I dont hate that place I think its beautiful its a great place to go its clean very nice I enjoy it I walk down pretty far to go there. Thank you for everything for having that park it means a lot.
I’m grateful to live right near Kerouac park. It’s a beautiful tribute to a revolutionary writer known the world over. He was born not too far away on Lupine Rd. I had the opportunity to spend most of my day there last month and hang out with and get to know some of the locals. The park is in the shape of a circle and a cross representing Jack’s faith in Catholicism and Buddhism. The park consists of marble pieces with inscriptions of some of his selected prose works like Dr. Sax, Mexico City Blues, Maggie Cassidy, Visions of Gerard and The Town and the City. The park could definitely use a cleaning, but is a touching memorial to a renegade of literary culture.
Very pretty park to sit in. The only problem druggie and drinks ruin it for the public
Full of alcoholics and drug addicts, no place to relax,, not a place for kids!! The city needs to do something about this!!
Lots of history. Man-made concrete ping pong table and cornhole boards. The elements of homeless and alcohol are somewhat disconcerting
Nice park and it is nice place to spent time with your family, friends and love ones but some trash scattered in other spot.
Nice shaded spot to relax. Has cornhole game as checkered table has ping pong table and during the summer months they have live music! Its a cool little spot!
Too many junkies around
Peaceful place
Nice area to relax.
Worth taking a look at. Keep away from the addicted. They can be a bit much to deal with.
Great! Theres poems carved in each stone on every side. And ... Jimmy page of LED ZEPPLIN goes there to pay respect to a friend he once knew!! Yes very true!!
A tribute park to a local son. well used by community
New cleanup of park added checkers/chess board tables and seating and also other activitie for families
Cool little park. Just watch out for the homeless/druggies!
Very cool how they have some of Jack Kerouca writing on the wall of structures.
Great place to draw, skateboard or play cornhole and chess
The readings of his gravels, thoughts were wonderful
Needs a lot of work. It’s a cute place and cool history, but it’s neglected to say the least. There’s an effort to revitalize it, which will hopefully make it a more welcoming place.
Relaxing park with monuments nothing for kids though.
This is a very nice place and it was clean.
Beautiful place to sit
“All human beings are also dream beings. Dreaming ties all mankind together” I’d like to think this quote by American Novelist Jack Kerouac. Born in #lowell had a significant aspect to this amazing tiny park. Overlaid with the most beautiful green trees one could see in a bustling city. Traffic midday is overwhelming. But if it were possible to pull over, and sit in the park. Until traffic eased up. You might end up being inspired, to write your own poetic quote. #historicpark in a #historiccity ...how fitting
This is a place Kerouac lovers must see.
Long live jack *
Lots of trash around..including some trashy people. dog poop every where . went for food truck Friday there which was pleasant but wont go out of my way to go there again.
Was on the bench, eating Chinese food
Why are yall complaining about vagrants? Do you even know who Jack Kerouac was??
Nice park but alot of the homeless hang around there which makes it not so good from time to time
Not a bad place to sit and relax a little while. Occasionally some illegal activity might go on, but people usually keep to themselves so its not too big a deal.
I live right across the street
Good
Cox Memorial bridge lighting was a blast
The sometimes homeless person asking for money makes me not want to stay longer than I need to cool down from walking.
Good place to rememberveterans
Neglected
