Place has gone from bad to worse. No nightlife, closed several days a week. Used to be a great place. The people that own it need to sell to someone who cares about it. Feel bad for the property owners on site. Poor management is killing the property values along with the business itself.
Will not ever visit here after verifying no outside alcohol allowed. We visit other resorts a lot and they do not have these rules. The cost of the visit spiked astronomically when you add in purchases only from their bar. Try other resorts that are more relaxed in this area and not so greedy.
Clean, friendly. The food brings it from being 5 stars, but you can always go eat from a variety of places off premise.Definitely worth a visit or stay
Good place to let it all hang out. Good food and drinks at good price. Friendly staff. All pools and hot tubs open for enjoyment. CDC guidelines are in effect
An amazing place with friendly open minded people. The young lady working the front desk is very helpful and will go out of her way to make sure youre comfortable! This review is based off of the night of 09/25/2020. The bartender Gladys is beyond amazing!
The allow smoking and vaping everywhere despite no smoking signs everywhere. People openly seated in front of no smoking signs smoking and valing. Nobody cares. Food is marginal at best.
The people are fabulous even the ones from out of town the so friendlie you must come and enjoy this I did
I had lots of fun...nice people nice facilities....
Seems like a very nice place, I happened to go when it started raining and ended up being the only one there, I will most definitely try again
My second time there was better than the first except the weather.
Very relaxing place would have liked to have seen a few more people there I dont think they advertise or have enough marketing for the way that place is looks there should be way more people in there but me and my wife enjoyed our time 5 stars
I know things are different but how can you build a business if you dont allow new people in until noon. You are missing maybe breakfast lunch and dinner and all those drinks in between. People who come out and pay in the morning are planning to stay the day and spend the money on food and drinks. Poor business and not like the place is packed with members everytime I go it is very slow not like years ago. They need someone who know people and marketing to make this club great. Fyi members like to see new faces. Good luck
Visited as a delivery driver many times. I didnt have much interaction with the residents other than those I was delivering too, but those that I did were pleasant. There is a mixture of apartments, condos, houses, and mobile homes. Actually a pretty large area. I believe i read that it was the largest nudist community in North America.
The property is aging and is not really being maintained all that well. The rooms are small and lacking in amenities. The hours of restaurants are a bit erratic. The food is good but not outstanding. The taco nights in the restaurant are the best feature and bargain price. One day they had live music on the pool deck. The group was fantastic.
We have been here a few times, and each time the service wasn’t good. Although the staff is nice they are not trained, I feel sorry for the staff, They just throw them into their jobs without trying. My other major issue was our room had no hot water our entire stay. I spoke to 3 different staff members. I got the “oh well” attitude and nothing was done. Also the front desk staff is not very customer service friendly. No one wants to address any issues a guest may have. Sad to say we will not be coming back .
It was ok. For member you can bring a bag in and folks that come on a day cant which is Totally Crazy. And you guys know, that the ladies bring stuff from home that they need . I m I Right!!! Check my bag, I have nothing to hind. There I said my Peace!! The food and service at the bar was Excellent!
Having a band poolside was fun. Dj Murtle awesome. The room was a bit spare and boring. It had the bare minimum for the price
Positive energy...unique experience...laid back...down to earth..:Good people...very friendly.
This is a nudist resort. Thats the main appeal and the pool area and nude areas I would rate much higher. This review is for onsite accommodations. The housing is sub-par and they say they are in the process of renovations. The staff is friendly. The wifi in the rooms was spotty at best. Be prepared to rent towels for the pool or bring your own.
We went to the resort for an event. Had a nice dinner before enjoying the club. Service was awful but the music and other guests made up for it.
Bar prices were standard. The atmosphere was okay I felt out of place being the youngest person there. Everyone seemed to avoid me. I dont like that places like this use entry prices to discourage solo men. However I understand the need to do it. Overall, not a bad experience.
VERY polite and courteous staff, clean facility, all inclusive style makes it very relaxing! We really enjoyed our first time here!
Local nude resort, still improving everyday.
Never been there, called to see what events was happening on a certain day.
The room was terrible. No clock. No phone. No towel racks. No hairdryer. No place to put the soap in shower. No place for breakfast. Had to rent towels. Person at front desk was not efficient
Place was great and so was service until checkout. Was told we could stay until 12 without charge but the young lady at the desk wanted to argue the point. Finally a manager was called and restored common sense. Other than that one hiccup, was very pleasurable. The guest and staff ( except for the previously mentioned front desk person ) were friendly. I would recommend and stay here again.
Love this place! Very relaxed atmosphere. Love that couples are free on Wednesday nights!
Its my home and I love it here!
Bartenders seemed a little unsure of pricing, such as differences between the bottle and draft versions of a beer, for example. Likewise, restrooms and showers could be better identified with signs in the pool area, they werent very obvious for a first time guest. That being said, overall great place. Pools were nice, the crowd was very relaxed and friendly. Water volleyball courts, various yard games, etc. Nice that they have a little club on site for nightlife.Really great if youre wanting a relaxed, yet still fun, naturist experience that doesnt break the bank. Accommodations were average, and acceptable.
We had a good time overall. Laid back, zero pressure atmosphere was appreciated.
My husband and some of our bowling friends enjoy relaxing here a couple times a month. Food and drinks can be pricey, but overall a charming experience. Its truly a shame Royal Lanes was shut down, as it was located right next door to the resort.
I highly recommend. We had a wonderful time. Alot of nice people.
Paradise is a nice Nudist resort. It is expensive compared to Lake Como next door. At Lake Como you can bring food and snacks to the pool. No problem. At Lake Paradise you have to buy everything there for excessively high prices.
Owner of the club house and pools is letting it go to hell. Price for a couple is over a thousand dollars. Lake coumo right behind is so much better a years membership for a couple is under 600 a year, employees are great, amazing atmosphere.
Clean rooms, warm water friendly people of all ages over 21
Nice, clean, friendly people. good bar and activities.
This Place has gone way downhill! Went one evening last week and place was full Red Neck couples with heavier than life ladies. No class at all for the more intelligent people. Paradise has designated smoking areas that that management does not enforce, rampant smokers and vapers in the conversation pool and hot tub areas so if your into second hand smoke and future lung cancer, this is the place for you.Place is in desperate need of new owners to clean the place up and focus on bringing quality patrons in.
Friendly people. We have made many friends there. Cant wait to go back again soon!
Casual clothing optional resort. Nice people. Good food. A bit dated and worn. Activities all day and most evenings.
This place is quite unfortunate. Usually at least one of the pools is non-functional or unheated. The staff is just plain nasty ... and RUDE. They act like they are doing you a favor just answering your questions. The food is adequate on the best of days and it, like the drinks, is way overpriced. Remarkably, there is no waitstaff for food or bar service at all. There are more old men sitting around gawking at what few women there are than anything else - which is creepy to say the least. And everyone is, at the very youngest, 65 years old. Its quickly becoming a boring mess. What a shame! I suggest you stay at one of the private rentals in Paradise Resort Nudist Community and do your eating, drinking and partying at Caliente or Como!
I have the best time here. I love Paradise Laked
Very clean and nice place. Frendly staff
Beautiful Place to Relax n the Staff are Wonderful
The atmosphere was relaxing, the food was great, and the karaoke was on point. I love hanging out in the hot tube and conversation pool
I was there a total of 6 hours....9:00 pm until 3 :00 am because of an early flight.
Gladys our bartender was the BEST!!! Rooms were EH... pub food was ok.. but Gladys was great!!
Rooms are cool! Mirrors in most. Always fun times! Natalie at the front desk is Great! We are looking forward to our next visit.
Once again ownership just doesnt get it. When the people at the top do not have a hospitality background their doomed to making the same mistakes Paradise Lakes does. My friend and I were visiting a resident and wanted to go have lunch. Keep in mind the bar that serves lunch doesnt have the greatest food in the world because they cant afford a good vendor and a good chef. But thats another matter. This is a place thats having a real problem for filling tables. So we go to the front desk and ask if we can go in and get a sandwich and a beer. We were informed by the front desk and unless we paid a $65 fee we could not walk into the restaurant that was a hundred feet away. Thats right a $65 cover charge for mediocre food and a beer. SMH
L wonderful people. Great staff. Good place to unlax.
Absolute wonderful place. Wonderful people. Home away from home.
I had a wonderful time! Accommodations were acceptable, although on a cold day it would have been nice to have a blow dryer to dry my hair from the hot tub! No where to go for late night drinks or snacks other than the lobby to the vending machine fridge. Will be back (and bringing my own blow dryer, drinks and snacks lol)!
Nice upscale clothing optional resort. Rooms small but clean. Very comfortable beds. Plain restaurant but good food. No coffee maker in rooms and no free coffee anywhere. Mini blinds in door in room did not work at all. Couldnt adjust to allow in more light. Grounds and pools very nice. We will definitely be coming back again. Just a few minor negatives. Not allowed your own booze in your own room. Lots of rules here.
Great place for naturalist to be outside.
I love it here....very friendly staff and atmosphere
My wife and I made a last minute decision to drive down from GA and spend a few days at Paradise Lakes Resort the weekend after Easter. Right from the check-in to our last steps out the door we had a fantastic stay. The staff are awesome. Thank you to everyone and a special kudos to Maria at the front desk. Shes a hoot! Made a great seafood dining recommendation for us as well. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bartenders were friendly and drinks were spot on. The folks living and visiting there were welcoming and just a great bunch of people. My only cons would be that the facility common areas could use some TLC in a few areas (I understand that requires $$$) and a small desk and a hair dryer in the guest rooms would really be nice. Thank you for a great weekend! We look forward to visiting again.
Amazing place to hang out and enjoy. Loved every min and amazing people! Cant wait to go there again! :)
Its clean, discreet and has everything you need.
Nice accommodations and friendly people. Lots of fun, especially on the weekends.
Paradise Lakes Resort is becoming more of a disappointment as time moves on. Its a real shame that they are becoming less visitor oriented as the competition only gets tougher. Two recent policy changes shows that the resort is less concerned with providing visitors with the best possible experience. The closing of the tiki bar during the week after 5:00PM and eliminating the ability to run a tab while in the resort are two good examples. Visitors in the pool do not wish to have to enter an enclosed air conditioned restaurant to get food and beverages while enjoying the pools outdoors. Also, by eliminating the ability to run a tab they again greatly inconvenience the visitors who are enjoying the pools. If they are concerned with visitors not settling their tabs prior to departing then they should find better solutions than this direction. One suggestion is to have visitors that wish to run tabs simply sign up front and agree to pay the stipulated bill as determined by the establishment at the end of the day. Or, simply hold the visitors credit cards until they return to settle and sign their tabs. Its a shame that a place that has so much potential continues to decline and be less visitor friendly. These particular policy changes is why at this time I can only award two stars to Paradise Lakes. Management must up its game and provide better for the visitors.
People are friendly n the reception desk makes you feel welcome
I give it 3 stars because the bartenders Ive experienced cant make even a decent basic margarita. Its really not that hard and they are extremely slow.
Paradise Lakes is clean, organized, well managed and maintained, and a Good value for your entertainment dollar. Competing clubs that do not have those qualities have fake and coerced reviews of 4 or 5 stars. Paradise Lakes is a real classy clothing optional resort and a solid fun value when compared to many other similar resorts.
So nice to feel free. Been going there for yearsAlso nice people
It seems to me that most of these negative reviews are coming from single males. Guess what single males? This isnt the place to come to find a date. The odds are slim to NONE. There are to many of you already here gawking and walking around with your clothes on like a geek. If your #1 reason to come here isnt because you are a nudist then this is the wrong place to be.My husband and I visited every nudist club within the area last spring and decided on Paradise Lakes. We are 100% happy we did. There are a wide variety of activities going on here 7 days a week. No other nudist resort near here offers anything close to what Paradise does. None. The new owners have done so much to fix up Paradise. This is a great place for nudist couples to come visit and stay.
The place was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. You can see that they have been doing some remodeling!
Only gave three stars as they mainly cater to the over 50 crowd, but the facilities are beautiful. If your looking for a nice place to hangout on a sunny weekend this place is great.
Ive been here several times - in the past- hrough the years. The place is becoming very dated. Staff was not friendly. Actually witnessed some staff verbally fighting in front of (including myself and guest) trying to enjoy our day by the pool. I was also charged a corkage fee a day AFTER I had checked out paid my bill in full. They refuse to remove the $136 charge.
Had a wonderful time. Met some very nice peoe.
Ive been a member here for three years and while its not the shining temple of Nudism that down the road a piece Caliente is. It is also not a pretentious as Caliente nor as expensive and in the long run having been a member of both Id have to say more inclusive. It may not be for everyone. But since folks are always putting together wild crazy Bucket Lists with things like Jumping Out Of An Airplane (Parachuting) Bungee Cording off a bridge; Climbing Everest?! Well how about taking a trip around your very own Florida and trying a day with maybe a hotel stay on one of their holiday or celebratory events there? Is that so hard? Try it you might like it?! My wife did and now comes with me to nudist resorts all the time. She never having gone till 12 years ago.
Paradise continues to decline due to poor maintenance and apparently owners who dont get the hospitality business. One of the volleyball pools is missing the ladder so it is difficult to get out of. The fitness room equipment is in poor condition and not maintained at all. The clothing boutique and hair and nail salon are closed. The old pool area has a hot tub that has been given up on. It should at least have caution tape around it. The food service is very slow. Waits of an hour (after placing the order) are not uncommon for breakfast and thats without a crowd! If not for the swingers this place would be DOA.
Single male 26 y.o I stayed as a guest for a day, like it so much came back the day after. Kinda sucked the guest pass was nearly double the single women’s pass which I understood why. Great staff especially the shift leader for the bar Ashley. Even though I was the youngest at the time I had a fun time meeting new people. Looking forward to coming back again someday.
The only place I know I can work in my tool belt and my tool belt only.
Friendly laid back. Singles get in free 12 times a year. Best way for r and r.
There were awesome great experience, will definitely come back every thing was lovely pool & jacuzzi were exceptionally warm absolutely lovely thank you!
Nice people. Great spot
This is by far the best place EVER!! I guess thats why its called PARADISE... Everyone was SUPERR NICE, especially JEDI! OMG! He made SURE we were good and comfortable. He kept us afloat on what was going on since this was our first time. I did karaoke in the nude and felt Soo comfortable, Hunt made it easy. I wish we could have done a duet together. We have come to the realization that My name is June and IM A NUDIST.. Thanks for this experience..
Overpriced! Under delivered.became a member here, after a few visits. Empty promises and welcome package took me 5 weeks of asking for it to weekly to finally get only to discover, Jessica forgot to include the 2 night stay coupon! their respond oops, and promptly provided the missing part of package. (Maybe a regular mistake) unfortunately this is supposed to be a clothing option resort however If they aren’t happy with my lady fiancé wearing a suit they will follow you around, (citing safety reason) till they are finally able to provide the previous paid and reserved room at 430 late as check in is supposed to be at 4pm don’t waste your $ here! I’m currently seeking refund of overpriced membership that is just a harassment, I recommend going to Caliente instead of the dealing with the rude and superficial staff here.
It was alright met some nice people but not really a destination i would recommend.
Needs New Ownership Big Pool was most the Time cold to Swimm
People and staff very friendly and courteous, would go back
Dont hate it I live here..
I had a great time dancing and hanging out with friends at the club. I would definitely do it again
Great looking place. We drank the koolaid and bought a place. Lol
Lots of natural fun
This is a clothing optional resort not a nudist park. Big big difference. Clothing optional means just like it say, Your option never any pressure to be otherwise. All the pools, resturants and club share the same idea, Dress in accordance to your comfort level. This is a very social atmosphere and a great place to meet friends. First visit is free with a tour. Checkout their website for more detailed information.
Excellent remodel since my last visit & very friendly staff.
This place is lots of fun. The pool, hot tub and conversation pool are always great, the front desk staff were friendly as usual, and the service was honestly much better than previous times. I would definitely recommend going here if you need some quality naked time!
The condo itself that I rented was awesome. However, the resort amenities were a little run down....the pool area especially. The railing in the pool was loose and the patio furniture looks like its seen better days...all due to a lack of membership funds Im sure. The issue is that you dont have to be a member of the club to own property there and whereas that might seem like a good idea in the short term its become obvious that the rule needs to be changed. The amenities cannot be properly maintained without sufficient funding. The concept of a clothing optional resort is great and with the right funding and management it would be an awesome place to retire. People there are very friendly and welcoming.
We absolutely loved this place! The staff is amazing and so accommodating! The facility is first rate! The pools were wonderful, the rooms clean and the beds, super comfy! We cant say enough good about our stay! We would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a vacation spot that has true fun in the sun!
Love this place. Nobody bothers you. Strict code of no alcohol in the rooms inside the pool Area.. that’s the only negative..
For over 30 years, i have never had a bad experience here
Was there to watch a show, Boys to Men. I was there for the first show 26 yrs ago. So I had to be there for the last show..it was Awesome. Seeing the old gang. D.J. Jesse played great music. Wally, Anthony, and Mark still s funny as ever.. Made me remember the fun times.. Ill be back soon. Thank you.
A wonderful place with kind people.
Went to club and pool, such a cute little place. The pool was amazing. Separate pools for volleyball was amazing.
I went there for a day, and didnt stay overnight. So, I can not comment on the rooms. However, in general, the facilities are rundown. The pools are kept clean and the brick around them looks well. However, all of the chairs and tables surrounding the pool are in dire need of cleaning or replacement. They were dingy, dirty, and disgusting. I did not want to put my head down on them. The bar is also in need of repair. There was no one there to boot. It was me and another guy looking at each other all day.
Very nice except had to wait until 4 pm to check in. Most of day already gone. Arrived early but had to wait. We did finally get checked in about 3 pm
Excellent clothing optional resort!!! Especially great when it come to respect for women!!! When was the last time you went to a bar & no one! ZERO! people grabbed.... unless you want them to! That is the Paradise that is Paradise Lakes! Women get into the club for free after 4pm on Wed. Karaoke club & Hottub/pool!!! Hope to see you!!!
They don’t tell you that - you can’t take any food snacks or beverages- you have to buy everything in bar! Next thing is ... all resort looks more like community living not resort, they have a pools at the concrete pads. You can go hiking between condominiums and parked cars ...
