I ordered for instore pickup only to show up to a closed store. The sign on the door and the website both say that its temporarily closed. Its the busiest time of the year for them.. what the heck?!

Customer service was nice. People are always kind at the register. Making returns is easy too. I kind of wish that you wouldnt have to stand and wait in the regular line to make returns, but its alright, usually goes really fast. One time, the lady who was checking out my items gave me a generous discount I was not expecting! The reason I give it four stars is because I wish Michaels employees knew more about the crafts/art supplies theyre selling at the store. For someone just starting out, like me, it would be nice to get more help/info/advice on the different kinds of paints, for example, when I say I would like to paint glass, instead of someone just showing me ALL the acrylics, and saying any of these will work. I am left to figure out the difference between five different types/brands/prices of paint by myself. Overall a great store with great people! (Oh, and youll find lots of great books for learning how to draw here, if thats something that interests you!)

You are going to want to remember to download coupons. Nice store and it does have good selection . . Im a bit bias because Im an A.C Moore fan.

This is one of my favorite places here in Lynchburg to get seasonal decorations for fall, Halloween and Christmas. Theyve got a lot of cute stuff and always at good prices. Im not super crafty so I dont buy many of those items but Ive gotten cute notebooks and planner here before as well.

I just bought extra bracelet which I bought in Michaels 5 years ago. Still they have it... $1.00 each.

I got to the store late today because I had to wait a while for another store pickup. I marked that I was on my way and that I was there but then I noticed it said curbside was done at 6 and it was 6:59. I called the store and a young lady answered the phone I told her that I was here to pick up an order and asked if I should just come inside to pick it up. She advised they were closing in a minute and asked if was I close. Not even thinking about reduced hours during this pandemic or knowing they closed at 7 I told her I was in the parking lot. She was nice enough to pull up and process my pick up at closing. As I approached another gentleman kindly told me they were closing and I told him I was on the phone with someone in the store. He was kind and made sure I knew my pick up order was coming and politely asked me to wait outside then brought it out to me. They didnt have to do that but they did and they have no idea how helpful they were. I own a small business and needed those canvases for an order. I have been experiencing vehicle issues and would not be able to come tomorrow morning because my husband would have my car since I was off. I didnt have to say any of that they were kind and helpful which is nice during these crazy times. I wish I remembered their names so they could be recognized for their efforts. I work in retail and I know when closing time comes systems are being shut down and employees are preparing to go home to their families so I was beyond appreciative! Ive never left a review before thats how much of an impact it made!

After going several other places and comparing prices Michaels had the best price on the Christmas Tree I wanted.

We dont have a Michaels in my hometown so it was great to visit the Lynchburg store. I needed a few things....and then HAD TO have a few more finds...ALL ON SALE! Cant wait to visit again!

This is a great Craft Store!! I always find what i am looking for. I was looking for a picture/Poster Frames. I found the perfect ones - on sale buy one get one free. They have a nice selection, staff are friendly, and always having wonderful sales.

Had very little of the Red Heart yarn in stock and the sales Lady was rude.

This store is one of my happy places. Its always bright and clean, and their sales can provide some great deals. The employees are always friendly, and Ive even experienced employees using coupons for my purchase I didnt know were available to just save me that much more.

Items shown in stock at local store. Employees look for 30 seconds and say oh we aint got it. Yet you can order online and pick-up.

Lots of selection for crafts and gifts for the crafter in your family. We got a porcelain from my mother in law loves once my wife painted it all her favorite colors, she placed it in her garden and admires it all the time! Friendly staff who love to help and expedite you thorough

Its what you expect from a craft store. I wish they had more along the lines of woodcarving and inlay tools and materials. The crushed or powdered stone vase filler can be used for some when it comes to the brighter colors. With the darker colors, grey, black, or purple, they just dont have the shine things like black jet, or amethyst would have after being polished.. I would like to see them carry stuff like this in the future. On a Good note the staff is always super friendly, knowledgeable and willing to provide advice and recommendations.

I love the selection of merchandise BUT their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I made a purchase on line to pick up in store the next after. There is a poster in the entrancewith at the button to notify staff that you are there to pick up your order. I pushed the button and waited. I waited 10 mins and pushed it againThe red light assured me it was working. 10 mins later, I pushed it again and again 5 mins after that. Finally, I stopped an employee who was helping another customer. Told her what I wanted and how long Id been standing there. She got my order and even took it to my car for me. Im disabled and use a rolateor/walker to get around. Id ordered a cart which I expected to be in a box. Her attitude left me feeling like I was keeping her from something more important.

I love this store, they have alot of options for crafts, events etc. The space is huge and it will take you awhile to scan the entire store, unless you know exactly what you are looking for. Every area is clearly marked so that you can go directly to the area that you you need. Its always neat and clean and the staff is helpful.

Michaels for some work purposes was always nice to see you when there is a doorbuster sale on things you need like canvas with paint while Perus me all the Christmas items that they already had found yes its too early watching Christmas movies with never too early to be putting things in storage

My favorite Arts & Crafts store! They have a great selection of just about anything you could possibly imagine and every time I go I get more and more ideas of things that Id like to create. The prices are reasonable and theyre always having sales and good coupons which helps a family budget. Highly recommended!

I will never buy anything online from michaels again!!!! I ordered a cricut explore air 2 on 11/30/2019 and they didnt ship it until 12/08/2019 I dont know why it took almost 2 weeks to even ship. I called customer service and got no answer I went online to do an online chat with customer service and I recieved NO response. I have emailed and called and as of today 12/13/2019 I still have NOT received my items even though my credit card was already charged 226$ 2+ weeks ago!!! I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM HERE AGAIN DUE TO LACK OF RESPONSE AS IN NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOR THEM TAKING 226$ and I NEVER RECIEVED THE PRODUCTS. I HAVE CALLED EMAILED AND ALL SO I CANT EVEN GET MY $$$$ BACK IF I WANTED TO BECAUSE NOBODY WILL REPLY FROM MICHAELS THIS WAS MY FIRST ONLINE ORDER AT MICHAELS AND IS DEFINATELY MY LAST!!!!

I find the Lynchburg Michaels to be full of employees who do not wish to be there or at the least, seem disinterested in assisting many customers. Not only that the store is overstuffed with inventory and could use a more logical lay out. The saving grace for this store is that they still have, for the most part, far higher quality supplies than Hobby Lobby which I found as a disappointment. There is another hobby store in Lynchburg but while the staff is better, the merchandise is not.

If you are looking for popular crafting materials, this is a fine source. Sometimes it is hard to find the right section quickly, but friendly staff can help. Sometimes the wait in checkout line is a bit long.

Michaels in Lynchburg has a great selection and has been recently redone a bit to make it even better. Now that they accept competitor coupons they draw me in a little more than before. Aside from sewing crafts, Michaels seems to have everything you could need or want.

The store had a lot of products, but so many shelves were empty. There was no one around to help, though there were several people working and the cashier was fairly nice, but just didnt seem all that interested in helping.

Michaels has grown a decent, if not over priced, selection of good quality arts and crafts products in the last few years. Always shop with their weekly coupons and youll do ok, just be prepared to wait in line a while. The front end of the store in not covered very well and is a nightmare during peak hours.

Nice store. Helpful employees. Good place to buy frames and especially if you need something custom framed. I dont like that they are always a season or more ahead. Today, June 30, they already have a good supply of fall decorations out.

I really do love this store but one thing I do hate about it is that every time you want to use a coupon theres always some type of restriction. It gets frustrating when you think you can go in and get a deal on top of another deal and you get to the register and they tell you that its already on sale or already there everyday low price and you cant get the additional discount. I guess its my fault for maybe not checking the tiny print but it happens all the time to me

Disgusted by sanitation of restrooms. Called and complained, workers have previously reported to corporate nothing has been done. I witnessed a young girl unable to wash her hands because of a non-working sink. Unhumane and just wrong! Corporate take care of your employees first!

Brought caron yarn there the first time and they had it on the 7.99 shelf but when they scanned it it said 9.99 well the first time they gave it to me for the 7.99 price. Well I needed more of that color I go back and this nasty girl tells me its on the wrong shelf and I had to pay the 9.99 after I told her it was on the same shelf last time. TWO WEEKS APART! All of the yarn like that was on that shelf. Learn how to stock your shelves and check them to make sure theyre stocked correctly a dollar doesnt matter but still If we see one price thats the price we should pay! And dont treat the customer like we are lying check your dang inventory on the shelf.

I went to this store to browse after a long stressful day. There was a group of people shouting throughout the store for the ENTIRE hour I was there. They were so obnoxious the store actually emptied of customers. This isnt the stores fault, but I feel something should have been done within the HOUR of these people SCREAMING all over the store!UPDATE: Returned to store last week. I had ordered online and had to pick up items. Online items are picked up back in the frame center. We waited in line for MAYBE a minute and the girl called for help which arrived IMMEDIATELY. (A+++) Then we shopped for a few and during checkout our cashier was EXCEPTIONAL!!!! SO..I apologize for being negative about a few customers...I am upgrading my 3 stars to 5 stars!!! We will be going back soon!!

I ordered something to pickup and found that I spent more time waiting to pick up the item than if I just went to the store to purchase it. Maybe they dont get as much online orders, but it wasnt a great experience

They have great stuff but are very pricey. With things like pinterest and etsy out there they should be looking to provide better prices. Still, we go there at least once a month to enjoy the seasonal things and usually pick something up.
