This hiking retreat is a great place for a hike solo.. or with friends.During our hiking visit.. we were sent in the goat detour trail tour.. I think we made 40 4 legged friends today LOL Trails are well marked and groomed.. I would suggest you dont going down the trails too late.. because theres no path lights etc.. for 1st timers, that dont remember their way back easily yet

Beautiful park on Lake Monona, great amenities and fantastic view of the city. nice hiking and cross-country skiing as well.

Very disappointing in the winter, this could still be highly utilized from the public but they dont plow any of the trails.

Very lovely park. Kid friendly and clean. Left side of the park has a boat launch, and amazing view! In December they do a drive-through festive light show. Very big and nice park

Excellent short hike a stones throw from downtown. Nice for snowshoeing and skiing too.

Loved it.we saw a Bald Eagle flying over the Hwy n followed the bird to this amazing point

Nice spot for quiet walks in the woods and a good view of monona terrace and Capitol building
