The Pines Theater has partnered with the City of Lufkin to offer a perfect venue for the first outdoor, socially-distanced concert!! The Quebe Sisters are an incredible trio of bluegrass...#pinestheater#lufkinangelinachamber#cityoflufkin#angelinaartsalliance

Charming and clean! Feels like a blast from the past and I love the nostalgia! I have been here to watch several of my old favorite movies as well as attend a wonderful Jim brickman Christmas concert! I loved the fact that they play old classic movies that I grew up watching.

Besides the music being delightful, we enjoyed the well-restored theater. This is obviously a theater much appreciated by locals. We look forward to other venues at this theater.

Attended Katy Mateia concert was very good. Like supporting local Lufkin venues, wish Nacogdoches (SFA) had events of this type, however was disappointed in 2020 line up of events. No blue grass events or C& W events, please consider these in future.

This movie theater was really nice. Super clean and staff was very friendly. There were drinks and popcorn for sale up front. Didnt look very hard but I think prices were very fair. Movie showing was Dirty Dancing and theater was full but not packed. Bought tickets online. They have options for mobile tickets, printable tickets and will call. I used will call and worked just fine. Will definitely be checking future dates. Parking downtown is kinda hard to find so get there about 30 mins early and go to the coffee shop across the street.

Well, Im a little partial to this sweet, little theater. As a youngster growing up in Lufkin and living only a short distance from it (back in the 1960s), my sister and I spent MANY a Saturday here. I can honestly say that it still looks a LOT like the original. The remodel updated the bathrooms, seats, carpet, but there are many features they kept. There is definitely a vintage feel. Dont be expecting the gigantic screens like you see at todays movie theaters, but the one here serves its purpose just fine. They also have live shows, here. All great acts that Ive seen so far. Im very impressed what the city has done with this little gem. I live four hours from Lufkin, but usually check to see whats happening at the Pines Theater when Im in town.Only thing I would change about it is the concession stand. Make it more like what youd expect: candy, fountain drinks. Happy for the fresh-popped popcorn, though! Thank you, City of Lufkin!! Pines only makes the downtown area even more appealing.

The Pines Theater is located downtown Lufkin and from the outside looks like an older movie theater. That is just one of the things that make it so enjoyable to attend. Inside its just like a movie theater seating and does have a stairway that leads to a balcony area. They offer different showings throughout the year with movies, singers and bands of all types. Its very nice inside and a great place to take the family or a date night (depending on the event). I highly recommend coming to an event that suites your likings. You can go to the City of Lufkin website to see the yearly events planned and purchase tickets online for that event or you can purchase a year ticket. There are drinks to purchase such as bottled water, sodas and mixed drinks. And there is popcorn and depending on the event other edibles.
