Great place for creative minds. The service from the younger staff member, sorry, I didnt get her name was completely rude. When our party of 7 walked in we where met with a blank stare until we (the guests) asked what we should do and where we are going to be sitting. She didnt really know even though this party had been booked for a few weeks. She then left and the other staff member had to really pick up her slack. The rude staff member asked us if we where good because she needed to go eat. We werent given proper supplies so the nicer staff member took her time to explain the brushes to be used. The business is great however that 1 staff member really needs to go. I will be there again regardless of my 1 experience
I have been to Fired Up Pottery twice now, and I will be coming back! The first time I came here I glazed a large pitcher for watering my plants. They fired it in the kiln, and I came back a week later to pick it up. The second time I went here, I decided to work with glass! I placed pieces of glass together, they will fire it, and Ill be picking it up next week. My husband and I had so much fun! Im definitely going to rent their room so I can have a party here with all my pals.****EDIT Ive attached photos of my husbands and my finished glass pieces. We strung them with chain. Im super happy with how they turned out!
Its a pretty lit place. Lots of sculptures to choose from and colors as well.
Such a neat place. My kids and I had a great time. Kim & staff were so friendly and helpful.
So much fun! Lovely and helpful staff and your work doesnt take long to get returned to you. Always had a great time here.
My wife and I came here for some clay pottery lessons. I hope to develop my skills and grow into a potter. The instruction is informative and comfortable. She has years of experience that is an asset to the learning process. I cannot wait to continue learning and creating here.
Cannot say enough good things about this. I went with my baby and toddler to make a gift for their grandma, and the staff went way above and beyond my expectations!!! We had a really lovely time and the project turned out super. I was so impressed and grateful!!
My boyfriend and I love coming here on the weekend! The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of paints and glazes and the wheel lesson was excellent.
This is such a fun and very unique experience. Kim and her whole staff are there to help and guide you if you want - or simply set you up to work alone if you prefer. So easy to get blissfully lost in creating something beautiful.
My girlfriend and I came for a pottery class for an anniversary, and let me tell you it was so much fun. the instructor kim was cheerful, knowledgeable, and very patient. She was excellent at gauging your skill level and helping where you need it. If you are looking to take a pottery class this is the one for you! So much fun, I know I already said that but it need to be said again
A fun place to go. Over the years I have enjoyed taking my sons here to do fun art projects and creative painting. The staff is always nice and their selection/prices are great too.
Fired up has been an integral part of my sons art journey since he was 5 years old. Taught by his GodMother to fuse glass at 3, Dillon had been told that he was too young to fuse at other local studios. We were so thrilled to find Fired up Pottery. Kim and her staff are amazingly patient, creative and inspiring for artists of any age or ability. And, the mix of scheduled and drop-in studio time makes it unbeatable.
Working with Kim and her staff at Fired Up Pottery on our fundraiser was so easy and FUN! All of our participants had a great time and many ended up adding additional projects to their order. After a quick 2 hours our group had made almost $300 to put toward our youth camp scholarships. This was the first exposure for many to glass fusing and all the projects turned out beautiful. Kids as young as six were able to create a wonderful glass piece. The adults enjoyed the creative experience as well with many wanting to do more glass fusing.
This is such a wonderful place. Whether youre looking for somewhere to go with the kiddos or for a night out, its the perfect place to get creative. Theyve always been extremely helpful and generous when I take my family there. We especially love the glass crafts. Cant wait to go back soon!
We had a birthday party here. The host was amazing and all of the kids had fun
Very highly recommended! The staff was encouraging, helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. The experience that I had working there was great and I would highly recommend Fired Up for anyone wanting to experiment with or open the door to creative expression. Great experience there!
Great experience! Visited around noon today- want to say an additional thanks for the help we got. Not many can balance helping child and infant with checking guests out, welcoming new and doing it alone. We will visit again, hopefully without spilling m&ms on the floor this time!
I love it there. Theres not many places in the Madison area that still have wheel throwing as an option, not to mention the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And the cherry on top, its insanely cheap for open studio time without a time limit (you could throw all day and still pay less than $10).Its worth your time (and money) to stop in and check it out, especially if youre looking for a place to throw.
Great staff and a great experience. My only gripe would be their prices are a bit on the high side.
Super fun place to create without a lot of hassle! Well be back!!
I use their pottery wheels every week for hours and love it! The staff is friendly and very helpful and the owner has taught me lots of technique since I have started coming. Highly recommend it.
Super helpful staff and a lot of cool ideas and option for painting, coloring pottery and making baked glass. Great that you can come in at any time without registering for a class.
Great staff! Always polite. Store is clean.
Out of towners beware! Do not add Fired Up Pottery to your list of things to do while in Madison. They have a policy that they throw away your pottery after 60 days. My sister recently visited the area and went to Fired Up Pottery for a beginner pottery class. Since they live out of town, they asked multiple times to hold on to their pottery until they were able to pick it up. When they were finally able to pick it up, they had thrown it away without warning.
Third or fourth visit. Very family friendly, super helpful staff, been happy with the product results every time.
Create a memory
Prices are very high. Fun environment but I felt like the staff was more interested in their lunch order and talking with each other than helping me the customer.
Super friendly staff! Definitely not the last time Im going to be here!
