Really nice people, and good ambience. All the wines were really fruity and sweet which seems to be a very midwestern habit. But honestly would not be back due to lack of varietals and not liking really sweet sugary wines. IF that is your thing though, youll love it here for sure. Worth a try!

We visited the winery this Fall for the first time. The gardens were being transformed from summer to Spring plantings. The staff treated us like friends. We enjoyed sampling their wines and brought home several bottles. The cherry was particularly delicious! Jim and I look forward to attending the Festival of Trees in December. Lanthier Winery is simply a wonderful experience. Luv the Sangria. Husband said the Vodka is excellent. Weve never tasted a wine from there we didnt thoroughly enjoy. Beautiful grounds, cozy environment, friendly & knowledgeable associates. The owners go above and beyond for their customers. They taking immense pride in their business and community. Consider supporting their small business, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I rode down to Madison for an overnight get away. My wife and I were looking for new winerys to try and found this gem. The decorations were amazing! We definitely decided to come back in the spring to see the gardens.To the wine...The employees were excited to serve us and carried nice conversation during our tasting. We are sweet wine drinkers and they didnt disappoint! We tasted several and then purchased a cold bottle of Strawberry Blush! We walked down to the river and enjoyed the scenery and delicious wine. We will definitely be back! Thank you

I was happy to buy several to take home!As much as I look forward to the Sangria and Cherry spritzer every year, this year the premier of Silver 25 regular and Lemon stole my heart!! The Lemon Squealers were simply AMAZING!!! So smooth and refreshing!None of this would be so much fun without the ever generous, kind, friendly staff at Lanthier!!Thank you for providing an opportunity to get a taste of normal in a very difficult year! It was so nice to be there, have plenty of room to social distance and feel safe while being a part of one of our favorite weekends in Madison!Looking forward to next year already!

I had the pleasure of stopping by Lanthier Winery last Sunday and had a wonderful time. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating and made the wine tasting a very memorable experience, even for someone who may not be that well versed in wine, like myself. The garden was absolutely beautiful this time of year. It was so nice to take a break and relax in one of the seats in the back in the garden that after walking around the town I came back to finish my day there.

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, a simple glass of wine is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Yesterday, I experienced something new: an extraordinary vodka from a singularly unexpected, Irish source. To say that both the drink and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine liquor is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist *can* come from *anywhere*. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now brewing at the Lanthier Winery, who is, in this critics opinion, nothing less than the finest distiller in the Midwest. I will be returning to the Lanthier Winery soon, thirsty for more.

Lanthier Winery is an absolute must-see stop if you’re visiting Madison. Its classic architecture, gorgeous garden, and cozy interior are only surpassed by the friendly and helpful staff! The wine selection is extensive and delicious, and I cannot wait to visit again to try their brand new vodka. I wish there was an option for six out of five stars! :)

This place is the best! I come down every year and it’s just really a great environment. I liked how they had less vendors for the corona virus and they spaced everything out too!

Perfect weekend for a wonderful event. My kiddos loved the cray pumpkins, and the Sangria was delicious. Plenty of space outside on a busy day. Can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful experience! Staff were pleasant and friendly. Originally I was worried about Covid 19 and coming to the festival. But rest assured they have done their part to help stop the spread of the disease.

It is a truly rare occasion where I find myself inclined to share my deepest praise for a simple glass of Beaujolais nouveau. Yet, like some telestic mania of Plato, as the wine passed my lips, I felt my very soul purified and returned to its ideal state of perfection. The quiet hum of good-natured activity that permeates the Lanthier Winery fell away as I closed my eyes and savored the rich bouquet of flavors commingling in their fantastic wine. I do not know whether Bacchus himself has turned his favor upon this cozy, little winery; but it has forever changed my life for the better.As I returned from my journey of enlightenment, I was greeted by a burly, Irish gentleman who informed me of a new vodka he had crafted for the winery. To make a long story short, I shall be returning to Lanthier winery on a weekly basis from now on!

Such a beautiful place, especially in the winter. You can try wime samples for free. And if you dont want to sit inside you can walk around their beautiful outside area.

The place is beautiful. We had our engagement photos done at this location. We also been showing my parents the area and we went for a Wine Tasting. Ended up buying 3 bottles if that tells you how much we enjoyed our time there.

Really beautiful surroundings. The wine selection is pretty good. There is a wide selection of fruit sweets and semi-sweets. Their dry red is decent if the fruits arent your thing.

They have wonderful products and a great atmosphere. The outside property is pretty as well. With complimentary tastings youll find something you enjoy.

Wine tasting is complementary. Staff was quite friendly.The festival of trees is an absolute must see! When we pulled into the parking lot, we couldnt fathom that they truly had 100+ or even 50+ decorated Christmas Trees, but they sure did! Different sizes and different decorations.

Wonderful wine and delightful staff. This winery does an outstanding job with the Harvest Celebration, the last week in September. The gardens are spectacular and so delightful to explore. The Artists represented are of exceptional quality. Well worth your time to come meet the artists and taste the wines. You will have to take some home. Try it.

Definitely a great place to have a wine tasting. Everyones favorite was a cherry wine spritzer with half wine half off brand sprite. We took home a few bottles and they were very reasonably priced.
