especially dot the octopus. it was so quiet, really great safety measures put in place and the staff were so helpful, informative and really made our trip special. we were there for just over an hour and enjoyed every minute. thankyou!
Not bad, decent enough with small kids. Better to get deal on Lego Land & Sealife.A bit small & not the best aquarium but if you get the Lego Land & Sealife combo deal then it’s not bad for taking the kids out for a day.
Excellent place to visit. Great displays & aquariums, lots of interesting fish life to see. There is enough to keep all the family busy for the day. Nice tunnels to go through with turtles & sharks swimming overhead. Friendly, helpful & knowledgable staff. Highly recommended.
Fair prices and good amount of fish/sea creatures to see.
Had a lovely time, very clean and covid safe and all staff very nice although the pictures and gift shop are expensive, would definately go again
Really enjoyed our visit here. I am extremely fond of the marine life and visiting here was fantastic. Lots of species and aquatic animals. Loved each and every single moment. Touched the star fish and loved their massive string rays and sharks.
Nice educational and sensory experience.Great on a rainy day.
We have been here dozens of time, the kids love it. Granted it is small and doesnt take long at all maybe 1.5hr at a stretch, so we never pay full price there is always a voucher to be used or it wouldnt be worth it. They have added some new sections recently which have massively improved it. There are interactive exhibits, a wide variety of animals including two sea turtles! There is a talk at the beginning where you are cramped in a small section in the dark that we hate so we ask to bypass it which is never a problem
It was nice but the venue is small so it only takes a couple of hours to walk round and see all the fish. There is no where to get a coffee. They do have a little kids play centre in the middle of the displays. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Great family experience. Friendly staff and excellent experiences and hands on learning. Pushchair friendly and helpful staff.
Honestly cannot thank the staff enough, went above and beyond. I went with my nieces and nephews (4 kids to run riot) and the staff interacted with the kids to make their experience. The sea life was really clean and we saw a number of cleaners on our way around. The turtles were my favorite and the kids we sat watching them for about half an hour, the kids didnt want to leave. Many thanks to all the staff, your doing an amazing job, you look happy and smiley and really made our experience.
Got a good deal and had a great time
Great day out my 4 month old loved it looking at all fish swim around. We got the pass where you can go back all year as it works out the best deal than paying to go one off. Was abit of a squash going round with a pram especially when it come to where the mermaid bit was they could try and organize that bit better so you can get past.
Very nice experience with my family for the first time here
It’s so tiny and felt it’s not value for money deal. But enjoyed my short visit here.
Beautiful place, perfect for family with kids, they will enjoy more
Its lovely but alot smaller than other sea lifes
Fish and more fish what more can I say staff are really friendly and helpful got there at feeding time so all the fish were really active Brill
Booked an advanced ticket, when I came to sea life I was told that this ticket is not valid for my visit. Totally unacceptable!
Good value entertainment to keep kids occupied for hours. The aquariums are fantastic but there are also a multitude of information and activities to keep children interested. The giant crabs are a must see!
LOVED IT, first thoughts was before going was why have a sea life centre in land and not by the coast, well my opinion quickly changed WOW its BRILLIANT, the amount of different sea life is great the main tank is just amazing, you will Not be disappointed,
We love visiting th Sea Life Centre in Manchester especially as it is on our door step.We pre booked tickets as requested and were still able to use our promotional vouchers online. We were a little late for our booking having to get three small people and a wheelchair organised but the staff were more than understanding and accomodating especially as they had more than ample social distancing measures in place. There were many friendly and informative staff along the way, accompanied by plentiful signage and sanitiser at our disposal making this a pleasant and enjoyable visit. Visitors were generously dispersed along the exhibits making this feel a safe and comfortable experience. We completed our trip with a visit to the gift store making three soft toy teddies for our children. Thank you Sea Life for a great day out!
Nice day out.
Went on a family day out for my birthday. My niece (baby) absolutely loved it and its great how close you can get to the animals. Fairly decent range of aquatic life and they seem to be in reasonably sized tanks for the breed. However, in a couple of tanks, particularly the one by the entry queue, I noticed fish with considerable fin rot, the glass on the inside was often really dirty, some of the rays seem to have damage to their tails.Clearly there needs to be some serious maintenance to the habitats, whoch is particularly concerning after a significant period of lockdown when there would have been mple time for vets, treatment, cleaning and observations.Had the baby not have loved it so much, this would have been a one star review
Kids love the place. Even though it is a bit expensive it is well worth a visit
Good experience, took our one year old for her 1st birthday and she loved it, very good even for someone her age as it is visually stimulating, staff were lovely and friendly.
The range of creatures they have there is amazing!
Really nice place for a family day out. We throughly enjoyed it! We will definitely come back.
Very fun, learnt a lot about sea animals. Got to sea sting Rays and sharks up close
Wonderful experience, child friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in the morning but wish wed gone in the afternoon when they were feeding the fish
Came with my girlfriend and daughter around Halloween time, the staff were amazing and friendly. You are likely going to spend around 30 mins - 1 hour walking around the sea life attraction.Just a shame theres no cafe by the play area bit.But the main point is my daughter had a good time seeing all the fishs, turtles and crabs
Really nice morning. The chats about the different fish and turtle in the main tank were really really good. Lots of interesting information.
Fun visit for all the family my children aged 3 and 5 absolutely loved it the only draw back I found was the play area where my 3 year old was unable to play because she was getting pushed about by older children maybe if there was space for the younger ones to play it would be better overall we will definitely be going again
My 4 year old loved it, buy your tickets upfront or from the desk in the Trafford centre for discount entry
Great place for the family, add Legoland and you cant go wrong.
Lovely day out at the sea life centre, so much to see, I was worried it might be a little small but actually we spent quite a few hours here.Bit of a pain having to wait to get in if you dont want to buy a expensive photo, although they are nice, just not what we wanted. The lady who showed us some fossils was really informative. We visited with kids from 2-7 I would say the older one enjoyed it most and got more from the visit, reading the info screens and seeing new marine life.
A really interesting place to visit. Best to book online if possible to save some money. The mission pack is probably more for children over 5 that can read things themselves. Includes a soft play bit in the middle that the kids really enjoyed.
Was expecting more attractions, was hoong very slow and took 45 min to finish
Amazing place. Great experience. Loved it
We have been here a number of times and always enjoy it. Each time we go the exhibits have changed slightly and more sea animals are on show. The staff are super friendly and full of knowledge about the sea life and are great with the children asking all sorts of questions. There is a soft play area inside, for the children to have half an hour out, which is good sized, and even when we have visited on half term it has never got over crowded due to its size.It can be pricey to get in however we always look for the vouchers on Kelloggs boxes or Macdonalds Happy Meal boxes that normally get children in free. I dont think we have ever paid full price using these vouchers that are always floating around. Also if you book online prior to your visit you get a discount and if you go via a cash back site when booking online, like Quidco you sometimes get a small percentage back in cashback to!
Fantastic place with lovely staff. The sea turtle talk at the beginning was great! My children absolutely loved it - so much that we went for a 2nd time the next day! The playground for children is great too, the kids spent a lot of time playing in there
Good way to spend a few hours with the family. Lots of fish to see and good educational items. The underwater tunnel is probably the highlight. Its worth a visit
Great place in a great location. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A great number of exhibits lated out well considering the limited space available to them. My son absolutely loves it and so do I as I have been visiting since before he was born. It is also great to seen the conservation work they do and the staff are more than willing to elaborate. Definitely worth a visit and being at the Trafford Centre there is plenty more to fill the rest of your day
Kids enjoyed it ... small play area to take a break and get an icecream and a drink
Never again rude staff and I think the Deep is better
Its good but expensive. Very warm and no lockers to store coats. My daughter loved it though I thought it hadnt changed much since our previous visit two years prior.
Was nowhere near as big as expected, went round in 45 minutes. Not worth the entry money, big shame. Fish looked well taken care of though.
