Great discgolf course. Nice splash area. Great cross-country skiing and skating ring in the winter. Tail areas to wander over the wooded ridge. Nice size with enough room to be alone, but also small enough to be part of the community.
Disc Golf coyrse is incredible, great holes and the brush was recently maintained. Tees are in great condition. It has pro tees and amateur and both are reasonably challenging. Take a picture of the map before you go as there are some crossroads in the course where if you go the wrong way you could skip some holes. On 18 just grip it and rip it!!!!
Fun playground. One slide for 2-5 year olds. Majority of it 4-12 year old appropriate. Picnic tables and pavilion. Off street parking lot.
Elver Park is the best example of what you can do with an old dump. The kids playground is really big and fun. When there isnt a pandemic, the splash pad is great to. If you are into disc golf oh, it has a great course. If you just want to go for a walk in the woods its great for that too.
Its HUGE which is great in this time of social distancing. I love the walking path that surrounds the 4 (or 5) enclosed baseball diamonds adjacent to soccer fields. It is wheelchair accessible. I love the hill..I call it Mt. Elver! The park has been updated and includes a water sprout (as close as were gonna get to a WI Dells commercial) mainly for kids. The disc golf trail is MAGNIFICENT! I dont play, but Im willing to be a groupie ! Great exercise and scenery...I feel like Little Lea Riding Hood in there...
Very nice park. Clean well maintained. My kids loved it.
Very big park you can find space for your FAMILY to eat and enjoy the fun day
Cleanest tennis courts in madison, an amazing location to just have fun! Plus the hill to climb is awesome
Love the disc golf course here! One of my favs
Beautiful park with lots to do. There is a playground, basketball courts, and an 18 hole disc golf course amongst other things. Well maintained and kept; two men were cleaning up trash in the parking lot at 8am.
Jungle gym Great hills, nice Trail, a pond and a Disc golf course. This park has a little of everything
This park was quite an enjoyable experience for my son, 5 y, and me. We essentially went on an adventure exploring the park, and decide to walk through a *portal* we found at the park into a whole new world. There, we explored the world through the imagination of my son which was so much fun. We essentially found our way back through the portal onto Earth ️.The park is quite clean. Theres disc golf for a small cost. Its a great place for a walk or jog. We definitely will be coming back soon for another adventure .
Great family setting and great place to go out and social distance. Stay safe people.
Lovely quiet place to find a picnic table in the shade and eat lunch. A few people in and out.
Lots of room and lots of things to do.
The hills are glorious and the disc golf is sublime.
Great little hiking area. Also disk golf!!
Kids loved the tube spinner!!
Im rating the disc golf course specifically because thats what I do at Elver. Great 18 hole course in a peaceful forest on the edge of town. They have multiple tee and basket locations for each hole. Its $5 to play unless you have a season pass. Theres also a playground and pool, and a grill out area. But Im usually just here for the disc golf
Splash pad closed but big park fun playground
Love this park. They remodeled it. So its super nice. And in the Summer they have the splash pad open for the kids.
Elver Park is a great place to ski, snow shoe and ice skate in the winter, good summer stuff too. Lots of hills so its fun.
I really like the improvements that they made to this park. The playground is super nice now. And it has an amazing sledding hill for in the winter. Brings back lots of memories from my childhood ️ this park.
Soooo much to do here. Huge splash park, hiking, disc golf, ice skating, sledding, basketball, a huge playground. Such a nice park with a giant sledding hill ! Kids can never be bored here
Great winter activities, sledding, XC, ice skating. Everything is BYO.Safety/Etiquette note: when climbing the hill, please do so from the sides rather than right up the middle.Hills is steep enough to gain really good speed, and I witnessed many near misses that could have easily been avoided.
Quiet and relaxing while I was there.
Awesome spot for renting winter sports equipment! The cross country ski trails are amazing!
Best disc golf in the city.
Great place for sledding after a good snow. Great trails for cross country skiers as well.
Fantastic winter playground. Enjoyment for the whole family. Excellent 4 season park for many activities.
Wonderful playground and facilities
Best disc golf course in Madison!
A lot of suspicious activity in the parking lot
Awesome place for winter fun.... it is free and kids will love it. Sometimes it gets crowded.
I aced a hole in disc golf here...so its pretty great
We had my daughters birthday party here and its just perfect for toddlers! They have baby swings but also big kid swings that are small enough for toddlers. They have several big play structures with different size slides. The kids just played on the playground and didnt care about the cake or anything! Also, if youre coming with toddlers, go before 11:30 because thats when the big kids show up. We went at ten and it was perfect.
I have fun in winter time and summer time...except for a few things
Nice new playground. Plenty to range from toddler to young school age. Also tons of greenspace and the sledding hill. This playground does get very busy and you need to keep a closer eye on your kids.
This park is amazingly beautiful. I have been sledding and hiking here for years. When I used to live close by my family and I would hike down to Elver and watch the fireworks. Unfortunately they do not have fireworks here anymore but it is still a fun place to go. In the summer there are so many activities to do here. The big community building on the side of Elver is a nice addition they made awhile ago. You can go inside and sit at the table to have lunch. There is also another eating area by the playground.
Great park went disc golfing here
Very nice park, brand new playground and a very popular disc golf course. There is a splash pad for the kiddos too! Very family friendly
Nice-sized urban park with multiple summer & winter activities.
This place has everything for every season! Ice rink, with skate rentals to relax in the cool air. Sledding hills for the rush of cold air in the face. Cross country skiing for a great workout with great trails. Thats just winter!!!Summertime has disc golf, splash park, and great hiking trails! If you like being outdoors, youll like Elver Park!
One of the only places to xc ski when there isnt snow on the ground(Wich seems to happen way to much).
I love Elver Park most in the summer when the splash pad is open. With the new barrier free playground my children enjoys staying and playing in the park even longer.
My kids always enjoy the par most in the winter
Good skiing on soft new snow. Windy day
Was dissapointed to discover that you had to pay to cross country ski. It was also too warm for the rink.
Best family fun ever to go sledding
A lot of kids not wearing masks
First time we played frisbee golf and it was really fun. My 3 and 6 year old also loved the water fountains to play in.
Great park. Monster hill for walking. Disc golf. Lots to do.
One of Madisons most beautiful parks. Good hiking if you like hills.
Theyve got something for everyone.
Elver is a huge park with a ton of options! It has two covered shelters (both of which can be reserved), a splash park, disc golf, athletic fields, walking paths, softball fields, soccer fields, a huge hill for running or sledding, ski trails in the winter, ice skating in the winter, basketball courts, tennis courts, a handicap-accessible playground, and tons of parking. With so many options, there are always people in the park. The disc golf and ski trails have daily permits or season permits that are required for use.
Its a huge park with a playground and sports facilities. A good place for a public or family outing.
Elver Park has it all! Tons of winter activities from sledding to ice skating to cross country skiing. Summer fun includes hiking, any number of sports activities and an awesome new park and splash pad for the kiddos. We love having this park close to home!
A very relaxing and quiet place for family gatherings. The children love water play there so much.
Always come here often in the summer. Disc golf course is fun and well maintained. You can get some great walking and exercise in here. While I dont play tennis, they have some decent courts. The several pavilions are nice, and the splash park seems like a great place to bring the young ones.
Nice park with splash pad, farmers market, playground and a nice paved walking trail as well as many trails unpaved.
Great family park! Splash pad. Cross country skiing. Sledding hill. Ice skating. Good playground equipment.
Elver Park is probably the biggest in Madison that you can enjoy any area and relaxGreat place for group gatherings or one-on-one conversations
Massive park with a lot of options for activities. Good facilities on site.
Amazing park, especially during the winter. Concessions arent overpriced. Equipment rental prices are reasonable. Sledding slope is gentle, little risk of injury for younger ones.
Amazing uphill trail for anyone looking to get in tune with nature or practice healthier outing choices
Overall a very nice park. Good sled hill in the winter and nice wide spaces along with park for kids. I used the tennis courts at my visit today and it needed some work. Weeds were coming up in the middle of the course and some big cracks.
Great for kids
Great park with space for everything. From a small pond to huge Hill, disk golf to an amphitheatre. Its got it all.
Playground was great. I love the diversity.
Never been here before nice place
I was here for the disc golf. The course is a little Spartan at times but the holes get better as you go.Nice new shelter and swim area.
Great times were had by all
Best disk golf near Madison. The last hole is especially fun.
Great sledding hill in the winter!
Great enclosed splash pad and new playground
It had a bunch of nice people and a tennis court a basketball court and a water park
So much fun for the family
Great sledding hill. If you were to see a sasquatch and be running from it the hill would be a great place to either run down (in the summer) or even sled down (in the winter) to gain some distance.Be careful some people are rumored to see chi-a-labuff
Beautiful large park near the mall. Lots of space for sporting activities. It also has a splash pad and park shelter where parties and large gatherings can be held.
For a pay to play disc golf course, its surprisingly underwhelming in terms of design and maintenance. However, the rest of the facilities are very nice and plenty of parking.
One of my favorite parks!!!!
This park has pretty much everything you could want in a park. There is a nice playground, a splash pad, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, disc golfing, and hiking. During the winter months, there is ice skating with the option of a small hockey rink, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. They rent out all the equipment at a very reasonable rate. Oh, and there is plenty of free parking available here.
Community parks are super important
This is a great park for the proximity to where I live and offers skiing rentals and a sledding hill in the winter. For the warmer months, theres a disc golf course through the woods and prairie. They also have several courts.
Great center very resourceful
A great place to get some sun
Great 18 hole disc golf and a splash pad.
