Shedd Park

It was a fun sledding experience after the snow this winter! Good parking facility. There is a nice play area for the kids. And its all free! Im not sure if they charge anything during summer.

My 2 year old had a blast here! The splash park is so much fun. I had my newborn with me as well and had plenty of place to sit in the shade and watch my daughter play safely from there. The splash park is fenced in, as is the playground area. Love it here!!!

Good park for nice little birthday parties, get together or daytime fun for kids

Good playground when youre in a pinch. Lots of trash on the ground (in the playground) and could use more wood chips as some have washed away over time. But there are a lot of structures to play on, which is a nice change.

It is a nice park with benches to eat. There are a lot of good safe play structures. There is also a splash pad on the other side of the park and a baseball field, field, running path.

I love this public park in Lowell its one of the best around!!

Its leafy, its open and its got a running loop. Good for dog walks, quiet walks in the woods, sledding in the snow or just watching some quality local baseball. And the view at sunrise is spectacular.

Love spending time with the kids at this park. Hope we will soon be able to splash and play with friends after this pandemic passes once again.

Great park for my toddlers. Pretty big playground in which they have an excellent play time. Friendly people around the area. Spacious parking lot.

We recently discovered this park and were pleasantly surprised. The water spray park is perfect for kids of all ages. The water equipment allows for children to play in a safe and fun environment. The park also has a full staff of life guards on duty while it is open. There is a small public bathroom which clearly has not been updated in years but there is enough room in the stalls to change if needed, several picnic tables and a huge playground which offers lots of slides and climbing equipment. It is a bit of a drive for me to get here but it is worth the ride for what is offered and how much fun the kids have.

Amazing place to go with your friends and family for outing and some fun. As i am a nature lovers so i often visited here to see the beauty of nature. Theres also play rounds here for children. Perfect place for walking and playing games.

Good place to bring your kids for any kind of sporrnbesides playing in the park. They have a track field baseball field in the middle it is a dirt field. In the back a tennis and basketball court.

Wide open spaces and plenty of trails to walk!

Love coming here for the little league games. A great space to relax and enjoy an hot summer day with friendsband family. Very convenient, safe and comfortable. Please be sure you clean up after yourself always as this is a community park. Keep pets off fields as its not a pet park especially when kids have to play on the fields filled with poo!

This was an enlightening visit. We always hear of the horrors of working conditions for early industrial revolution workers. But this mill museum in Lowell, MA shed new light for me. I had no idea that there was a positive side to life in the mills for young women in the late 1800s. In fact, the women in Lowell helped initiate the movement for womens rights. There was a wonderful docent in the weaving room. And the noise level in that room was a revelation. (They provide ear plugs) You can even buy fabric woven on the antique machines in the gift shop. Parking is close by.

Watched my daughters cross-country meet here. Large park useful for athletic events in a pretty area.

Great overall public park

Great park! My kids loved it. Pretty clean except for the restrooms we will be back!

This park has certainly come along way. It now has an updated fenced in playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields and water fountains to get the kiddos cooled off in summer. Located in a quiet area in Lowell the park is a peaceful relaxing excuse to get out of the house.

There are 6 tennis courts and a backboard. Courts are in decent shape. Nice open field and playground also.

Been going to this park since i was a child! They converted the pool into a water sprinkler park for children.. best thing they did. Great memories as a child and now a make greal memories with my child.

Went here for cousins baseball game mens bathroom was locked all day with no sign explaining why and absolutely zero staff working to fix the issue. Really screwed me and 80 percent of the people there seeing that it was mostly dudes there. Was very displeased that my only options for relieving myself could land me in jail with a sex offender charge. Id give zero stars if possible.

Like it better back on the days, now is too many restrictions, i just chine my car up there from time to time.

Best evev park

They need to enforce the leash law at the park. I was there with my dog and we had to cut our walk short because someone had 2 dogs not on a leash and they came running over to my dog and it was a bark off. Then when I was leaving someone else was walking in with a leash on her dog but she wasnt holding the leash. Everyone should be able to enjoy the park.

Great playground and splash pad...definitely did a great job with the upgrades and renovations!!

July 3 update: people left lots of trash on and by the tennis courts lately, face mask, food wrappings, litter, water bottles (lots of them), metal seals of tennis ball cans. People who play tennis there should do better than this. One court also smells urine.

Nice walks

Beautiful Park, great for Families of all ages. Many things to do Childrens Play Ground, Track, Baseball, Tennis, Basketball.

Great place to burn off some summer energy. Huge playground and a great splash pad to cool off in.

....they need more trash barrels, only two were in the dugouts, had to throw rubbish over the fence.

This park has a playground, a splashing water area, baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and a trail. Its nice for families. On the downside, their bathrooms are always dirty and sometimes closed during regular hours.

Used to play baseball at this park. When I got older, I played tennis there. Its a really nice park. Would go back.

Play Pokémon Go and Wizards Unite down there get great results. Only problem is zero lightning so not safe area at night to play

Born and raised in Lowell. Grew up next to this park my whole childhood and teenage years. This park was the go to park from all around. They use to have a pool that was removed and replaced with a splash pad which is awesome. Baseball fields, soccer, tennis courts, running circle u name it. Sledding in the winter is awesome also. Very well kept and very enjoyable for the whole family. Swing sets are also here with other playground systems. Ice cream trucks soft serve or what have u are a constant visit in the park. Food concessions when ball games are being played and if ur wanting more there are several fast food restaurants right off the parks property. If ur not wanting fast food there are regular restaurants also that are right there off parks property with convenience stores. Plenty of room so its not like when the park is at peak with visitors u wont have room to relax. Just a wonderful clean park with awesome amenities and lots of memories for myself, and I go back to the early 80s with this park. A must visit for a day of fun if ever in the area.

Nice track around baseball field running trail through some woods. Frog pond near the school. Great for walks and one of the oldest cemeteries beautiful trees flowers.. tennis courts,basketball courts,small splash

My dog loves walking around the park. For kids they put in jungle gym activity stations last year. And there is a track to walk or run, baseball field, tennis courts. A fun place to visit on a nice day.

This park is a go-to for all locals. There is plenty of parking, lots to do, and the facilities are high quality (except the bathrooms which are, well, public bathrooms). Be sure to stop by the splash pad when its open in the summer.

I like shedd park they have a rollerblade ring. Sprinklers in the summer for kids all ages. Its alsi good for cookouts and birthday parties. Or if your into running they have a track for that.

Water park is fun bring our grandson there he loves it.

Its a pretty good place to play soccer with some friends, mess around in the play ground, and a bunch more. Its the weather you should be criticizing these days when it comes to parks.

Overall the park itself is excellent. However upkeep is severely lacking. The wood mulch is low enough in places that the concrete base of the park and/or equipment was showing. A few repairs to the equipment is needed. The bathrooms would be much more helpful if they were open.

Nicest park in the city visit youll see

In such a busy, bustling, and certainly a multicultural city. Exists this amazing park! #sheddparklowell My children would co-sign that above statement. Nevertheless kudos to the city for taking care, and providing a safe fun place for folks as well as children of course to have fun! The best part is exploring nature with my #canonrebel I found this Monarch at rest. This beautiful butterfly was humbling to see. In such a large park.
