Nice local movie theater. Never packed. Great price for movies. They need to have a better and bigger selection of food. The times I have gotten food from their it did not taste fresh either The seats are outstanding. Very comfortable.
The theater may not compare to big name theaters in terms of infrastructure and size but it does compete with its cheap prices. It is way more affordable to watch movies here rather than somewhere like regal. The downside being the theater seats arent as nice as regals and theres less movie choices but other than that theres not much of a difference.
Now I gave it five stars because the employees were outstanding. The theater it self is a little old and could use some updates. But the people who work there are great. The popcorn was also great. Sort of like the good old days. I will go again.
Recently found this theater near my apt. Theater is a bit old and run down, but I like it. It reminds me of the theaters I use to go to as a kid in NYC before the multiplex theaters started to come out. Staff is very helpful and Tuesday and Wednesday ALL SHOWS are $5.50!!!!! I eat dinner at home on Tuesday / Wednesday come to the theater in my sweats..watching my movie....and head home. If you are looking to catch a cheap movie. This is the place to go!!!
Cool little dive of a theater. Decent food. No lines. Top movies in small home theater like venues - at least the one we were in, but screens and sound are still big theater sized. Chairs and couches very comfy, nice side tables for drink and food.
Umm...what did I stumble into? I was looking for something close to home and found this dive theatre. Meaning very run down. Old ripped up couches as seats and small recliners. Place smelled moldy as well with the insulation from the ceiling hanging out in some places. The popcorn was stale. Only thing that tasted normal was the coke! They sell beer - I don’t drink but for those who do that may be a plus for them. From what I understand they have a new manager who is working on sprucing up the place. Would def make this my go to theatre if they spruced it up. Tickets were $10 for adults and I think Tuesdays and Wednesday’s are even cheaper.
My wife and I just discovered this theater. Its no frills (concession stand closes early...not many employees...) but they have what you need to see a movie. AND the price is right. I think it was about $6 to see a first run movie. They also will show some of the really great independent movies that arent shown elsewhere in my area. Here you can take the whole family without breaking the bank.
Nice budget theater but you get what you pay for. The place isn’t quite as clean as a nicer place but the service is great. The greeter lady was super nice and the movie and sound were right on point. So it’s worth dropping in for a movie with the kids.
The theater staff was friendly and courteous, but the building interior needs obvious/simple repairs (several missing and damaged ceiling tiles, an exit sign wasnt illuminated). The dated furnishings need basic mending/repair. Its definitely a no frills theater with cheaper ticket prices. Our movie played fine and the manual recliner seats were comfortable.
The place was clean and the movie theatre was empty. This may seem like a bad thing but having a whole theatre to yourself is pretty awesome. The theatre itself was smaller than other theatres I have been too but the place was clean and the movie quality and the screen it was played on were immaculate. This strikes me as the perfect theatre to go to if you dont want to deal with crowds.
This place is fairly small and run down but the employees are super nice and the tickets are fairly inexpensive. They have a dinner theater section with super comfortable couches and recliners. I just wish they had more funding because it could use a serious upgrade.
Manassas 4 Cinema is now closed. We went there often, will miss it. An old-style theater, I suspect the cost to maintain the equipment and seating was just too much. Sad to see it go.
Its always nice and quiet when I go to a movie here. I think.they have the best popcorn too!
Great place to watch a movie. Not a lot of seats making the movie watching experience more intimate. Will be coming back for sure.
I have been to this theater many times, and I LOVE IT! I prefer this over Regal any day of the week! I love that there is a theater with sofas and recliners, and overall, the place is amazing! The popcorn is good, and the popcorn & soda is the same price as normal prices at Regal, for concession! If only I could rate higher than 5 stars...
Its certainly nothing fancy, but thats partly why we love it. Its cozy and friendly and doesnt feel like a chain. The line has never been long, the food is decent and the images are good. Its also less expensive than most other places. It feels like a local place and I love supporting local. If the movie we want to see is showing here, we go here over other theatres.
This place is awesome. Still love coming here.
Simply amazing. I loved the view from the reserved section it was breathtaking plus I like the new seats. Thumbs up to the management. Now youre really doing something.
I was here about a week ago. Good first run theater titles, although some cleanliness areas of opportunity needed, including mens room. Unfortunately, I have to say after having seen another movie 2 weeks ago - since my first visit, the standards are now lower and prices have increased 33% (from $10 to $15, more than main line cinemas). I can appreciate working for employer where it has tough working conditions and you get the feel from it from the staff.
Very old theatre. A bit rundown. But the people are nice. They sell beer in theatre 2. If you dont like crowded movie theatres this definitely the place to go. He screens are better than the rest of the place. The sound is ok. Find an unripped seat and sit back and enjoy.
The place is in a rough shape but its a mom and pop operation so its nice to be able to support it. Also the tickets are less than half what you pay at the big theaters, so that is a very attractive selling point.
The Owner, Bunny is the best!!!! I had surgery on my foot and needed to have it elevated. He had his employees move one of the recliners to the theater for me!!! Best small town feel!! Great food and atmosphere!!!
Needs some renovations but great place to take the kids! Theyre Tuesday and Wednesday deals are incredible!
Best theater ever! Mom and pop run place.. They are so so nice and personal! Very comfy seating in the café and way better prices than the chain movie theaters! I definitely recommend!
Love supporting our local merchants. The people try hard and are very friendly...but its an older facility. Never a crowd and for 10 bucks you cant beat it. Next time dont drive across town to give your money to a big corporation.
This place is a hidden jewel! I have lived in the area for more than 3 years now and JUST FOUND IT LAST WEEKEND. Took my grandchildren to see Paddington Bear and the place was clean and organized. The employees were so nice and welcoming! Cannot wait to go back this weekend for date night! It is for sure the new HOT SPOT for this family.
Recently saw a movie there. Met the owner, great guy! Hes the type of owner to wants to invite the community into his place...not herd like the bigger theaters. Great food, beer and environment.Support your local theater and not the bigger, money hungry, $17/ticket establishments.
Best theater in manassas. polite older employees. no more inconsiderate teens not performing their tasks. great movie offerings. great prices. fresh food and popcorn. refreshing atmosphere. will return as often as twice a week. thank you Manassas 4 Cinemas for being a pleasant experience for your customers.
Its nice for what it is: a small local theater. One of the theaters is furnished with easy chairs, couches, and love seats. Reasonable prices compared to the larger theaters; especially at the concession stand, which seems to be less expensive than most.
Staff was courteous and friendly, however, this place is outdated, needs to be upgraded. Old and worn out chairs.
Movie 1st run was great. Theatre cost was great theatre 4 though in need of a good sprucing up the seats were comfortable. I would recommend to Friends
Great date place, great prices. Beware the popcorn. Often stale
I understand that this is a very cheap movie theatre so its not going to be comparable to Paragon or Regal, but my visit here was terrible. The popcorn tasted flavorless. I was asked if I wanted butter and of course I said yes. The guy squeezed the bottle so hard that he got butter all over his gloves and directly handled my cash right after. Disgusting and unsanitary. I asked for a refund after tasting how bland and stale it was and they said they could not authorize one and offered something else. I opted to wait for new popcorn. They were very kind to deliver it directly to me even though I insisted I could come get it myself. In the end I just dumped the whole thing and my $7 in the trash once the movie was over. The theatre I was in had a random assortment of couches and I wanted to leave because I have had a run-in with bed bugs and I really wouldnt be surprised if they have them in there. I immediately threw my clothes in the dryer when I got home. Great deal for a low budget day out, but I am never going to visit again. I lived in manassas as a kid and this theatre is not what I remember.
The energy was really subdued, so it was a bit awkward going through and trying to get tickets. Otherwise, the space is clean and there were no issues with the audio or visual. The seats are pretty beat up and the air conditioning isnt perfect so it felt a little musty. Fine place to see a film and I think they sell beer.
I have been attending this theatre for several years now. Its friendly staff and ticket prices cannot be matched. At discounted prices on Tuesdays and Wednesday what more could you ask for. The folks who come to see a movie are quiet - unlike other theatres with rowdy kids.
A small, family owned place. Affordable. I support small businesses and I like this theater
Great movie great movie house you should be there. I really loved it.
Seats are more comfortable than other expensive theaters in the area. I love that it is a small, family owned business. And playing mini golf after the movie is fun as well! Dont let the inexpensive ticket price fool you. They may not have all bells and whistles, but it is a great theater!
The tickets and concessions were expensive, the seats were falling apart, and I had to remind the staff to start the movie. Overall, very unprofessional. The only good part about the experience was the movie itself.
This theatre was horrible. The popcorn was burned- you could see the popcorn black... the butter melted (shrunk) the popcorn-like if I popped it at home and put my own butter on it. It was 9bucks so that was a waste; paid for jumbo to get free refill, that didnt happen. Threw the tub away. The theatre was old and falling a part. No cup holders on the arms, they are in front behind the seats in front of you. Theres a security guard (looks like a 300lb Deebo from Friday) he sits in the lobby. The guy taking your ticket is an older man that can barely speak English. He went in twice with a flashlight to show people to their seat!! It was ridiculous! He pointed the light in the guy behind me face!! They didnt start the previews till Showtime and lights went off right when the movie was starting. Stay away!! Go to a decent theatre... not worth the money. Oh and the speakers are some old boxes, it was Sad! There was no surround sound. I could hear everyone in the theatre chewing their burnt popcorn because the sound was so low. -horrible theatre.
Going anyplace else is worth the small extra charge for a clean facility and quality staff. This place is dirty, expensive concessions, and staffed by kids. Last film I went to see started the previews late then played the first 10 minutes with a black screen and just sound. Ruined the beginning and got out much later then expected so dont plan something right after a movie if you are going to this theater, you might break your reservation. The cleanliness is on par for what I would expect at a XXX theater although I bet even they have cleaner facilities.
So, Ive read the other reviews & I decided to offer another perspective...yes, this is surely not one of your shiny new multiplex theatres w/vibrating recliners in every theatre! It is old & kinda dumpy& there are broken/covered seats. BUT, its a throwback to all those small indie theatres of old-great popcorn & treats, super friendly staff, and new showings. It is funky & fun and a definite alternative venue!
This is a locally owned and operated theater. It is clean and not crowded. I do not understand why people drive so far for a theater that is crowded when you can drive 3 minutes...We saw Chappie recently. There were less than 10 people ...Popcorn was good..Staff was nice....It is our theater of choice..
Service not bad, but pricing for some reason always tend to be more than advertised. Good not great, definitely not worth $9 per ticket. Great for the cheap days.
Manassas 4 Cinema is a good and friendly place to watch movie, especially for kids. But it is not a classic cinema compared to AMC and others, though they play new release sometimes. Just for causal, you may want to check it yourself.
If there google reviews had negatives stars. When you walk in it smells like Clorox, everything is super out dated I couldnt believe this theatre still runs, the seats are ripped and some have bags over thing, they need a serious remodel down and I asked if they had nice chairs shes like oh yeah I walk in to seeing office chairs that roll..what the F
Dirty, there were holes in the ceiling and trash bags duct taped to the chairs few chairs that weren’t destroyed. Soda was bad and the movie didn’t fit the already small screen. Easily the worst theater I’ve ever been in.
I love this place. Nice owner. Never had a bad experience here. I love going and supporting the local economy over going to the Reagle or AMC theaters. I have been going here for years and I really enjoy the small town feel of this place. Movie prices are lower than the big places, and they also have $5 Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The owner told my husband and I that they are going to be doing a Valentines 4 course dinner menu and movie. Love this place!!!!
Everything is super expensive here, 6 $ for a small popcorn, 5$ for a small icee. A little dirty, and staff is kinda dry, not shure if its worth goin here, but then again, its kinda like this everywhere.
Enjoyed the movie but had to wait to get into the theater because they were cleaning it. As soon as you walk on the part of the floor that doesnt have carpet u hear nd feel the stickiness on the floor
I love this place! I needs an upgrade but its a cheaper alternative to going to AMC.
Definitely the best way to watch movies for a tight budget. The quality itself is decent, not IMAX or AMC quality but if you go on $5 Tuesdays, I wouldnt complain! The popcorn is pretty decent, and so is the butter topping. The drinks always come out the way they are supposed to, so no complaints there. The seats could use an upgrade, but its still very good for watching a movie for a birthday party or an outing with friends.
Although I love the low prices and yes what you pay is what you get....this place is a total dump. It smells bad, the floors are atroshous, seats are missing, I damn near broke my neck attempting to sit in one tonight! And most seats arent covered! I ordered popcorn and I can say thats the worst Ive ever had! After leaving out of the theater, I shook my scarf and jacket out in case there was anything crawling in it.... I hate to sound so dramatic but this place needs a major update, deep clean and and inspection....
Run down, old style, but cheerful staff
Its a decent theater, its not the best, but not so bad. The food is decent, and there is NO recliner seats.
We love the feel of this theater! Great price and great movie experience!
First thing the place is a remnant of a by gone era. These Cineplexs are the ones that destroyed the great movie palaces. I never really took a shine to these type of movie theaters. They could be too narrow. With everyone packed like sardines. Their sound quality horrible. I knew this place had open from a long time, but been avoiding it for my feeling towards this type of theater. One day I got off work early. They were showing a movie l was interested. It was near, and the price was reasonable. So of course walking in is like stepping into the past. I was expecting a stain crappy screen. With scratches on the film. To my surprise the screen was great. The film beautiful. The sound superb. A month later I learned that all theaters had switched to digital video projectors. I had the place to myself. Felt like I was in a private screening. Ok if youre tired of the hoards at the megaplexs. Then try this place. It has its quirks. The people are very nice. Help support this little ruff gem. Now if they would show back to back episodes of Games of Thrones I would pay
If Im paying to see a movie I expect the equipment to be working. If not, I expect to be told that the movie I am paying for is not working before money is exchanged and not 30 mins after the start time and after we have to go searching for an employee to let them know that the movie never started. And then you have the audacity to tell me you dont give refunds after being told that we have to wait another 30+ mins for the Manager to arrive in hopes that she can fix the problem!?!! Never again will you get my business!!!
My wife and I come here regularly. It is our go to movie theatre. Why, you may ask. First off it is locally owned and operated. It is not one of those mega theatres that could care less about you. The lines here are non-existent, the staff has always been friendly and the popcorn and other food is fresh. The prices are fair and the theatre screens and sound systems are great. The lounge theatre is pretty cool and has comfy couches and recliners. Its like watching a movie in your living room. For those of you that call this place a dump and trashy you should really consider that you are supporting a local business. The more people that come out for showings will bring in more money and they will be able to better keep the place clean an modern. If you have never been here at least give it a chance. Nathans Ice Cream and the Magic Putting Palace are all within the same parking lot so you can make a great evening of putt-putt, movies and ice cream. Give them a chance.
I love this place.. the staff is friendly and the prices are perfect.
The movie theatre didnt have heat and was really cold
Has gotten better than before it closed
Love this place!! $5 Tuesdays especially. Everyone who works here is really friendly, the theaters are clean, and the concessions are delicious!
Nice place for kids nice service a lil small 4 theaters
Cheap ticket prices on tuesday and Wednesday but the floors were sticky, the popcorn was incredibly stale and inedible, and overall the place did not seem very clean.
Love their $5.50 tickets on Tuesdays :)
Nice place. Good movies great price
There were actual trash bags over the seats. I ate some skittles and now I have to throw up and poop. The walls were peeling. Not to mention the sound system...absolutely terrible.
Dont want to pay $10+ for a movie come here! Seats and building are old and not perfect but for $8 dollars a movie & $5 on Tuesday i can ignore the appearance. They also offer a assortment of real food besides the popcorn, nachos& candy choice.
So sad what this place has become. I had high hopes when they shut down for a bit for what I thought was remodeling. Far from it. The popcorn is always stale. So I say well the prices are low. But than you go into the theater and the seats are torn, taped and re-taped with gray duck tape. The floors are filthy. Do they have cleanings between shows? You have the one that is supposed to be for adults where they serve alcoholic beverages. But I have not seen anyone behind the bar the two times I went in there. So disappointing. The food sad. They always say oh we dont have this or that at the moment. Please so better. I decided to just pay more for better quality.
People are so friendly here. Please try and support your local merchants.
Came here because movie we wanted to see was sold out in another theater. Since tickets are purchased on location, I didnt have to worry about missing the movie by going here. Keep in mind there is no sign at night, but once inside staff is super friendly and seats are cushion soft.
Service was good. Its old fashioned but very adequate.
This place is the perfect example of you get what you pay for.Low movie prices and low quality amenities, seats missing some torn. I wouldnt say it was filthy. They do have a theater where you can purchases alcohol.
This place is absolutely disgusting. They know it as well which is why they offer no refunds. The chairs are ripped up and it smells. I wasnt even comfortable enough to sit and eat my food I purchased. Instead of a refund I got a pass to go another time, which I never will and hope no one else does either. If you go ask to walk in the actual theater first. Guarantee youll change your mind. Stay away from here!
I like this place it’s comfy close & convenient;-)
Cool lo key movie spot. First time will not be last
The dirtiest place Ive been. About 1/4 of the seats were covered in garbage bags or were not even there. We stayed for the whole movie but couldnt stop feeling like we had bugs all over us. The floor was just cement with no tile and my shoes would get stuck to it if I didnt move my feet even couple minutes. But at the same time you get what you pay for. Ill be going to... anyway but here
O... M... G... Oldest theatre in town, not clean, seats ripped, insulation coming out of the ceiling, wouldnt even call it a dollar cinema... Maybe a 50¢ museum!
This place is a dump. It is a wannabe cinema cafe. I have never been to a theater with sofas. The place smells weird. I would not eat from this place or visit again if you paid me. Absolutely horrible. Dont believe me? Go see for yourself.
Great small local theater with a great family atmosphere.
Has couches an bean bags to sit in although theyre a little old an could use some TLC i lovdd the comfort of it....only real complaint is the drinks an snacks are way to high, but it is a theater.....
Really nice place to go with your family!!!
Old and dated...but youre going to watch a movie right?
Small but cozy theater with nice snacks and staff
Very run down, but enjoyed the movie and staff was nice.
Family owned. Family Friendly. Budget Friendly.
I would avoid this theater due to the fact that the inside is run down, concessions are terrible and the ticket prices are almost the same as other large theaters.
So I used to work at this place back in July and its almost the end of August and I have yet to be paid. Whenever I call I get ignored and when I go in its the same thing. Why would you ever want to go to a place that doesnt pay its employees on time? Thats pretty crazy. Plus they use popcorn from the night before the next morning ew. I wouldnt recommend going there unless you like to see the cockroaches and bed bugs that run around.
So honestly I dont write reviews but my experience was so terrible I had to. If I can give it could give it a negative star I would. First of all there arent refunds if you decide to leave. Im not going to even touch too much on the appearance of the place once walking inside; the old gloomy and grimy look and smell doesnt get you walking into the actual theater will. Some of the seats looked ripped and terribley warn out, I couldnt get comfortable. The painted floor is pealing all over giving it a spotty leopard look smh. The sound system was piss poor, so was the quality of the picture. When the movie actually played and the lights cut off, evetytime someone would walk into the theater the lady that grabs the ticket would come with a flash light to will flash the person to a seat and later on the lights cut on so a person cut get to their seat faster. What happen to lights on the walk way to lead people to seats? Never have I ever wanted to leave a movie theater till now only reason why I couldnt leave was because they dont refund. Once again I repeat the old smell once you walk in the theater is so unbearable I had to hold my shirt over my nose at times. WARNING DO NOT COME HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
Felt itchy just sitting in those gross seats. nobody was at concession stand, front seat staff just stared never asked if we were helped.
They have closed and may reopen under new ownership.
THIS PLACE SUCKS! it is very dirty and grimey! the kitchen had mold in it, and the bathrooms smell like pee and are always out of soap, paper towels, or out of order! Not to mention the owner of the place is very stingy on how he operates. I would only reccomend this place if you are looking for a cheap ticket, but only on Tuesdays. the prices are WAY TOO HIGH for a ghetto plex like this!
I think it is one of the best theaters Ive been to
That place is amazing, cheap and nice for all family
Love the prices and never crowded. Just took the kids to see Boss Baby. Another good experience.
Small theater. Cheap tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday. 22 dollars for the four of us.
I will say the popcorn here is better than anywhere else. Why no other theaters use Flavacol anymore, I have no idea. And June Chapman, the reason there were only 10 people in Chappie is because it was Chappie. lol
Very odd place. Especially screen three, but they have matinees and good prices
Shabby chairs. Very warm
